This furniture is circa 1920. Jacobean or Tudor style. Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece that measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. 1929 Antique Dining Set with Sideboard/Buffet
From the research that we have done this is a table made in Wabash IN in 1929. It is made by B. Walters and as you can see in the pictures it has a patent on it for having the sliding leaves in it. the leaves slide right under the top for easy access and storage. This is believed to be the original fabric on the chairs.we removed over 5 layers of fabric and the last 2 layers were tacked on. The fabric shows minimal wear and needs a good cleaning. But we wanted to leave in its original comdition and let the new owner make that call. this set was a one owner set and we bought this from an estate sale. Table is 31in H x 38in W x 60inL(86inL with leaves) The set is almost flawless. All drawers and cabinets open with ease, no noise etc. The chairs are all in great shape except the Captains chair once had a small fracture in the back side of the ... morearm about 2 inches, which has been fixed. Measures 82 inches tall. 42 inches wide and 30 inches deep from the backside, corner to the side moulding. Very roomy! This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. It has an English Jacobean look with a Spanish Revival or Moorish flair, and is sure to attract attention and garner compliments. Hardware is original, with vintage KBC( Keeler Brass Company) drawer pulls. The set consists of the following: Dining Table. Two individual pull-out leaves give this Table enormous flexibility. With both leaves stowed. The Table measures 66 inches in length. With one leave out, the Table extends to 84 inches in length. The Table has minimal age appropriate wear with no damage or significant problems. We rate the overall condition as very good to excellent(see pictures) Six(6) Chairs. The top of each Chair has an unusual decorative applied trim piece made of a vintage resin material(see picture#8) We at first thought it was made of wood. We rate their overall condition as very good. Court Cupboard. A tall piece. It measures 65 inches high, 43 inches wide, and is 18-1/2 inches deep. This set was refinished in 1990 and was brought back to the original bleached mahogny look. Buffet 4 drawer- 2 side cupboard chest fused with combed wood and smooth surfaces. It rests on a base. Antique 1929 Cherry Wood Dining Set Table Chairs Buffet Hutch vintage 9 Piece !!
I am the 2nd owner of this nice vintage dining room set-I bought it from the estate of a lady that purchased it new in 1929. Original tags still attached-reads-made by Bernhardt Furniture Co. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece ... morethat measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic-could be buffed/polished-I leave that to the new owner-totally useable as is. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. This listing is for the beautiful antique Victorian golden oak sidebar/buffet/china cabinet one piece unit with 7 drawer s that I have pictured for you. We have used it in our home for many years as an entertainment center and bookshelves/doll display area. The drawers have been used to store DVDs. VHS tapes, books, DVD player, as well as other things. The unit is 79 inches wide at the top. The end panels extend out from the wall 17 inches. The shelf where the TV is placed is 23 inches wide and it bows out in the center(pictured for you) The TV pic tur ed is a 32 inch flat screen and allows for the opening of both bookcase doors. There are 4 applied trim pieces formed of plaster along the top of the unit and I have pictured each one for you so you can see where there is damage to 3 of them. The pulls on the drawers are original to the piece ... moreas are the two latches to the doors of the bookcases. The bookcase doors are each 50" high by 16 1/2" wide. Both bookcase doors have the original wavy glass. The back of both bookcase sections is wains cote oak as is the inside piece of each bookcase. kAs pictured. There are two shelves in each bookcase; there are two additional shelves stored in the bottom center drawer of the unit. Dimensions of the drawers follows: two are 11" by 17" three are 24 1/2" by 17" and two are 16 1/2" by 13 1/4" The bevel edge mirror is in an area 24 1/2" wide. There are small holes drilled at the back of this area to allow the wiring for the TV and the DVD player and the USB cord for the TV to be brought in from the backside. The center section shelf extends outward from the base display case 5 inches at each sides and approximately 7 inches in the center(due to the bowed design) The piece is very heavy and will require 2 men to remove it from our residence after the drawers and glass doors are removed from the unit. Heywood Wakefield Mid-century Dining Set Atomic Table, 6 Chairs, Buffet Dog Bone
I am selling a fabulous Heywood Wakefield mid-century dining set composed of eight pieces which include dining table. Six chairs(one arm chair) and a buffet in the champagne finish. All pieces are in excellent structural condition. I believe this was part of the Heywood Wakefield Atomic line of furniture. The table has two large removable leaves which I believe maintain their original finish. The table with the drop leaves down measures 40" x 27 1/2" x 28" high. With the drop leaves up in their extended position the table measures 40" W x 58 1/2" L and would seat 4 to 6 people comfortably. With both removable leaves in place the table extends to 94" L and could seat up to 10 to 12 people. This set is very versatile and is perfect for a small space with expansion for entertaining a larger group. The removable ... moreleaves are each 18" The drop leaves are each 15 1/2" The table top surface appears to have been refinished. There is one noticeable scratch on the table top. The chairs have what I see called the"dogbone" backs. There are five side chairs and one arm chair. All are structurally sound. The chair upholstery fabric is stained and should be replaced along with new padding. The buffet/credenza/dresser is in excellent condition with a refinished top. It is 54 inches long, 19 inches deep, 34 inches high. This piece is wonderfully versatile and could also be used in another living area as a credenza or as a dresser in a bedroom. A lovely piece. All drawers operate smoothly and the two swing door panels operate properly and close firmly. This furniture is located in the Lake George region of New York State. The set consists of a 44" wide x 60" long oval table. With the ability to extend it to 100" with the two 20" leaves 6 chairs. Two with arms and four without 1 side buffet ~(second photo. Shown alone) The buffet includes four dovetailed drawers and two doors. Behind each door is a two level cabinet. The banded wood table surface seats ten comfortably with both leaves inserted. The seats were recovered only two years ago with a cream colored fabric that is in terrific shape. This well built set is over 50 years old. But the table, chairs and leaves were refinished about 15 years ago. We have kept very good care of this set. Kindel Dining set with Table, 6 Chairs, Buffet, and Room Divider
If you are not aware of Kindel Furniture here is their website: It is a company out of Michigan that has been making high end furniture for over 100 years. All of their pieces are made to order. Nothing is mass produced. Many are hand crafted and hand painted, including the set I have here. The set that I have was made in 1982 and is part of the China Trade Collection.The original description of the collection is in one of the photos. Here is a very brief description of the pieces with the prices at time of purchase: Buffet: Cherry Veneers and Solids. Four doors with shelving and two drawers on the inside. It has a glass top. Which is cracked(the glass, not the top of the buffet) It is still on the piece to protect it, but it just sits on top, so it is not needed, or a new piece can be cut. $3450.00 new in 1982) Rectangular Table: Three Leaves ... moreare included(they come with the set. But are not shown in the photos because they are in storage. They are in great condition though) The Table top is made of White Olive Ash Burl Veneer with Cherry Basket Weave Framing. Solid Cherry Apron and Legs. $2505 new in 1982) Side Chairs: Solid Maple. Upholstered seats. $395 new in 1982) Arm Chairs: Solid Cherry. Upholstered Back and Pullover Box Seat($490 new in 1982) The set also has a room divider that looks like it goes with the set. But according to Kindel, was not built by them. One side(the side seen in pictures) has beautiful stone carvings and hand painted designs. The other side has hand painted designs and murals, with no stone carvings. The detail in this piece is amazing. As seen in the picture it is just used against a wall, but it can also be used as a room divider, or even disassembled(brass hinges could be removed) and hung in sections as art on a wall. Again, it is not a Kindel piece, and I'm not aware of the origin, but it is a great fit for the set. The furniture shows very little wear. It does have a few blemishes but nothing major. There is also a thick(about 1/2 inch) pad that goes over the table

Vintage Dining Room Set Mahogany Table, Chairs, Buffet 1940's Table Pads NR
I have up for auction an antique/vintage dining room set. That is mahogany. It consists of a table, that pulls out to extend on either end, 8 chairs(6 side, 2 captains) and full custom made padded table covers, buffet, the buffet has a lot of nice detail on the side door, the back of the buffet and drawers. There is a stretcher structure that has William& Mary feet. There ar no chips or problems with the wood. The leaves to extend on either end drop down and pull out, there are normal wear on these leaves as they slid back in under the table ends. This came from an estate of a well known Benicia family, Benicia was the original capitol of California. This is in original condition, I have left it in it's original patina. I have had this for 45 years. The side board/buuffet measures: 67" long, 38 1/4 High, 20" deep. Double pedestal table with leaf. 6 chairs. 2 arm(not pictured) and 4 regular dining chairs as pictured. China Cabinent is in stellar condition. Hutch is large and deep and. A few scratches on one side and one on one of the drawers has a gouged area. Table and chairs are not as sturdy as the other 2 pieces but dont need work for usage now. I have had and used for 20 yrs. Apartment livin now and no room. As you see. The hutch can be used as a tv stand or dresser. Is deep. All nicely finished. A few dog scratches in the dining hairs. The chairs have also had a few rods come off. I may have them. The items are in Plano, TX.
