Up for consideration is a large vintage Woodard Patio/ Dining set in the Grape Pattern. The set consists of 8 chairs and a large dining table with smoked black glass. There are 6 regular dining side chairs and 2 armchairs. Each chair has a picture framed backrest showing Grape Leaves and Vines. Each chair has an off white newer diamond quilted fabric. All the chairs measure 33 inches tall with a depth of 22 inches. The arm chairs are 24 inches wide whereas the side chairs are 18 inches wide. The table measures 72 1/2 inches long by 38 inches wide with a height 27. There are no chips cracks or repairs. Vintage Mid Century French Provincial Dining Table & 4 Chairs
Charming vintage French Provincial table and four chairs. The table features solid wood(fruit wood? top surface with the original warm creamy yellow base and cabriole legs. The wood is naturally distressed due to age and use- mainly the edges of the table and ends of the legs. The chairs were re-upholstered at some point in a nice damask pattern that matches the chairs beautifully. The arm chair has a different upholstery and design as the other three chairs. There is slight staining on the upholstery; there are no rips or tears. The back of the chairs are ornately scrolled with highlights of gold and original caning. We repaired one of the chairs where the dowel was exposed. You can see this in the last photo. The table stands 29" tall and is 40" wide. There are no leaves. The chairs are 39" tall. The seat is 20" wide ... moreat the front of the chair and tapers to 14" wide at the back. It's 16" deep and 17 1/4" from floor to the top of the seat. They were in business from 1928-1981 and in the mid 50's-60's ... morewere considered the"Cadillac" of Furniture Companies. After lots of research. I found other images of furniture like this and it was attributed to Designer Jack Van der Molen. It was Called"American Classic" He was awarded House Beautiful Magazines Best Chair Award in 1959. He passed away in 2011. The Dropleaf Table measures 43" by 28" when sides are down. When sides are up it measures 65" by 28" There are 4 leaves that measure 44" by 10" so when all together the table is 105" long. Plenty of Room for a Big Family. The table has slightly curved sides and the Futuristic style legs with the"Brass color" caps on bottom of legs. There is wear and scratches to tabletop(It is over 60 years old) and the largest spot is about 5" wide- looks like maybe water glass damage. This damage is shown in the next to last picture. Nothing to big that could not be buffed out and fixed. Still has Original Paper Label from the Jamestown Lounge Co. on bottom of table. A very expensive set my parents bought new and is in excellent condition considering it's 50+ years old; hasn't been used much from the mid-60's on. The wood is absolutely beautiful as you can see by the pictures. warm tones that truly enhance the room and create an inviting setting. The set consists of: round dining table with one leaf to make it rectangular; small credenza with shelf; large credenza with shelves. Silverware divider drawer, plate rack slots; four side chairs and two arm chairs. ... moreThe credenzas close with a magnetic push lock. The table and credenzas have always been covered by a 1/4" pane of clear glass to protect the wood surface. The chairs were professionally recovered in an antique off-white scroll pattern material a few years ago. All the pieces are in excellent condition with no significant damage; no repairs have ever been necessary. A nice eBay member contacted me to tell me that Kipp Stewart and Stuart MacDougall were the designers. Created in 1958. The set is solid walnut and the chairs are each gracefully hand-crafted with rosewood inlay. I did a little research on them and they were very well known artists and designers of the mid-century, modern, Eames-era movement. Since then I've found several ads for just the chairs at $5,000 and more. Apparently they're becoming harder to find, so take advantage of aquiring the entire set for half of what you'd pay in an antique store. I'm a huge fan of furniture of this period with its sleek lines and simple styling. This furniture is timeless- it looked beautiful in 1960 and will look so in 2060. Most rare Herbert Ritts Co. Hollywood Regency mid century dining set made from both wood and bamboo components. This high quality 1950's dining set displays an incredible amount of workmanship where the captain's chairs are on casters and boast an intricately carved and inlaid backrest on each chair. The four other side chairs have a meshed vinyl strap system incorporated with the bamboo for back support. While the amount of carved detail in the backrest of the captain's chairs is really amazing. What's really interesting about this set is the faux marble tabletop surface which gives this TIKI dining set much more depth and a very elegant feel which is hard to achieve with most other bamboo dining sets. Beautiful Mid Century Danish Modern teak dining set designed by Peter Hvidt& Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France& Sons. ^ chairs include one Captain's chair. When I purchased this set. The chairs had two sets of upholstery on them; an 80's reupholster that went over the original camel colored leather. The original camel colored leather was beyond repair. I decided to keep the same color- and used 100% genuine leather. I also had 1" of cushion inserted, and even though the original straps were still okay underneath I went ahead and had them replaced, too. There are some slight scuffs on the chair legs. And some deep abrasions on the legs of the table as seen in picture 5. In picture 9 you can see a repair on a side chair leg. I do not see a makers label but it is a light colored solid wood table with hairpin legs. The table has scratches and scuffs from use but has a great patina and a great looking wear from use over the years. The chairs are all in very good condition with no visible rips or tears. Vintage Chromcraft Dining Set Table 4 Chairs Mid-Century Modern Dinette 60's/70
These are available for pick up here ONLY. No shipping. If you don't have anything big enough to haul them in I will deliver within 100 miles for a fee of $150. If I have toll roads it will be more. If you are closer I can do it for less. You get 4 chairs with the table that went with them. Chairs are signed Chromcraft Decorables Selection 1967. seat height is 18" in front and sort of angles down in the back so you set comfortably. Back height is 34 1/2" Seat is 18 1/2" wide by 17 1/2" deep. Bases are cast aluminum and polished and are 17 1/4" across the closest points 23 3/4" across the far ends. They roll and swivel nicely. Seat height without the rollers is 15" Center shaft from the base to the bottom of the chair is chrome plated steel. One of the chairs is missing 3 of the inserts that hold the ... morewheels in. I just put some electrical tape on them and they stay in place ok. Another of the chairs has a hole drilled in each foot where they had a screw installed to hold the rollers in place. They put too small an insert into them and it wouldn't hold the wheels in properly. Also on the others I had to shim the rollers with electrical tape as the inserts are worn. A few rollers stay like they should but not many. If you wanted to fix them properly you can find correct inserts in hardware stores/home centers. You find these chairs with a vinyl covering quite often but seldom with cloth. Cloth looks good with no holes or tears or stains. You can partially see the seam on one of them along the side edge if you pull the back upholstery back. You cannot see it unless you do pull the side back. Table without the extra leaf is 30" tall by 41 1/4" round. Leaf is 17 5/8" wide making the size together 41 1/4" by almost 59" It is a formica like wood grain veneer. GENERAL Absolutely beautiful set from the early 1960's. Finely detailed. Lovingly cared for, this set includes a solid Walnut table with geometric inlaid wood tabletop, 1 extension leaf, 2 arm chairs, 4 chairs. The wood has aged to a beautiful golden color. The chairs have delicate. Curved legs with a cane back. The wood is in excellent vintage condition- no chips, scratches, breaks, or stains. The chairs were upholstered 15 years ago with 2 traditional style materials, and all are in very good condition. The 2 upholstery patterns complement each other very nicely. A more mid-century modern material would transform this set, showcasing the gorgeous wood and the nice form of the chairs. The furniture is in very good- excellent vintage condition. The inlaid top is beautiful with no significant scratches. Cracks, stains. There is some wear ... moreat the the corners as expected but, with the quality of the wood, it in no way detracts from the beauty of the piece. The legs show wear at the feet but, again, it in no way detracts form the attractiveness of the table. The separate leaf is in excellent condition and as expected, is a different color from the table and is simply hasn't had the same exposure as the table. It is is excellent condition. All 6 chairs are in excellent condition. There are no significant scratches. Cracks, chips are stains in the wood or the cane backs. The upholstery, while not original(approximately 15 years old) is lovely and in very good condition with no rips, areas of wear, stains, or other defects. The 2 captain chairs are upholstered in a dark teak pattern and the 4 arm chairs have a maroon colored upholstery. We are pleased to offer this striking and sleek. Mid Century Modern dining set. The set includes the chrome table and 4 chairs. The table features a double curved, demilune base connected with a small stretcher attachment. The chairs are extremely eye catching and feature mustard yellow vinyl seat and chair backs. The chairs are very sleek and very modern in design. The backs and arm designs curve in a true semi-circle. The seats are circular. There are two different chair bottoms; one pair has a curved bottom and the other pair feature four legs. The four legged pair have swivel seats; the other pair is stationary. They are identical otherwise and did come as a set. The set is in very good condition. It is structurally quite good. There is minor and expected wear to the vinyl in just a couple of small areas with one small split on one chair ... moreback. The chrome does have some age spots. Both of these issues are minor and can be resolved. Neither issue is distracting and the set is really beautiful. Please note that we have pictured with the original glass. This table will extend from a modest 48" round size to a whopping 108" racetrack design with all three leaves employed. The cane backs are all in stunning condition for their age with only one chair having a flaw worth mentioning that is a very small 1/2" hole in the cane weave as pictured here. Designed by Richard Thompson in the early 1970's, these four Glenn of California#21111 side chairs still retain their original textured cream colored fabric upholstery.which is also in great condition and has no rips or tears in any of the seat's fabric upholstery. Very heavy solid walnut Scandinavian style table was designed by Milo Baughman in the 1950's for Glenn of California and is also in very good overall condition. Mid Century Danish Modern Svegards Markaryd Teak Dining Set Table + 6 Chairs
Set is in very good condition with the exception of one chair that has a leg that has been repaired with a couple of screws and some glue as pictured. All other chairs are structurally VERY sound. Besides that. There is a couple of very small 1/4" holes in the original tweed fabric on two of the chairs and just normal wear to the tabletop from use that would be commensurate with age. The other four chairs are free of holes and their upholstery is pretty much perfect w/ very little visible soiling. Chairs are signed by manufacturer and from my research I am pretty sure that the table is made by Svegards Markaryd as well. Marquetry decorative"x"s near the corners as shown. Danish modern lines on the table and chairs. Table measures 54" x 36" and has two 12" leaves that can extend the 54" to 66" or a maximum length of 78" x 36" Tabletop needs a good polishing as there are some light scuffs and fading, especially at one corner. I do not believe it requires re-finishing, but rather a good restoring polish. Have several pictures of the tabletop, please view them all and you be the judge. And on the 2 leaves. when you put them in, they don't match the grain of the tabletop. Here is an absolutely terrific mid-century modern dining set by McIntosh Furniture of Scotland. Recently imported to the US from Scotland through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home today. This delightful set includes a terrific sideboard with hutch top that includes shelving with sliding door and a drop front server that could certainly serve as a lap top computer desk or writing surface as shown in my photographs. Below are drawers and more cabinets with blind shelving behind the lovely doors. I also has an amazingly versatile sleek line table with two hidden butterfly leaves. Offering length options from 62.5 inches all the way to 92 inches long. It's history and it's reputation for manufacturing high quality teak Scandinavian design mid-century modern furniture during the 1950's and 60's. They state: A H Mcintosh was a producer of quality British furniture. The company was formed by Alexander Henry Mcintosh in Scotland in 1869. Following the end of the government-controlled Utility scheme in 1952. People became interested in designs which were sleek and minimilist but without the stigma attached to"Utility" A H Mcintosh were pioneers of reproducing modern Scandinavian furniture designs, using teak, which was then hardly known in Britain. The sideboard. In low, simple designs creating a modern feel, became a central part of aspirational British homes. Mcintosh designs are now considered one of the most desirable makes of retro furniture. 60's Thomasville "Tamerlane" Mid-Century Modern Dining Table, 6 Chairs Pecan
GENERAL Thomasville Furniture is known for high quality and beautifully designed furniture and this set from the early 1960's is a perfect example. The Tamerlane line is rare and it is even more rare to find the furniture in such great condition. This 9 piece(6 chairs. Table, 2 extension leaves) set is f inely detailed and has been lovingly cared for over the years. It includes a solid Pecan wood table with geometric wood inlaid tabletop. 1 extension leaf, 2 arm chairs, 4 side chairs. The wood has aged to a beautiful golden color. The chairs have delicate. Curved legs with a cane back. The wood is in excellent vintage condition- no chips, scratches, breaks, or stains. The chairs were re-upholstered 15 years ago with 2 different patterns and all are in very good condition. The 2 upholstery patterns complement each other very nicely. A ... moremore mid-century modern material would transform this set, showcasing the gorgeous wood and the nice form of the chairs. Condition The furniture is in very good- excellent vintage condition. TABLE The wood inlaid top is beautiful with no significant scratches. Cracks, stains. There is some wear at the the corners of the table as expected but, with the quality of the wood, it in no way detracts from the beauty of the piece. The legs show wear at the feet as expected for furniture that has seen use through the years. There is one extension leaf and it is in excellent condition although the wood is a different color from the table as it hasn't had the same exposure. CHAIRS All 6 chairs are in excellent condition. There are no significant scratches. Cracks, chips or stains in the wood or the cane backs. The upholstery, while not original(approximately 15 years old) is lovely and in very good condition with no rips, areas of wear, stains, or other defects. The chairs have been reupholstered with 2 different materials which are complementary. The 2 captain chairs are upholstered in a dark teal pattern and the 4 arm chairs have a maroon colored upholstery. DIMENSIONS Table- Height:
