What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. I'm only really concerned with the frame. The picture is scruffed up a little and there is no glass. I'm just leaving the picture inside and let the buyer do what they want with it. The back of the frame was sealed with paper. But was ripped open and I tried to rip off the rest of the paper, but there is still some of the residue(somewhat sticky) on the back where the paper had attached to the frame. It also has a wire hook on the back(attaching from one side to the other) The outside of the picture frame measures approximately 29" x 25" Since the frame is approximately 2 1/2 inches. This is an early solid oak shaving mirror. It still has it's original shellac finish which looks to be in good shape for it's age. It has a lower compartment to hold your shaving items like a straight razor. Shaving soap, and brush. Could also have been used to hold toothbrush items. Doves antique art print. From the painting by H. Vogler This print was a special supplement to the"Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News" Published May 1, 1897. This print was actually two pages in the supplement and was joined together. There is slight crease in center where this joining occurred. Frame is oak. Rails are 3" wide. This was in my custom framing shop and I asked an artist to paint a black edge around the edge that duplicated the scallops in the wood. The image is 13" x 18 1/2" A beaded black fillet surrounds the image. The mat is green suede. Wonderful piece. This came from my custom framing shop and art gallery that I closed last year. It had well over a $300. price tag on it.

But I'm really not sure what they represent. It's a very decorative frame with a very handsome look about it. It has a number of great old wormholes or beetle holes on the bottom area. Very large antique oak picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame is solid oak and fits an approx 23 1/2 x 28 1/2 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 27 x 32 inches and it is 3/4 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the oak, and is in very good condition. It still has several minor, dings, scratches etc, as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

The inside dimensions are 12-1/8"wide x 14-3/4" high. There is. The grain patterns on this frame are to die for. The original black finish has been completely removed and the natural warm color of old growth oak is coming through. VINTAGE OAK FRAME MADE WITH WIDE CURVED OAK MOLDING. Outer measurements of the frame are 10 ½ inches by about 12 ½ inches. With an opening for the glass and print pf 8 inches by 10 inches. The front curved molding is about 1 ½ inch wide. The frame is about 3/4 inch deep. FRAME IS GOOD AND SOLID– NO WIGGLE. No spaces at the corners of the frame. The oak is tight-grained. The frame has the original finish on it. The frame is circa 1960’s– 1970’s. Contains a very sweet contemporary print of an old style scene– a little girl is trying to give a carrot to her dog. Who is not at all interested. The dog is furry– maybe part German Shepherd? The colors and the details of the print are better than my picture. The print is on cardboard. This is an antique photograph(I guess) of a woman; I'm guessing it is from 1916 since it matches the Marriage Certificate I bought with it. The frame measures 19½" by 23¾" and is wood under gesso with a tiger oak finish. The label says it was done by Halsted Art Shop in Chicago. As the photos show. The frame has water and gesso damage at the bottom plus the normal chips and wear consistent with age. The glass is original and in excellent condition.
