Hi. All original Wisconsin Chair Co. mahogany dining set. Older, never refinished set. Same as when I purchased this 15 years ago. All five chairs are nice and tight and the table hardware is all in great shape. There are no chips in the tables edge, one small ding in the surface, and all the trim is intact. Same with the 11 1/2" leaf. Does have some light surface scuffing that can be seen at the right angle. The table is 30" high and 48" X 32" without the leaf. Chairs are 33 3/4" high at the back. Don't know what year this is from, the table top seems to be some kind of laminate, tougher than any kind of top I have seen before. There are tags on all the chairs and one on the table. I'm guessing the early forties from the real tax stamp. Looks like postage stamp but used for tax purposes. Prefer pick-up of ... morethis set but shipping can be arranged. One owner for many decades. The owner is downsizing so this sentimental item must go. Full compliment of pieces: China Hutch/Cabinet Drop Leaf Table with 3 extensions Protective Pad(6 pieces) Chairs(6) The China Cabinet is a solid piece with a clear glass panel that highlights fine china and glassware remarkably. Overall height is 61.25 inches; width is 42 inches. The China Hutch has glass panels in front that slide left and right. The Hutch measures 12.50 inches deep. The Drawer and Storage area below is 18 inches deep. All drawer and cabinet hardware is original brass. The Drawer and Storage area has two drawers(4.25 and 6.00 inches high. Respectively) ... moreplus a center open two door Storage Area at the bottom(15.50 inches high) The top drawer has three(3) compartments. The second drawer has one full sized compartment. Inside the Storage Area is an additional full width shelf that is 10 inches deep measured from its back wall. Six Side Chairs; Early 20th Century Item# 130108WNB12 This is a fine set of Eight Chippendale Style Dining Chairs crafted of solid Mahogany. Probably during the end of the 19th century or the first years of the 20th Century. The precision and pride in the chairs is clear, each exhibiting a great weight from the unnecessarily thick primary and secondary woods. The crest rails are wonderfully carved with a centermost acanthus motif that flows directly into the somewhat gothic formation of the pierced splat back. The ears of the crest rail curl back with thick reeding, making a smooth transition into the molding of the stiles and consistent with the molding of the straight legs. The seats are deeply and comfortably stuffed under a yellow damask that, in our opinion, ... moreremains in excellent condition with only minor flaws- we would personally not change the upholstery, but that is a matter of personal taste. The back legs are backswept, giving the side profile a fine consistent curve while lending incredible strength and stability to the form. The four legs are locked in place with a box-stretcher that tenons directly into each leg. For anyone passionate about this style looking for a very fine set of chairs to be actively used in a formal dining room. These are a wonderful find indeed. Crisply carved and finished in a cognac brown mahogany, the finish having developed a nice light patina over the many decades, they are visually just stunning to look upon. And quite importantly, they are of great weight, being sturdy and solid to be used without concern. 1930's Antique Mahogany dining set, handmade table and 8 chairs
This one-of-a-kind set of a gorgeous mahogany dining table and 8 chairs that my great-grandfather had commissioned in the early 1930's. The table stands on 2 pedestals. Each with w/3 brass clawed feet. With the help of 2 leaves(included) the table expands to 12 feet in length! It is in EXCELLENT condition. The chairs are as follows: There are 8 chairs total. 6 regular and 2 for the head/foot of the table and they have arms. They are 100% hand made from the strongest mahogany, I've been sitting on these chairs for as long as I can remember(about 35 years) and they don't even creak! Notice the intricate carving on the tops of all the chair backs, it's unbelievable! This set should not be passed on. It's a beautiful, original design and you will not find anything like it, anywhere!

Seven American Federal Antique Dining Chairs, New York c. 1805-15, Mahogany Set
Set of Seven American Federal Mahogany Dining Chairs Probably New York. Possibly Philadelphia c. 1805-15 Chairs stamped"M B" on back rails Item# 130210WXD05 This is a delightful set of period American Federal Dining Chairs. Almost certainly New York City c. 1805-1815. The"bell-shaped" seat and square back was commercially successful only in New York City and Philadelphia, the only two centers that consistently produced the form. This set is particularly attractive with the unusual front legs, each deeply reeded and tapered, set on a cant with the seat- the effect is wonderful, lightening the shape of the chairs, particularly as the bell-shape juxtaposes the square austerity of the neoclassical profile. Each back is crafted identically, the crest dropping onto the stiles and spindles with small tenons; the plain square ... moreback is deeply reeded, terminating into the seat with a shaped panel return. The back side of the splat reveals a canted frame and stiles, squaring at the seat frame to flow into backswept square rear legs. The seat frames are American Ash[visual analysis. Not micro-analysis] with[possibly] cherry medial stretchers; the craftsmanship is quite ingenious, as the round of the seat would naturally place the most pressure on where the stiles join the frame. To protect the chairs from this, a medial stretcher dovetails into either side, the gap filled with a thin piece to distribute pressure along the stretcher evenly. The only chair where this is not the case is the arm chair, where the length of the arm acts as a square and removes the need for this labor intensive seat joinery. The back rail of each seat is branded"M B" and each chair is numbered on the medial stretcher, leading us to believe the original set had at least twenty chairs in it. BERNHARDT ANTIQUE MAHOGANY 7 PIECE DINING SET (CIRCA 1929)
This a 7 piece Bernhardt Mahogany Dining set from circa 1929. The set includes the China Cabinet(71h x 40w x 15d) The Buffett(60L x 20w x 35h) and a table(w/ 4 chairs) which measures 56L x 38w x 29h. The China Cabinet is in beautiful shape, the buffet has a chip on the lower corner of the left door and the pull is missing from the right door. The Table is missing the leaf and the legs need some attention, cosmetically they are fine. The Buffet has a custom glass protective top and the table comes with a protective pad as well. This set was given to me by my grandmother and is no longer suiting the needs of my growing family. I have more pictures if you are interested. I am not an antiques expert.
