First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. Probably original to the frame. Old wavy glass and old wood backing. Both probably original to the frame. Two women are seated near waterfalls– each is wearing a fancy Victorian dress. Bonnets, and one is holding a parasol. Maybe Niagara Falls? Antique print has some all-over age discoloration. More noticeable on the margins than on the print. The discoloration does not detract from the print because it is hardly noticeable. Framed in an early Victorian walnut frame with original Victorian gold tone liner- both in original condition– a few discolorations on the gold tone liner– especially on the lower edge– see my pictures. The outer corners of the ... moreframe are tight– no wiggle. No spaces. Frame has old glass and wood backing. The lower right edge of the print is marked: ANNEDOUCHE SCULP. Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance. Antique French Fashion Engraving Print Eastlake Victorian Walnut Frame Berlin
Estate sale found antique circa 1880's French fashion engraving in a Eastlake Victorian walnut frame in very good condition. This print is marked at the bottom"PL. L Bureaux Encheplatz 4. Berlin" The engraving print looks hand colored and has no stains or blemishes. The solid walnut with gold frame is in good condition except for one small area of chipped off black japanning which is set over a white gesso base coat. This minor flaws are all shown up close in the photos. The frame has the original finish with a great patina and the glass is very nice. The back shows a one piece this piece of thin wood that I believe is original but has been put back with the original inside surface facing out as the oxidation color is not as dark as the rest of the bare wood. I say this because some layers of old magazine pages are seen under ... morethe wood panel that someone put in some years back to pad out the print to keep it flat and take up the space created by the wood shrinkage from age. Antique Walnut or Cherry Picture Frame with Floral Needlepoint 1800's
Here is a Antique picture frame with very old needlepoint of Calia Lillies. I believe the frames date back to the 1800's. I'm not sure but I think the wood is either Walnut or Cherry. The frame measures 15 1/4" by 13 1/4" 2" deep, inside picture measures 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" The Lilly's are White with pink center with green leaves. Black background. The frame has different levels of wood with gold. Black trim and very deep shadow box construction.There are slight gaps in the mitered corner due to age shrinkage but very minor. Large Antique Walnut Round Picture Frame- Neoclassical Sculpture Print- Circular
Available here is a beautiful round picture frame. I believe it is made of walnut. But could be mahogany. Regardless, the grain is wonderful. It is carved of solid wood, this is not veneer. It did not translate well in the photos. But there is a large lip that is carved around the frame. It is razed approximately 1.75" It is put together with four separate pieces that are dovetailed. The frame is very solid. It is in very good condition. I can find no issues. The outside diameter is approximately 22" and the inside diameter is approximately 18.5" It features a nice print of a neoclassical sculpture. The frame is very old. Probably dates to the early 1900's or late 1800's. I am not sure if the print is original, but it does have some age to it. I have also listed a matching frame with a similar frame. This is a wonderful deep shadowbox type walnut frame with gilding on the inside. it has the original wooden backing. it also contains a tintype colored picture of two women. Maybe mother and daughter, maybe sisters. I have had this hanging in out CT home for many many years and always looked at it and thought of my sister& myself. I am sure it is a New England piece. The walnut part is perfect but the gilding is not as pristine as you might like as it has a mottling effect. It never bothered me as I felt it added to the age of the piece. The girls are hand colored. One girl in a white dress with blue satin belt and satin ruffling. Black high top shoes and she sports a gold bracelet. The other girl is in a detailed black dress with velvet trim, nice lace color with a gold pin and I believe a gold ring on her finger. She also sports high ... moretop buttoned shoes. These are hard to fine. Also in good condition and with a tintype included. Measurements are 15" x 13" x 2 1/2" deep. Weight is over 3 pounds unwrapped. Pair Floral Needlepoints in Antique Deep Walnut Frames
This is a pair of hand-stitched needlepoint floral compositions. Each framed in a matching deep walnut frame. The outer measurements of the frames are 12 inches wide, 14 inches long, and 2 1/2 inches deep. The needlepoints have been stretched over wood and when framed extend the depth by 1/2 inch more. There is glass above the textile, so there is a bit of glare in the photos. The frames have a gilt lining and layers of black painted wood that contrast nicely with the walnut. There is one small fissure in one corner of a frame, shown in the photo. The conition of the frames is very good, with minimal signs of age, and the textiles are in excellent condition. We did not find a signature, but did not remove the needlepoints from the frames. We estimate that the frames date from the mid to late 19th century, and that the needlepoints may be ... moreoriginal to the frames, or may have been added in the early 20th century.

Up for auction is an antique victorian Eastlake deep well picture frame. It is walnut wood and it looks like burl wood on the top part of the frame but I am not sure. I'm not a dealer but I know it is Eastlake. There is a frame of gold on the interior surrounded by 2 layers of walnut wood frame. Both walnut sections have intricate carvings of eastlake flower designs.typical of eastlake. This frame is a deeper frame than some others that I have. This is 3" deep. Although the front part of the frame is pretty good. The sides that are Black painted are rougher. 3 of the 4 sides have chipping of black paint. Looks like it was scraped on something. The frame contains a beautiful antique print of a woman seated at a desk. Writing a letter. It looks like a watercolor. And could be, but I am selling it as a mezzotint, a hand-colored print. The outer corners of the frame are tight– no wiggle. No spaces. Frame has old glass and wood backing. Frame has the original mat around the print– the opening of the mat measured from the front is 9 ¾ inches by 12 ¼ inches. Frame outside edges measured from the back are 19 inches by 21 ½ inches. Frame& contents weigh about 7 pounds before any packing materials. Opening size for the glass is just less 14 inches by just over 16 inches. The frame measures over 2 inches from the side. Description This antique dark walnut criss cross picture frame measures 16" long. 14" wide and holds a 10" long, 8" wide picture. The frame has crosses at each corner decorated with white porcelain and brass tacks or buttons. There is a liner of gilded gesso around the picture. The frame is holding a black cut out silhouette of a rooster against a tan background. The frame has a replaced wood backing and also has glass over the silhouette which is probably not original to the frame. The piece is in very nice condition with no major losses on the wood and no damage to the porcelain buttons. The gilding has dark spots but is original. Antique Walnut Criss Cross Frame W/ Sgd 6X8 Oil On Board Painting Of Zinnias
Description At auction is a Victorian criss-cross frame which measures 14 1/2" long. 12 1/2" wide, in total and holds a 8" long, 6" wide picture. It is made from walnut wood and has pressed wooden leaves at the corner crosses. It also has an inside liner of gilt gesso around the picture. The frame dates to the 1880's-90's but it is holding an oil on board hand painted picture of flowers, possibly zinnias, in a bowl. It is colorful and nicely done and it is signed with artist, Bessie Hanson, and dated 1964. The piece is in very nice condition with no damage to the painting and no damage to the frame except one of the corner leaves has a piece broken off. Sweet picture. Thanks for looking.

Print is titled"In Disgrace" and shows a young Victorian girl, with her dolly, and the family dog showing concern and sorrow for the young boy apparently being punished for some infraction. The print is dated 1906 and attributed to the Gray Lithographic Co. of New York. The golden frame shown inside the walnut frame is actually an image on the print and not a second frame inside the first, though it is hard to tell except under close examination. I just love these deep antique shadow box frames. I have graduation pictures of all of my children in them- so much nicer than a cheap plastic frame. This walnut shadowbox has the intact gold liner. It is carved on the outer edge making it unique. The wood is in excellent shape but is dusty and needs a good polishing. The frame outside dimensions are 12" by 14 1/2" The inside section that will show your print is designed to hold and 8 by 10. Offered for auction are these rectangular-oval picture frames with Godey like hand painted fashion prints. Shaped outer framing with inner frame or liner as a flat piece of wood with an oval deeply cut out to form the opening. The four corners of the flat liner have inscribed lines that form scrolls and framing of black lacquering and gilt lines. The inside of the oval opening is deeply recessed with gold gilding. Mats have some foxing and both prints are labelled"La Mode Illustree" Bureaux du Journal 56. Rue Jacob Paris. Also, some illegible signatures on the prints.
