Today they brought in this: Set of 3 vintage victorian convex fabric pictures in ornate metal frames The larger of the two of the woman and child measures 6"x 4" and the 2 smaller ones have images of victorian looking women and measure 3-1/2"x 2-1/2" They are fabric and do not have glass over them. The frames are unusual as the tops are turned up. The larger one does have a small pale line in the fabric. Looks to be a flaw in the silk, I think it could easily be retouched. the smaller two have their backs taped on. Which isn't noticable from the front. Beautiful extra large ornate syroco frame. This is not a flimsy frame. It is really nice and heavy for syroco. I do have the back for it in case you wanted to frame a picture or put in a mirror. Notice the great detailing with the shell shape on each corner. It has been hand painted a creamy cottage white and has some light distressing. It can be hung either vertical or horizontal. This frame would be great for a wedding photo! SIZE: 36" X 30" Due to the total overall inches the shipping price will be on the high end. This is a Nice Older Gilded Wood Picture Frame. Opening for picture is 24"x32" and total size is 36"x44" It is about 4" thick and has a 1/4" depth(rabbet) And weighs 12 pounds. I am not sure if it is gold leaf. But gently wiped it off, just in case. There is some red under one of the small scuffs. So it might be gold leaf. I have had it a long time. And it is really lovely, but we really need to downsize. It has a few small scuffs. And a little darker on about 1/2 side of one frame side. Gently used and it doesn't include glass. Your neighborhood hardware store will sometimes cut a piece for a few dollars. It weighs 12 pounds. And large, so shipping is quite high. If you could pick it up. ITEM OFFERED: This nice old gold-painted Victorian frame with lots of foliage. Flowers, vines, fruit and other beading-like decoration. MEASUREMENTS: Roughly 12x14" on the exterior. And it takes an 8x10" piece of art or mat. CONDITION: Overall above-average condition. No sizable or noticeable losses to the gesso. There is an area where the gesso appears rough. Perhaps an old repair, at lower left over an area about 1x.75" See photos to judge it for yourself. Frame is gold painted. Gold is dusty, appearing now to be almost a light tan. Vintage Lot of 2 Table Top PICTURE FRAMES Very Ornate Brass& Cast Metal Italy+ ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR ITEM: Items like these are the type of things we process daily here from complete estate purchases and abandoned storage units. Exactly as seen on the TV show"Storage Wars" We never know what unusual items we'll come across next! This has been used by its previous owner and shows only minimal wear as shown. We think that with a little further light cleaning by its new owner it would be even nicer. Nothing broken or previously repaired. I see age appropriate wear on each. The smaller brass frame is marked Italy. It has glass under the ornate top. The white seen on the frame is underneath the glass.not on it. The other is a cast metal and does not have glass. I didn't open this to remove the remnants of the photo that remain ... morebecause of the way this is screwed together. We'll leave that for it's next owner. The larger frame measures about 9 1/2 by 9 inches with an opening of about 4 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches. The brass frame measures about 5 1/2 inches by 4 inches. The opening is just over 3 inches by 2 inches.
