Antique Tramp art Bird made with metal body with small glass chips over-lay. I am not positive of the exact composition of the bird's body. But feet and tail are metal with a brown material between the metal and the glass chip overlay. Body is very hard and solid on the outside. Bird measures 12 inches from beak to end of tail. Antique vintage 1920s 1930s era ART DECO silver & black picture frame w/ cupid
For your consideration is this antique Art Deco silver and black frame with a black and white sketch of a cupid. The frame is metal and the"matting" that one sees that is black and silver is painted. I have not attempted to open the back of the frame not wanting to disturb anything inside. The frame itself measures 6" X 8" and the inside measurement for the photo that would show is 3.5 X 5.5 inches. The frame and the paint are in excellent condition with the exception of an extremely small divet in the upper right hand corner of the frame itslef which I have attempted to photograph in the third photo. I am guessing a bit at them bei ng French but i do know they are from Europe. Amazing burled veneer that i believe is walnut but could possibly be elm too. Out stan ding condit ion with no losses to the veneer and a beautiful golden patina. Each frame has three rosette de corations at the bottom. This is a gorgeous 8 X 10" metal and glass art deco style picture frame. Probably from the 30s or 40s. Probably brass, although the metal shade is very light and almost looks like silver. Looks like a frame within a frame, as there is an oval metal in the center of black reverse painted glass on each corner. At the top there is a little fleur de lis decoration, that looks like it is holding the oval on the frame. Really unique, but better to see my photos, since my description doesn't quite do it justice. The back is the velvet covered type, with an easel for standing or rings for hanging. The original owner of this lovely frame has put a piece of twine between the rings, probably so it could hang on one nail. I left it on, although it just unties. in very good, clean condition. 6 Matching VINTAGE Art Deco CONVEX Bubble GLASS PICTURES & FRAMES wood carved
I have owned these frames for over 25 years. They are in excellent condition. Most of time they have been in storage as I didn't have room for them. All six have matching doll themed prints in them. But you could easily change out print it you wanted to use just as frames. Prints were done(stickers on back) by company called Image Arts out of Noblesville, IN(they are no longer in business) Wooden carved frames are very unique PLUS the beveled/concave glass adds an extra special touch. One picture does have damage to the wood carving on inside edge- see picture- ALL OTHERS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION with no damage. You can see sealing of pictures and back are in excellent condition as well.
