The Candlesticks feature lovely Repousse designs throughout and are of a nice taller size for use on a Mantle. Sideboard etc, standing 7-3/4" tall and measuring 4-1/4" wide across the weighted bases. The Candlesticks are quite heavy with their weighted bases so there is no worries about them tipping over easily, even if you use long tapers for a dramatic look. The Candlesticks are simply marked Made in England, but judging by the fine quality I believe they are by Barker Ellis or another of the top English companies of the period. The Candlesticks are in excellent condition with nice patina, really no apologies and I am sure the new owner will be quite impressed. Antique English Silveplated Cut Glass Cruet Sugar Jam Creamer Caddy Set England
I purchased this at an estate sale. It was very tarnished, I got it cleaned up and it is beautiful. The only markings I can find are on the spoons, and it says MADE IN ENGLAND, SILVER PLATE. I took pictures before and after the polish, sometimes it's hard to get a detailed picture when it is so shiny. Happy to answer any questions and I'll start the bid low enough for anyone.

Antique Glass Wedding Bell - (possibly English) RARE FIND
Up for auction is a beautiful wedding bell. Wedding bells date back to the 1800s when Queen Victoria(so the story goes) had her glass blower blow bells for wedding presents. The bell was to be used in the wedding ceremony. At the reception. The clapper was removed and filled with wine. The bell was passed around for everyone to take a sip out of and wish good luck to the bride and groom. The bell measures 13 ¼” in height and the base is 6” in diameter. The base is red with a white rim applied to the edge. The handle is green glass. As the pictures note. There are no chips or cracks on this bell. Several very small air bubbles are noted in the glass which indicates it was hand blown. Shipment of this bell will be double boxed for safe arrival. Antique Early Victorian English 8 Panel Pillar Decanter with Original Stopper
This is a lovely 19th century 8 panel pillar decanter with it's original hollow blown stopper. Dating to the early Victorian period c. 1840- 1850. The decanter is of bell form. The base of the neck with a convex neck ring and the body with 8 vertical pillars extending from the shoulder to the underside of the base& finished with a ground pontil. The original pear shaped hollow blown stopper shares the same 8 pillar design as the body. And has a ground end which fits the frosted neck well. The base is in good condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is some clouding on the inside which could possibly be removed with the right treatment. The stopper has a chip on the base but no other damage. Offered for sale is an antique rummer. Clear glass. Hand blown, hand cut and hand etched in England in the first half of the 1800s. Just obtained from a local house, fresh to the market! Historical and Commemorative British Glass. Glass is decorated with a central panel depicting two large frigate ships. Small ships, and the rock of Gibraltar. Etched on the left side are the words, CAPTURE OF GIBRALTAR and on the right side of the central image BY THE BRITISH FLEET 1704. Square base with diamond start cut pattern to underneath. Glass was made in three pieces. Bowl stem and base, which were fused together. Measure: 5" high. Bases: 2 1/2" square. Chips to the corners on the base. The rim has no chips. There are no breaks. Antique English Glass & Silver Plate Ice Bucket - Reg. Number for 1868
A wonderful and very useful Victorian glass ice bucket with silver plated fittings and a silver plated drainer that sits on a series of plinths inside the bucket. The drainer allows for water to drip through so that the ice isn't sitting in water. What makes this a rather special and more desirable piece is the presence of an English design registration diamond shaped lozenge having been incorporated into the glass at the bottom of the interior. The registration mark is for February 8th 1878. This recumbent lion is modelled after Sir Edwin Landseer's lions which are found at the base of Nelson's Column in Trafalger Square, London. Magnificent Antique English Figural Match Strike c.1890
I have only ever come across one other of these many. Many years ago. Made from a heavy piece of thick crystal, this large striker was made to accommodate the larger long length matches, the one's shown measure 3 3/4" in length. The matches would have been non-safety matches and would have been struck on the textured surfaces of the fabulous Cockerel or Rooster head. The matches shown cannot be shipped with the striker as this is not permitted by any carrier. The fabulous polished brass mount has been professionally polished to gleam, a beautifully executed head and retaining his original two glass eyes. A very handsome inkwell(see items 35960 and 35961 for a matching blotter and postage stamp box) and a most impressive size. Made from a hefty piece of crystal. Beautifully cut on the underside with the ever-popular hobnail design, all undamaged.
