This is a beautiful frame in excellent condition& no broken leafs. It measures 16" long x 12" wide or to the end of the wood it would be 19 1/2" long& 15 1/2" wide. The print view is 10 x 14. Interestingly. This portrait is that of Rubens own son, Nicolaas Rubens wearing a coral necklace(circa- 1619) This portrait often goes by two different names. Head of a Boy" as well as, Little Boy with a Coral Necklace" It is said ... morethat during his day, children were advised to wear coral necklaces to protect them from fits and anxiety. Paul Rubens was a proponent of extravagant Baroque-Style. it is only appropriate that his little boy be framed in this very Baroque gold-gilt frame. The 1890-1920 wood frame has exceptional gesso(plaster) ornamentation at the corners and the center of each side.showing layers of intricate scrolls. Flourishes, shells and leaves.exquisitely linked together with a chain-like garland. The gesso is in very nice condition with only minor cracking in one small area and one tiny probable repair nearby. Enlarge photos#6& 7. The original portrait was done in black and red chalk. Heightened with white chalk, which was then enhanced with pen and dark brown ink on brownish paper. This is a print of that famous portrait. I do not know the date of this print, but my guess is prior to 1970 when this frame was purchased by this estate holder. Antique French Fashion Engraving Print Eastlake Victorian Walnut Frame Berlin
Estate sale found antique circa 1880's French fashion engraving in a Eastlake Victorian walnut frame in very good condition. This print is marked at the bottom"PL. L Bureaux Encheplatz 4. Berlin" The engraving print looks hand colored and has no stains or blemishes. The solid walnut with gold frame is in good condition except for one small area of chipped off black japanning which is set over a white gesso base coat. This minor flaws are all shown up close in the photos. The frame has the original finish with a great patina and the glass is very nice. The back shows a one piece this piece of thin wood that I believe is original but has been put back with the original inside surface facing out as the oxidation color is not as dark as the rest of the bare wood. I say this because some layers of old magazine pages are seen under ... morethe wood panel that someone put in some years back to pad out the print to keep it flat and take up the space created by the wood shrinkage from age. ANTIQUE ART DECO BRASS? FRAME. MEASURING 7 inches by 10 inches, outside measurements. The metal frame has a raised circular texture to the front, with an applied decoration at each front corner. The frame is circa 1920– 1930’s. It is not attracted by a magnet. So it may be brass– don’t know for sure. The antique frame contains a VICTORIAN colored print– a chromolith– of a little girl mending a sock. Setting is a quaint seaside village with seagulls in the top margin. A very sweet little tiger cat– kitten in playing in the front. The colored antique print is from circa 1900– 1910’s- it is probably an old illustration from a Victorian children’s storybook. Title at the bottom center is“Father’s Little Maid” Print seems in good condition– no tears. No stains. Good color. This is a combination of two very interesting objects- a Tom Lovell print of"The Continental Soldier 1 781" and a beautif ul brass coating over metal(I think) frame with the Continental Army insignia at the top. It w ould be a fantastic gift for the collector. Especially with Father's Day coming up. I am sorry. I really don't know anything about antiques, but I will try to describe it. It is 22" high, 14 1/2" across, and 1" deep. With domed glass. The frame seems to be very old. And definitely has wear, but that just adds to its charm. The brass has come off a little in many areas- please look at the pictures. The print is(I think) from 1962. It is in perfect condition. The white spots are from the flash. Inside the domed glass a greenish burlap fabric frames the print. And is actually quite attractive. What ... morelooks like stains on the mat are actually shadows from the flash. The back is a copper colored metal, and it has a dent on one side. It is very heavy(3 pounds, 12 ounces) And I will insure. Thank you for looking.

This is an antique tiger wood frame 16 1/2" x 21 1/2" wide. It is 14" x 18" on the inside. The print is a Morris and Bendien" Mother and Son" Isreals is in the other corner, probably the artist. The second picture is what is written on the back of the print. There is some darker places on the print that look like tornados where dirt got inside over the years and the frame has some light scratches that I touched up with stain. The biggest spot, picture 4, which is really not all that noticeable. The last picture was taken outside so there is some shading from the trees. Vintage or Antique Gold Gilted Small Wooden Frame with George Inness Print
Beautiful antique or vintage gold gilted wooden frame with early George Inness print This frame is really nice and in fairly good condition for age. I'm not sure how to best describe the design. So am showing lots of pictures. The frame margin is approxl 1 1/2" wide. The frame measures approx. 15" wide and 11" tall. There are a couple of small areas of missing gilt, including upper right corner, but could easily be repaired. The frame has nice old glass. The print in the frame is called"Peace and Plenty" by George Inness. A beautiful picture of a harvest scene. This It is marked on the back of the frame. But it has been touched up with paint and it is in all corners so it looks nicely symetrical. The print has descent color. The matting around it looks like it got wet in a couple places. Large Antique Walnut Round Picture Frame- Neoclassical Sculpture Print- Circular
Available here is a beautiful round picture frame. I believe it is made of walnut. But could be mahogany. Regardless, the grain is wonderful. It is carved of solid wood, this is not veneer. It did not translate well in the photos. But there is a large lip that is carved around the frame. It is razed approximately 1.75" It is put together with four separate pieces that are dovetailed. The frame is very solid. It is in very good condition. I can find no issues. The outside diameter is approximately 22" and the inside diameter is approximately 18.5" It features a nice print of a neoclassical sculpture. The frame is very old. Probably dates to the early 1900's or late 1800's. I am not sure if the print is original, but it does have some age to it. I have also listed a matching frame with a similar frame. We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Antique, framed print. The print is signed(picture 5) The subject is an exquisitely executed sketch of a Skye Terrier. The detailing is remarkable and quite realistic. The expression is captivating. The print is framed in the most beautiful manner. The antique, wooden frame is large and substantial. It is finished in black with thick, carved wood, acanthus leaf and scroll accents. These accents highlight and practically cover each corner and extend up the sides, top and bottom. They are gold giltwood and are striking against the black. The print has EDIZ P.V. 21 inscribed under the terrier(picture 6) According to a couple of knowledgeable sources. This indicate that this is, in fact, an engraved reprint of an original art. The number 21 indicates the printing was done in 1921. The matte is also stamped ... morewith two insignias(see picture#7) The first is a fleur de lis with a circle around it. In very tiny print within this circle are the the words, Ediz. P.V. Fiorenza" This indicates that the print and matte were done in Italy. The second stamp on the frame is an artist's paint brush surrounded by a rectangle. Inside the rectangle are the words"Coloratura a Mano" and"Originale Ponte Vecchio" According to what I find online, this is the company in Italy that did the printing. This company was in business in the 1920s and the 1930s. This is an exceptional piece. Both in design and in quality. It is simply stunning. It is in very good condition with only minor scuffing to the finish of the frame. It is covered with a black fiber paper on the back which is still in very good condition. The hangers and wire are still in place. This piece has been well cared for. The measurements are as follows: The exterior frame measures 21" wide and 24" tall. The glass. This vintage print is signed and dated- Copr. S. Colep 3-15-42. It depicts a Victorian woman seated and a man standing behind her holding flowers. It is pretty pastel shades of pink and turquoise with reverse painting in black trim. The frame is decorative off-white wood with a scroll design and measures 6 1/2 across by 8 1/2 high. This is an oval antique gold frame with a charming print of two boys and their dog fishing at a brook. The frame is 10 1/2 inches by 8 3/4 inches. The print has an embossed oval matte. It has the original glass and wood backing. It looks like someone added the wire for hanging recently. No chips. Cracks or splits in the frame, but the paint does have wear(see photos. It is in a round Ogee wood/plaster frame with a painted grain finish( common to this Era) This Manger Scene is covered by Convex glass and t he picture and glass are approximately 15 inches in diameter. The entire Picture measures approximately 21 inches in diameter including the frame. This Print is in Lovely condition and all colors are brilliant. The frame is sturdy but not without some wear as some of the painted grain finish has worn off in places. It is backed with cardboard and picture is held in by small nails. A gold piece of cording with a picture mold hanger was attached at sometime to the back of the frame by two small eye hooks. This is a fine example of Religious Art especially for it's age. CUSTOM FRAMED HOWARD CHANDLER CHRISTY OLD COLORED PRINT. The print is probably dated and probably has a name. But may be under the mat, so no guarantee. Picture subject is a man and woman going over a golf score card– she is looking at the score card and he is looking at her. Golf course in the background and golf clubs in front. The complimentary print is dated COPYRIGHT 1905 so this is probably from the same era. The off-white background of the print is complimented by the off-white color mat. Print has one slight wrinkle/ crease on the upper left corner of the print– see photo. There is a tiny damage on the upper right side above the man’s head. Neither problem detracts from the print because they are so minor. The rest of the print– the main part– is in good condition and looks beautiful on the wall. Very slight wrinkles at the very top ... morecenter– chances are the print has become loose from the mat. You will hardly notice this. The frame is a wood-like material– maybe resin. The custom framing was done around 1970– 1980’s. With a custom cut mat and backing around the antique print. The frame has glass and backing with the label from the person that framed the print. Narrow gold tone accents on the front molding of the frame. The original finish on the frame is in good condition– a few superficial“use” scratches on the frame. The frame and contents weigh about 4 ½ pounds before any packing materials. The outer measurements of the frame are just less 18 inches by just less 22 inches. Opening for the glass is 16 inches by 20 inches measured from the back. The opening of the mat for the print is 11 ½ inches by 16 ½ inches.
