I believe this is a mahogany dropleaf table from the Empire period(circa ... more1860) Measures 29" high by 40" long. There is a leaf that hangs on each side each measuring 15 1/4" Each leaf is held up by a wooden swing arm that folds out from the center of the table. Table is on a 20 x 22" pedestal base with metal wheels. When leaves are closed. The top measures 40" x 22 1/4" actually 23 3/4" with the edges of the leaves) or 40" x 52 3/4" when open. The table is in excellent condition with only a small chip on the base near the floor and a small crack underneath the bottom of the pedestal base.
