Ornate Antique Victorian Carved Oak Wood Picture Frame
The outer dimensions of this antique frame are approx. 21 3/4" x 25 3/4" The inside dimensions. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. I would assume that this was not an inexpensive frame in it's day. It is in super condition, with only very slight blemishes- VERY slight. Thanks for viewing this auction.

Antique Victorian Picture Frame - All wood ornate design Gold 10 1/2 x 12 1/2
This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. I have taken pictures of them close up. Frame measures 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the picture is 6 x 8. Very nice piece from the past. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. This is a gorgeous antique Victorian style gold leaf frame from around the 1920s or 1930s. This frame is in good condition but it does have some chips around the edges. The rabbet measures about 28" x 14" Each side of the frame measures about 2 3/4" wide. This frame has beautiful molded corners. For sale: A Antique Victorian 800 Silver Hallmarked Cherub Angel Double Picture Frame. The piece is small measuring just about 4 1/16 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall. It is made to hold 2 photos. The opening for the pictures is about 1 3/4 by 1 3/8 inches. The back of the one leg is marked with hallmarks and 800. There is natural tarnish to the silver and old tape scuffs to the old paper insert of the frame insides. The back has 3 tiny screws to hold the back on. Up for bids at auction: Up for bids today is this round antique wooden gilded picture frame. This frame was an old estate find and is solid. And restorable/ usable. It has some cracking from age along with a place on the edge where the gesso has chipped away over the years and a few visible layers of old paint(see pics) and is just as found. It measures 18 inches long, 15 inches wide on the outside; inside the frame is roughly 11 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches. On the back side, it is made to take a square piece of glass measuring a little over 12 by 9 inches. The lip for the picture/ glass measures roughly 3/8ths on an inch deep. This is a very interesting Antique photo frame with English sterling silver front design on a dark blue velvet backing. This piece is hallmarked with the passant lion for 925/1000 sterling silver. The anchor mark for Birmingham England, and the date letter mark of a lower case( i) for the year 1908. The condition is as follows. The silver has some dings and dents especially around the central ring, the top cartouch is pushed in, the velvet on the front has some white polish dust. This piece would have originally had a filler backing to strengthen the sterling and this is a bit broke up now inside.Measures about 6 x 5 3/4 inches, the circular is 3 inches in diameter and there is no glass. Antique Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frame; walnut, old surface
Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance. The depth of the inside of the frame front to back of frame is about 3" Frame 13 1/2" x 11 1/4" opening is 8" x 10" The frame is made of wood and pieces do not separate other than the glass. The glass rests in the front but was held in place with tape. Also glass appears to have been chipped into an oval not cut with glass cutter. No back is present with this piece. I am offering for auction an absolutely beautiful ANTIQUE GESSO& WOODEN FRAMED VICTORIAN LITTLE GIRL PRINT HOLDING A SPRIG OF HOLLY This piece is lovely and in very good used condition. I am not an expert of art. But, I would date this print and frame to the late 19th or perhaps the early 20th century. The frame is lovely with deep well effect. There is one area on the bottom where some of the gold has chipped off, very small and hard to see as someone tried to cover it. This could easily be repaired and covered. The original back has been replaced. The print is lovely of a little bright eyed girl in what appears to be Victorian dress and hat. Overall measures 25 1/2" tall by 19 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Maybe pot metal and then painted with silver paint. Has embossed flower and a fly around the edge. Very unique. Holds a 4"x6" picture or photo. Outer dimensions of the frame are alittle over 7.5"x10" Has folding easel back. Frame is in fairly good used shape. The silver paint has worn off in spots and there is some discoloration to the paint. Easel stand is alittle stiff but does still fold. No glass in frame. Please see pictures below. Antique Victorian Picture Photo Frame Griffin Heraldic Lion Wood Wooden 4.75x8
This is a beautiful antique wooden frame that likely dates from the Victorian Era. On the front is carved what appears to be a griffin or heraldic lion; it is quite ornate and aesthetically pleasing. It will hold photos that are up to 8 1/8" tall and 4.75" wide. The photo is inserted into a slit on the top. It is 6 3/8" from the bottom of the photo"drop" to the top of the viewer frame. Which means if the photo is 6 3/8" high it will reach the top of the viewer frame. It can be up to 8 1/8" high and still be held behind the wood. The frame opening is about 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" The entire frame is 8"x10" Some of the hardware on the back looks to have been added later. The frame has some wear from handling and use. It is structurally sound, but on one side the pieces of wood are separating(see ... morephoto) Again, though, it is structurally sound. This would make an ideal decor item. Large antique oak picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame fits an approx 22 1/8 x 34 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 25 1/2 x 37 1/2 inches and it is 3/4 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the oak, and is in very good condition. The outer edge of the upper left corner as shown on the first photo has been chipped off, otherwise the frame has a few minor dings, scratches, etc. as typically seen on frames of this age. Antique Victorian Brass Fancy Picture Frame Easel Stand Pat. 1894 Matching Pair
This auction is for a Beautiful Matching Pair Antique Victorian Brass Fancy Picture Frame with the easel stand and are actually marked PAT APR 24-94. They are both marked PAT APR 24-94 on the back of the frames very clearly with a matching number(possibly style number) near the patent markings. The marks are engraved on the backside of the frame. They are in good shape with some signs of age and also still have the glass with the frame. The edges of the glass are rough cut. The frames have a lovely. Leafy design. These are large frames and has the original patina in good condition and measures approximately 9" across and 12" tall. Each weighs almost 2 pounds. They would make a nice addition to a collection or would also make a lovely touch to any home on any Vanity or Dresser. Very fancy with deep flower and scroll work. The opening ... morewould display a picture size of approximately 4" by 6" These would look great with either a picture or a mirror which can be obtained locally. Nice patina to the metal and can be cleaned easily or left as is. It should polish up nicely to bring this frame back to its original glory but looks great with the patina- I did not try to clean it in any way. But we are guessing it is from the early 1880's. It looks to be signed with a name and the year 87 on the bottom right corner. It has a gorgeous Victorian carved floral design frame. The base of picture fr ame appears to be made of wood. And not sure what the top layer is made of. either uniquely carved wood or bakelite. It is intricately designed and lovely! The picture frame measures about 14.5 inches across x 17 inch tall. The actual area for framing(from lip to lip of framing area) is 10 1/ 2 inches across x 13 inches from top to bottom.
