A cream and pink tin oil lamp, a hand painted pink roses packet of soap sheets, a blue and pink silk 6 compartment ring or jewelry bag, a pillow cover, some spools of thread and some old cloth roses that were removed from a old hat. An antique oil on canvas painting of birches with homes and pond in background. Signed lower left T Bailey with excellent bark and leaf decorated plaster frame. The painting, 20" wide by 16" high within frame measuring 26" by 22" has been cleaned and ready for hanging. I believe the frame is original to the painting, the color of the back of the frame and the stretcher are very much the same. William Paskell usually comes to mind as the artist that did many of the T Bailey paintings, but I did not feel comfortable attributing this one to him.the signature looks good but it doesn't have the Paskell feel other than the birches. The frame, in secondary gilt, is gorgeous with the nature motif featuring bark, knots and leafs.there are several chips that you don't see easily.the cloth liner is quite worn with some tearing.the ... moreinner plaster liner is wonderful and the depth is good. Beautiful oil on board of forest on a cliff overlooking the sea. Stone steps lead up the hill through the pines. I have had many people remark that this reminds them of Maine. But it may be from elsewhere.the hills in the distance might provide a better locator to where this was painted. I've always loved the verticality of the trees and steps in the picture. Combined with the tall proportions of the frame. The deep frame gives a sense of looking through a window on this beautiful scene. The ebonized wood of the frame plays beautifully off the deep iron green of the pines. The frame dates to the 1860s-1890s. But I don't know exactly when the painting was done. 1860s in the title was my best guess.it may be later or earlier. It is most definitely old, and could use a light cleaning if you wish Frame measures approximately 12-1/2" ... morex 9x3/4" x 1-3/4" deep I cannot find any signature. The frame appears to be pine and is quite solid. The patina of the pine on the reverse is appropriate for the piece. The nails that hold in the painted board from the back are irregular. And look to be perhaps hand cut?

1940 ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING, LARGE, GYPSY FORTUNE TELLER, GREAT FRAME!
We have used this fantastic original oil painting in many scenes as it always adds a bit of mystery to the set. What I have always loved about this oil is the dark surroundings and how her skin changes tone throughout the day. It is old but in very good shape. Her eyes seem to look to the future and seem vague in what they contemplate. We have been offered. Several times, a good amount of money for just the frame but I refuse to separate it from the painting. I have this hanging in my home as I enjoy facing the fortune teller every morning and asking a question about my future. So far, I haven't gotten a negative vibe from her. It is signed and dated. The date is 1944 but can't make out signature on bottom right of painting. We are going to be using my living room for a set on our next production and this painting doesn't fit ... morethe futuristic flick we are doing so she is up for sale. 1920s ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING - THE LONE WOLF, GREAT FRAME
We have had this painting a long time. For some reason or other. We paid a lot for this, probably way too much as it does have a small damage under wolf but not too noticeable) and we have used it over the years for all shoots in cabins of any kind. I used to have a letter from daughter of artist who claims this painting was copied and made into prints though we have never seen any of it. It is oil on canvas. I always thought it was a rather sad painting as the wolf seems to badly want to join humans or looking at tiny town longingly like there might be a meal down there. We had our propmaster put a log frame on it for the shoot we are doing and hung it right inside cabin where actor comes in and stares at it as if he identifies with the wolf. Everyone who sees it really likes it a lot. The propmaster put beeswax on log frame to bring out ... morelow luster and give the frame depth.
