The chairs have beautiful detailing. Cane backs, and upholstered seats. The fabric has hues of cream, blue, green, and mauve. We believe they are made of solid walnut– with a beautiful stain. Quality craftsmanship through and through– very solid and study. The table is an octagon shape with great detailing on the legs and base. Table opens to fit one 18” leaf– custom pads can be used to protect the top. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. Only minor marks on wood from use. The dining room table has two leaves with the original storage“crate” and custom fitted table top pads. The buffet measures 72” wide by 21” deep and 38” high. The pull on the left cupboard door of the buffet is broken. The hutch has four hidden silverware drawers in the side locking panel with original skeleton key and measures 42” wide by 18” deep by 69” high. There is one nick on the front of the hutch. This is a beautiful mid-century dining table and 6 chairs by Hook Furniture. This table is absolutely gorgeous and in excellent condition with a few light surface scratches and a little finish wear along the edges of the table. I noticed one circular watermark. It faded with furniture polish but can be seen at certain angles. The table measures 44" wide without the leaves. There are 2 10" leaves making the total size 64" x 44. The table height is 29.5" The table has a wonderful design and lovely woodgrain patterns. I am not exactly sure of the age- believe it was purchased new in the 70's. I have posted a picture of the company label. Found under the chair seats. This set is in very good condition with no missing or broken pieces. It does have some normal wear due to age. But was used very rarely in a vacation condominium in SW Florida. The cane on the seat backs are near perfect- only one seems to have a small break in the cane(see photo close up) in about a 1 inch area which can be repaired without great cost. The table top finish is still beautiful, like new, without scratches and comes with a new- unused(in original box) formal table pad. The chairs and table base are in very good condition also. A couple of the wood joints could be tightened up(see photo) but this is a very solid and elegantly made set. 1955 ANTIQUE CHERRY OVAL DINING TABLE WITH 3 LEAFS AND 4 CHAIRS FROM ELBERT FURNITURE CO. We bought this dining set about 15 years ago from its original owner. The set is dated 1955 see pictures. You will find scratches. Dents, nicks, marks and scuffs proper for its age. The table has a heat stain. The fabric on the chairs is not the original. I replaced the original tapestry when I bought it because it was in bad shape. There are no cracks or broken chairs. I think the table and chairs are made of cherry wood, but I am not 100% sure. The table and chairs are in sturdy, firm and secure condition for daily use. Even though, this set is over 57 years old, overall it’s still in great shape. The table size with the leaf in place is 42 x 72 inches and seats 6. Without the leaf the size is 42 x 60 inches and seats 4. The table has some nicks and a scratch or two on the surface but looks like it could be polished up nicely. The sides and stretcher do have some nicks and again would need to be scratch covered. The buffet measures 22 deep x 72 wide x 38 inches high. It has one silverware drawer and one large drawer with 2 side door storage openings. The top does have some wear and marks from use. This is the apron f rom an antique table that was about 68"X48" It was an oval table. So some of these are more curved since they were on the ends and the straighter ones were the sides. They are mortise and tenon. One piece has a n edge that is broken off near the end on the back. Please look over pictures) These are almost 6" wide at the widest and each piece is about 23"2 3.5" lo ng. these are r eally HEAVY! They will cost at lea st $35. to ship. Maybe more! North Carolina cherry American Review 9 piece dining group in a French Country design including oval dining table, one leaf, a matching sideboard and six lovely tall back dining chairs, 2 painted his and her host arm chairs and 4 matching contrasting wood side dining chairs. The table and sideboard are both marked and I've included a number of photographs and detailed description of condition above in an attempt to show what a terrific bargain this high quality mid-century American made dining set is, ready for use in your home today. This lovely cabriole leg table measures 66 inches long by 44 inches wide with a surface height of 29 inches. And expands to a length of 84 inches when the leaf is in place. The six chairs are each 46 inches tall with the two arm chairs measuring 25 inches wide, with 21 inches width between the arms and measuring overall 21 inches front to back.
