It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This gorgeous set ... morefeatures a triple back sofa with framed center section. The curved crest rail offers a beautiful reticulated leaf carved crest with an inlaid center rosette. Each end also offers curved crest rails. All three sections have beautifully tufted backs. Open padded arms lead to wonderfully carved hand rest with with incised carving and large drop finials. A shaped seat rail is supported by four turned legs and original brass capped casters. This fantastic sofa does have an old repair to one end which appears to be very sturdy and secure and one rosette at the left end of the sofa has some inlay loss. Thank goodness the repair is there or by today's standards it would have been in the dump and we would have lost this wonderful piece of art~just my opinion. The vintage cream colored fabric does show some ware on one corner and arm and needs a gentle cleaning. Please look closely and enlarge the pictures as all the detail cannot be shown in 12. Measurements: 45 inches high 68 inches long 33 inches deep 18 floor to seat weight 35 lbs. The matching chair features the same beautifully carved crest drop finials and turned legs. Very sound with no"apologies" The fabric is in very good condition. This couch is in excellent condition with the leather having the proper amount of wear but no damage to it. This Chesterfield was made in England and the circa date is about 1980. The entire couch sits on mahogany bun feet and a birch frame that are quite strong and sturdy. The sofa was recently refurbished in England to bring back the leather's original color and luster as well as having the seat cushions re-stuffed. This is awesome and the light works! It's been cleaned a bit and boy does it shine. It could use a little more TLC. What a find made in the late 30's early 40's it has etchings of many American treasures. It has four inserts up top. Two spining ashtrays. One canister with lid and one electric lighter which is all there and looks great but need to be worked on. I would but know nothing about this kind of repair. The switch is always on it doesn't turn off. Very easy fix, but I'm not handy. It copper and brass and weights at least 25 to 35 pounds and is about 30 inches tall. Very Early American Hand-blown Carafe circa 1750 Appraised on Antiques Roadshow
This carafe was appraised and evaluated by Antiques Roadshow and dated circa 1750. It is hand blown and shaped. It valued at auction for $750.00. There are markings such as very small lines and bubbles within the glass that are specific to the very early Amerian glass blowers. There appears to be a tiny inner crack in the neck near the lip as shown in the third picture. It is a beautiful piece and remarkably well preserved. There are no chips or cracks other than what I have mentioned. The wear on the piece is all on the bottom as I have pictured. It is a heavy piece weighing 3.2 lbs. It stands 9 inches tall and the widest part of the bowl measures 6 inches across. I will pay insurance on the shipping since it is such a valuable piece. Thanks for looking!

This auction is for a Longchamps Floral Hand painted handled plate. This Tressemanes and Voyt plate or dish is marked with the green makers mark on the underside of the dish. The artists signature reads" Mildred Clarte" and dates 1912. The rim of the plate has a gold painted border with a flower and stem motif on the surround. The attached handle is also painted gold in the mold of a leaf. The plate is in very good used condition with minor flakes of gold paint worn off on the edge of the dish and the handle shows some signs of ware and use. This auction is for a very old pair of Tefillin that came out of an old estate in Philadelphia. They look to be complete and unrestored with a wonderful old patina. The leather shows terrific age and looks hand tanned. I would estimate these to be over 100 years old. Please see photos for condition. Both still retain their original handmade covers. Each cover has a faint inscription which I was not able to photograph. These are being sold with no reserve.

In 1919 she married General Johan Wilhelm Norman Munthe of Norway, a cavalryman who had emigrated to China in 1887. General Munthe was an avid ... morecollector of Chinese works of arts, and his collection included porcelain, paintings, costumes, and statues in bronze and marble, much of it purchased during the dissolution of the Qing Dynasty. He later sold the collection to the young Los Angeles Museum of Art, a sale that became controversial when the contents of the collection were condemned by some authorities and supported by others. After some decades of turmoil, the collection was transferred to Norway’s Vestlandske Kunstindustrimuseum, which seems quite happy with it.
