This is a“davenport” table. It was made in the Depression era of the 1920s and 1930s for use behind a“davenport. the name used for sofas in that period. Most davenport tables of the period had face veneers on the tops of walnut, mahogany or rosewood. The balance of the table was made of a secondary wood, usually red gum, the universal secondary wood of the first half of the 20th century. This one was manufactured by Kiel Furniture. A superb Cranberry Glass Swing Handled Basket from the Art Deco period. The basket has a beaded handle and pierced decoration featuring entwined fish fountai ns. Peacocks and decorative urns. The deep bowl is fitted with a delightful clear cranberry red glass liner. The overall effect is stunning. The Basket is a remarkable example of high quality antique continental electroplated ware.There are no marks but the style. Quality and Art Deco motifs would, in my opinion, place it in the first decades of the last century. It came to me as part of a collection of edwardian silverware. Antique Silverplate & Pressed Glass Pickle Caster with Tongs 65J Silver Plate
This listing is for an antique silverplate and pressed glass pickle castor with tongs. The only mark I can find is 65J. The stand measures 10.25" to the top of the handle. 1.75" to the top of the rim, 3.25" across the opening, and 3.75" across the bottom of the base. The jar is 4.25" to the rim, 3" across the opening, 3" across the bottom, and 6.25" to the top of the finial. There are several tiny chips on the bottom of the jar. No plate wear. The silver needs a little more polishing. Overall, nice condition. Shipping is based on 3 pounds, packed weight.

Antique. Victorian era, pressed glass pickle jar is in a silverplated holder with it's matching lid. It stands approximately 10" tall x 4 1/4" wide. The jar fits a 3 1/4" lid. There are no tongs. It is marked on the bottom with a number: 2360. Etched 89 h also is on the bottom which might date it to 1889. Which would be about right. The jar is a nice pressed glass pattern made in 1894 by Duncan& Co. of Pennsylvania called PANELLED DIAMOND BLOCK. It is in very good condition without any chips. Cracks, or repairs. VERY RARE Antique Vintage Victorian Silver Thimble Etui cut glass scent bottle
Incredible silver Thimble forming a case(étui) discretely hiding a miniature cut glass bottle to hold scent or perfume. To perhaps refresh the'Lady' while sewing? There are no hallmarks that I can see but a Jeweller has assured me it is solid Silver. Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Just the silver could do with some polishing, but I would rather leave that to the'experts' See the pretty engraved pattern around the center of the Thimble with also a'shield' engraved ready for initials! The Thimble screws onto the base holding the scent bottle. This screw works perfectly. The indentations on the base ... moreof the Etui I feel sure are there for a reason. But I have found no information about them. The Miniature cut glass bottle has 9 facets with more. Even smaller, shoulder' facets. The stopper is in perfect condition and if you look closely you will see a pattern built into the top from air bubbles. I presume. The lower part of the stopper has been ground so as to fit well. This is a magnificent example of Early American Pressed Glass. The bowl was made by U. S. Glass in 1908 and is in mint condition. The unusual rim is called"Open Crochet Lace" and is 1" high. The entire bowl measures 10 3/4" X 3 1/2" deep. The pattern is a row of large Thumbprint and multiple rows of Diamond cut. The pattern is deep. So it is brilliant when it catches the light. Antique 19th Century MISSION Victorian Brass & Cut Glass OIL LAMP Font NICE
I was told this is an antique whale oil lamp font. It looks like one of those old french oil lamps to me. I'm not a lamp expert! It measures 5" tall from where the burner screws on to the bottom. It is 3 1/2" diameter across the bottom. The brass and the glass are quite heavy and the diamond pattern has been cut into the glass. Not pressed. The glass is perfect with no cracks or chips or scratches. The brass has some tarnish on it, but hey, it's old. The part that the burner screws onto is exactly 1" outside diameter. It has 2 numbers on the glass on the bottom, or a symbol and a number. The first number or symbol is unreadable because the glass design cuts into it. Made of fine quality crystal glass, of Neo-Classical ovoid form, with a tall slender neck, terminating with a tri-foil lip, with its original faceted ovoid stopper, on a circular support. The body is etched with two concentric bands of Greek-key and foliage. The neck is cut with a tapering facets, and the underside is cut with a radiating star. This decanter measures 258 mm in height and 83 mm in width. It weighs 333 grams. Stunning antique handmade cranberry glass bowl with silver plated stand. In great condition. The glass bowl is perfect with no chips, cracks or defects. The silver plated stand shows signs of tarnish and slight wear to the finish as you would expect considering its age, this does not detract from the beauty of this piece. The glass bowl is superb. Simulating a strawberry in design. With its hand crimped and frilled edge having a green rim, and the bowl having a pattern of dots to give the effect of seeds(much better than the photo shows) With a delicate applied clear glass fringe. 14 cm across the widest part of the rim, 7 cm tall.
