The wood has scratches and wear but still looks nice(see pictures) The seat and backrest material is worn, dirty, and is torn on some of the corners. We had planned on recovering them before we decided not to keep them. The chairs have"L" brackets added to the underside of each chair to give the seat portion more support. The wooden dowels that cover the screw holes on the sides of the chairs were glued in. When I took these chairs apart to get them ready for shipping, I cleaned the glue off of everything and added a double sided tape to hold the dowels in place when they are re-assembled. All four chairs have a label on their underside that reads"D-SCAN MADE IN SINGAPORE" Please email me with any questions.

This is a very good quality set of 2 antique country farmhouse spindle back rush seat dining chairs. Ca. 1800-1899 but can be older. I believe it is solid oak and ash. The beautiful chairs were attributed to Lancashire region in England. Both chairs boast graduated spindle shaped backs above hand woven rush seated seats. An extremely rare matched Pair of 18th Century British Colonial Planters Chairs from the Island of Jamaica in the West Indies. This style of Chair was first made in the City of Campeche in the Yucatan Province of Mexico in the 16th Century during the Spanish Colonial era and were originally known as Campeche Chairs. They became very popular with the Spanish Creole Aristocracy in Mexico and were often found amongst the Mexican Colonial antique furniture on the old Haciendas. Where they were also knows as Butaca Chairs. In the 18th Century Spanish Colonists introduced the Campeche Chair also known as the Butaca Chair to Louisiana where they became extremely popular amongst the French Creole Aristocracy who called them Boutac Chairs and introduced them into their Plantation Houses in the Bayous and along the Mississippi River. The Leather-Seated ... moreChars, made from Ox-Hide or Mule-Hide stretched on a Mahogany wood frame, was found ideal for lounging in a Tropical Climate and unlike upholstered furniture it was free from insects. These Campeche Chairs in Louisiana were discovered by the Americans during the Late 18th Century and President Thomas Jefferson even ordered a pair for his Plantation at Monticello in Virginia. This style of Chair was also introduced to Jamaica from Mexico during the 18th Century, probably via Cuba, and until very recently they were known in Jamaica as Spanish Chairs. RARE Pair 17th C 450 yr old Carved Cromwellian Chairs
Very rare matching pair of English oak Cromwellian chairs dated 1660-1680. Hand carved stretchers and backs. Seats are hand hewn and construction is mortise and tenon. The chairs are remarkably solid for 450 years of age and can even be sat upon without undue fear of damage. There is a period and rather charming repair on one leg that has been reinforced with a hand forged iron band. This repair has aged with the chair and blends nicely with the existing age and patina. One of the seats has surface separation starting of the joins in the planks. The construction appears largely original. Other than the slats in the back replaced in one chair. The replacement was professionally done and is only apparent with very close examination. There have also been some metal brackets added under the seats to reinforce the existing construction. Up for sale is working non-referb Emil J. Paidar Company chair. I was told this chair was used in a Podiatrists office and was purchased in an estate sale in 1989. I cannot confirm this. I got the chair from gentleman which made the purchase from the estate. To my knowledge I am the 3rd owner. I have maintained the chair. Cleaning, polish the metal, added oil to the pump and other items over the years. This chair has been my baby since 1993. The chair used to have a sticker under the seat which listed the manufacture info but this is also long gone. I used this chair everyday in my studio for over 10yrs. I did take a pic of the serial number, please see the pics. It works. It pumps and does not leak off. I have 6 chairs of this type and this one is by far my favorite. My hope is that it will find someone able to restore it and make it shine ... moreagain. It has some rips and tears but no rust, dents. I am unsure if this chair had a headrest as there is no mount for one but if it did the rest is long gone. The chair doers have somwe tears but no one has attempted to restore it. The arms, foot rest, swivl and pump all work great. The back also tilts and holds in place. This is a very nice chair. 3mths ago I seen a brother to this chair in an antique store in New Orleans for sale at $18000.00. Yea. I about crapped kittens on the spot! While I do not expect the sale price to be even close to this I do feel whoever gets this chair will get a bargain. I have also searched Google up and down for a picture of this chair and so far no luck. The store in New Orleans caught me trying to take a picture of her chair and had a fit. Tables is 71 1/2" long including the 12" leaf and 40" wide Pedestals are 29" high and both have the original claw brass claw feet. Lot of 4 iconic 40/4 stacking chairs in bent oak plywood with chrome steel bases. Designed in 1964 by David Rowland. The 40/4 is part of MOMA's permanent collection. The chairs are all in good vintage condition with normal signs of use. There is a bit of wear to the plywood edges, along with a few small veneer chips, see pics) The finish is very good and there is no loose veneer. There are some faint scrapes on the seats from being stacked. Overall the chairs look great, and they are extremely comfortable) but they are not new. All chairs have labels. We used the original cushions for exact sizing and had them replaced. Also new upholstery and strapping, the fabric is MCM faint pattern muted mellow yellow color which we had done from a well known vintage restoration furniture dealer in San Diego CA. See the unique patina brass feet as well(I left the brass patina,however you could easily apply brass cleaner to shine them right up) they sit sturdy and do not wobble at all. This is a fabulous 6 piece vintage wicker set. It is from the late 1930's and would be perfect for a porch or sunroom or cottage. The upholstery shows no wear and is the sturdy nubby kind that was popular in the 1950's. My grandma had a davenport in this fabric but I cannot remember what it is called. It literally never wears out! I am guessing that it was re-upholstered in the 50's. I will list the pieces and their dimensions below. 1. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PAIR OF OLD CHAIRS! We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique. Early 20th century, French chairs. These charming arm chairs are in original condition with no updates. They feature lovely(and very quality) fabric upholstery in a white linen/cotton with large, French blue(with a slight silver tone) flowers and leaves. The fabric is tufted on the backs with the seats smooth. The seats are quite wide and deep and have a curved contour in the front sections. The frames, legs and trim are wood. The backs have an inset of cane with deep wood trim. The wood has a pecan finish in a medium brown tone. It is not too grainy so I am guessing it to be a walnut or maple wood. The front legs are contoured with a lovely, elephant ear and trunk silhouette carving(very subtle) The chairs are extremely well constructed and very ... moresturdy. They are in very good antique to older vintage condition. There are some nicks in the wood and some minor evidence of age and use. There is one area of minor separation on the back cane of one chair. This table has the four original chairs that have been re-upholestered and an extra oak chair that has a the same material reversed so you can tell which chair is not a perfect match. This furniture is located in Felton. Delaware and can be picked up there although I can arrange delivery for $1.00 per mile(minimum $20) This dining room table is japanned black lacquer. Folded, it measures 42 inches x 26 inches, unfolded it is 42 inches x 55 inches. It also includes two leaves not shown in the photos that are 14 inches each. The finish definitely needs work but this is a good, solid table. High quality work, notice the brass caps on the feet. I'm not sure of the age, my parents got this set used in the 1940's. A very Gothic looking design. They are worked in a mixture of wool and silk threads. The camera had terrible trouble capturing the colours and the photos do not do them justice. The red is quite bright and the blue I would say is electric blue. I think the close up photos show the colours more accurately. As they have never been used. They are in very good condition. There are no stains. One of the panels has a small section of red which was not completed. On the left hand panel. there are a couple of missing stitches and a few that are a bit fluffy. On the right hand panel. There is a small area of blue that was not finished(see photo) and also about 6 missing stitches. The shape of the panels is determined by the red needlepoint. So they could be altered by adding additional red stitches. They would make up into two stunning cushions. POSTAGE. Unfortunately. Postal charges increased here again in April. These were produced for a number of years by Ethan Allen for a few of their lines including American Traditional and Early American amongst others. There are no breaks in the chairs. There is some wear to the finish on the tops of the rails and on the arms from normal use. There are some light scratches(on one seat) but nothing noticeable. All joints are tight and strong. The chairs are just about 35" tall with 17" seat height. The top of the arms are 27 1/4" from the floor. SIX ELEGANT VICTORIAN TIGER OAK QUARTERSAWN VASE T-BACK DINING TABLE CHAIRS
These are handsome Victorian Tiger Oak Quartersawn dining chairs. We were very attracted to their classic simplicity with neat claw fe et when we were looking for chairs to go with the antique oak dining table we bought nearly 30 years ago. Their seats are removable for easy recovering. Which I have done twice. Any of their minor flaws ar e easily repaired- but we now live in a mid-20th century home and need to replace our Victorian with more contemporary fu rniture. Please see the pictures showing a fracture on the upper back slat of one of the chairs. And fractures on the lower back slats of three of the chairs. Which we only noticed recently when we decided to list them. Not sure when the fractures occurred. Or if they had occurred before we bought the chairs nearly 30 years ago. Vintage 1955 Coleman 640 Folding Picnic Table.4 Chairs- 28x14x6 A Classic! Size open is 28 x 28 x 27.75" Nice example mid century Americana in good but used condition. Sets up easily and quickly. Remarkable condition but not mint so check out the pictures and condition notes below. Added 4-11 The whole thing is self contained. The chairs fit inside. The thumb screws that hold on the legs are never removed so they don't get lost. The legs themselves clip inside tightly when stored. Pretty clever set up. It weighs 26lbs. Condition Notes: There's some corrosion around the seams. A bit of separation in the top front right corner where it got bumped. The canvas is stained but cleaned to get rid of the musty smell(worked great) I sat on one of the chairs and it held but the canvas is old and should probably be replaced. 4 Vintage Sunburst Chairs & Table~rockers~Button Carre style~Rare Rustic Charm~
I've got an awesome. Vintage patio set in the rare(and highly sought after) Carre Sunburst style. Included are the 4 chairs(two regular and two armed rockers) The table and the glass. This is a well-built old patio set with minimal issues. All welds are securely intact. Obviously needs a paint job(if I were to keep it and restore it.butter yellow would be my choice! and the glass has a scratch and some chingering along the edges. I would suggest sandblasting before painting to remove old paint and any rust'residue' Check out some of the'asking' prices on similar chairs around the internet. I've seen single chairs with a price a minimum price of $300(one site has them STARTING at $650) With sets running in excess of $1200. And none of those that I have found have the MATCHING table.that we have! Mid 60's Kitchenette Table & Chairs
Mid 60's Kitchenette. Condition is good. Two chairs have been recovered on the seats but the backs are original. Also comes with one leaf. This table has been used in a kitchen and is clean and neat. Would prefer to keep it local as the shipping might be cost prohibitive but could disassemble the pieces to ship if necessary.
