In addition to the wonderful condition, the beautiful wood grain is highlighted by the highly detailed carvings and the parquet oak and burl top alongside fabulous heavy carved full size dining chairs with leather seats, secured with a complete set of decorative brass tacks. These chairs are particularly rare and hard to find with their full size dimensions and comfortable leather sling seats. The table and chairs are in very good condition and feature intricate Maple Inlay on the table top as well as carved details and legs. The dining room set and breakfront sold together. We imported these pieces from France in 1982. Have had them refinished and re-glued and they are truly beautiful. The Breakfront has date, 1906 and signature of the craftsman. The table can be used as a small dinning table 45"x42" or extended with three leafs( 60"x42" 75"x42" 102"x42" There are six matching chairs. We have used the Breakfront as"The" Bar, shelves have been reinforced, doors have magnetic latches and a faux marble shelf added to the drawer. Set Six 6 Solid Oak Wood French Gothic Carved Antique Dining Chairs
I am selling these gorgeous French Gothic style antique chairs. They are in great condition. Very sturdy and solid and newly reupholstered in a rich cream fabric. I believe they are oak, but I am not sure of my woods. Dimensions are 41" high, 20" wide, 20" deep, and 18" seat height. They have beautiful carvings and finials and the wide seats are very comfortable. I love them but I think I need plain chairs for my ornate table that you see in the photos. Eight Chairs have been recently re-covered in wine-coloured velour material/scotch guarded and trimmed with gold tone braid. Two-piece Hutch is 51" wide. 22" deep, 7 feet tall. Hutch top has an inset, rose-colored marble top for serving and 2 wooden showcase shelves. Lower portion has 2 locking drawers and 1 wooden shelf for serving/display. This furniture was acquired by the owner while serving overseas and carefully shipped to the United States. It has been maintained in a smoke and pet-free home. There are two. Beautiful set of six antique. Mid 1800s, walnut dining chairs made in France in the Henry II style. I purchased these chairs and other furniture several years ago at an estate auction of a family that emigrated to the US in the 1920s. The chairs are in very good antique condition. They were reupholstered long ago in a very good quality tan hide. The original decorative nails appear to have been reused. All of the chairs are useable as is. Some of the seats are more firmly sprung than others and some show more wear. Some of the chairs have some looseness. This is to be expected with items this old. All of the joints are mortise and tenon. Some regluing may be required to get them rock solid. A very nicely carved set. Hand made quality of this type is hard to find in new furniture. Beautiful Antique Bassett Solid Fruitwood French Provincial Cane-Back Dining Set
This gorgeous set made by Bassett features a lovely table that seats six to ten. The table has two removable leaves that extend the table from 66” to 78” to 90” Without leaves it measures 44” x 66” The hutch measures 65” x 82” and features 11 shelves with plate ledges and 3 large drawers to hold all of your china. Glassware, silver, place mats, etc. The glass doors feature removable metal grids. They were removed for the photos. A custom-made protective pad is included to protect the top. Even the leaves have separate protector pads. Just the pads cost well over $200. There are some light surface scratches on the top of the table. But nothing serious. I tried to photograph them, but they didn't show up at all. There are six lovely cane-back side chairs including one arm chair. The set is constructed of solid fruitwood. This set is solid ... morewood. There is no veneer or particle wood anywhere. Even including the inside of the drawers. The set was built to last a lifetime and beyond. Vintage French Louis XVI Style Dining Chairs- 6 chairs in total. I'm not sure of their age. But I believe they're from about 1940's or 1950's. I've used them for many years now, and at one time I reupholstered them in a soft green velvet. When i bought them they were a pale Aqua, I later painted them in a soft grey with umber highlights. 3 of the chairs need repair(the back legs wobble) I've been told they can be repaired. I just don't want to incur the expense since my taste has changed. The remainder 3 are sturdy and in good shape. As with any vintage item, these chairs show some wear and have some chips here and there. The caning on a few has some minor separation, but in general the caning is in good shape. While the other 2 open to reveal 4 drawers. There is also a pull out"serving" shelf on the front. The top is lighted and comes apart from the base(2 pieces) Measurements: 16"Wx53"Lx77"H. The 3rd piece is a matching serving sideboard. The top opens to reveal a burled wood veneer inset panel. There are two locking doors(with keys) on the front. 1 door reveals a fixed shelf while the 2nd door reveals 4 drawers. When the top is opened and resting on the two wooden pull out extensions. 1 on each side, the top measures 80"L. The overall measurement of the piece is 30"Hx18"Wx40"L(top closed) There is a circluar water stain on 1 side of the top, but can be easily repaired. Will send pictures upon request.
