Antique Table & Chairs (4) Beautiful 1940's
This 1940's era table has 2 outside leafs that can fold down to make a smaller table or desk(as I'm currently using it) 38"x29" it is 38"x60" extended. Very sturdy. One leaf has a large surface scratch(12x0.25" it needs to be refinished or covered with a tablecloth. The 4 chairs are sturdy with beautiful needlework seat covers; some dings to the finish, but nothing cracked or broken. The cabinet is the bottom half of what once was a small china cabinet; one large drawer is lined with velvet and the lower cabinet has 2 doors and one shelf. See pix. Up for sale is a Mahogany Drop Leaf table with 5 chairs. Which is fully functional, but does have scratches and areas that could be restored to it's natural state. We purchased this table when we were first married which has been 35 years ago. It was purchased from an area gentleman and had been passed down to him from his grandmother, which at the time, he was in his late 40's when we purchased. So this table does have some age. It is fully functional, has beautiful detailing, and there are no problems in the sliding of the leafs and legs to turn it into a large dining table. The table top has some scratches light scratches and a couple of spots that could use touching up with stain from normal wear. Unusual antique shabby dining table and chairs
We started with a beautiful. Solid antique table with wide round legs and solid, carved chairs that just needed a new surface and we did a five step process to make it simply gorgeous. We began with a light sanding, a full coat of Annie Sloan's Swedish red followed on top by another complete coat of her Provence color, then we lightly sanded to bring out the underlying color and then completed the entire set with her clear wax to keep the colors muted and sophisticated and protected. On the chairs- we recovered them with a Italian/renaissance brown pattern with just a hit of the soft turquoise and the result as you see, makes it a one-of-a-kind spectacular set. I would estimate the true value of the set to be safely from around $700-800 to approx. $1200. The center expansion leaf in the middle is painted to match and hides into the bottom ... moreof the table when not in use. The table seats six easily and possibly eight. For your consideration is this wonderful set of 4 UHL Original Toledo Metal Furniture Co. Model#151 Perfection P arlor Chairs. Initially manufactured in 1903. This chair model was designed by Clement Uhl. One of the original nine Uhl brothers who established the company. Elements of this chair's construction were patented in 1902 by company founder Joseph Uhl. Made of steel with plywood seats. These chairs are becoming more difficult to find and are very collectible. Originally marketed as parlor/ cafe chairs. These have a great industrial chic look. Please view all of the pictures. Being sold as found. These have not been cleaned nor restored. Still have the original square nuts to hold all the parts together. The table and chairs are very heavy and in very good condition with no damage other than light surface wear that I can see. The cabinet is very well made and very heavy as well. It is in very good condition with the only damage I can see is a crack in the bottom carved piece and light surface wear. The table measures 49" X 29 3/4" and is 20 14" tall. Incredible detail on this table. Impeccable condition! It does not have leaves to insert in the middle; it's not built that way. Table base is very heavy with 2 sides and curved. Arm brace in the middle of the table base. Table is in perfect condition, all around. The table is at least 3-4 inches in depth with special detail all around. 6 chairs included King& Queen end chairs with arms. Side chairs are armless. Also very good condition with top finials. Only one side chair does not have the top finials, but finished to perfection- there is/are 2 finial pieces that could be drilled to insert back into the top of this particular chair. The chairs have removable seats for easy reupholstering. The set appears to be in its original antique condition. There is some wear showing on the table and chairs from years of use. This appears to be an antique oak dining room table with 6 chairs but it is possible that it is a reproduction. I have had it for 15 years. It is well made and could made of TIGER OAK. This table measures 92 inches long with the leaves extended. It is 59 inches long without the extension. It is 36 inches wide and 30 inches high. The legs are very ornate as shown in picture# 5. Three of the chairs have a carving of the head of a man. Three have a carving of the head of a woman. Pictures 10, 11, and 12 show some minor damage. Posted with

We have a beautiful antique solid oak square table with 4 double pressback oak chairs! The table has Jacobean style legs with ornately carved trestles on each side. The scrolls and fan carvings really highlight the table. The table measures 40" X 42" and stands 28" tall. The double pressback oak chairs are accented by scroll and leaf carvings and have double rungs. The chairs measure 42" tall X 19 3/4" wide X 22" deep. The chairs are not original to the table. Antique Dining Table 9ft 10in X 44in w/ six leaves & 8 original chairs
Tiger Oak dining table and chairs. They are from the mid to late 1800's. The table seems older like possibly from the 1830s to 1860s and the chairs seem to be from a period between 1875 and 1900. Without leaves the table measures 44in square. There are six(6) leaves each about 1 3/8in. The total length with all leaves is 9ft 10in. The table is in very good condition. It was completely restored in about 1998. The under frame is all original and did not need any restoration. A miracle really. It is remains in excellent working condition fully supporting the six leaves. It opens and closes very smoothly. With all of the leaves. This table is absolutely beautiful. Huge. It looks like it goes on forever. You can comfortably serve 12 and could probably squeeze in 14. There is some minor water damage on three leaves and on one side of the table. ... moreAn example photo is attached. More photos are available. A local sanding and re-polish would mostly suffice although if you want it perfect the entire top would need to be re-sanded and re-finished. But it would require nothing more than that for perfection. There are 8 chairs. Seven(7) have caning threaded through the wood itself while the 8th has an inset cane panel. A two photos of the cane panel are provided. Some example photos of the threaded caning are provided and the 7 other chairs are substantially similar. I'll send you more photos if needed. The chairs are beautiful tiger oak. They were fully restored in 1998 including gluing. Caning and finish. The seat was also repaired on each chair where the original wood had become weak. All original wood was maintained. You can see the overlay that was added in one of the photos of the bottom toward the left.
