This double pedestal table dates to 1960's England. It is made of mahogany with satinwood string inlay and rests on two pedestals with brass feet and casters. Two additional leaves come with the table. Allowing this table to expand from 7ft in length without leaves to 10ft with both leaves; its depth measures 39.5" The mahogany looks beautiful but has sustained some minor scuffs and wear to the finish(all normal for a piece of this age) which I will touch up to the best condition possible before final sale. 1930's Antique Mahogany dining set, handmade table and 8 chairs
This one-of-a-kind set of a gorgeous mahogany dining table and 8 chairs that my great-grandfather had commissioned in the early 1930's. The table stands on 2 pedestals. Each with w/3 brass clawed feet. With the help of 2 leaves(included) the table expands to 12 feet in length! It is in EXCELLENT condition. The chairs are as follows: There are 8 chairs total. 6 regular and 2 for the head/foot of the table and they have arms. They are 100% hand made from the strongest mahogany, I've been sitting on these chairs for as long as I can remember(about 35 years) and they don't even creak! Notice the intricate carving on the tops of all the chair backs, it's unbelievable! This set should not be passed on. It's a beautiful, original design and you will not find anything like it, anywhere!

This is a fabulous antique Victorian mahogany dining table. Originating in England. The top is oval in shape, with a double moulded edge, and the carved and turned legs have castors. The table comes with two extension leaves- the photographs show it with one of the leaves inserted- and it has a wind-out mechanism. There is no handle for this, but it can be easily wound out with a wrench. This table has been well used by our family over the years. Both in England and America, and before that, it was used as a conference table in a well known factory(now closed) in the North of England. The table top has been re-finished in the past, but because it has continued to be used and loved on a daily basis, there are some signs of surface wear commensurate with age, but structurally, it is in excellent condition. Each of the sturdy chairs has a beautiful lyre back; there are 2 chairs with arms and 4 matching chairs without arms. Seat covers show some minor stains; seats may be easily reupholstered. The table is expandable with leaves. Table pads for the entire length of the table will be included if desired; pads have some staining but can be used under a tablecloth. Table leg supports are beautiful large wood lyres. The china cabinet has a wonderful curved glass door in the middle. The matching buffet has a serpentine front; lots of storage. Antique mahogany dining table with drop leafs and gate legs. There is no maker's mark. But I believe it is from the 1940s. Two standard size side chairs can slide underneath on the ends with leafs down. With both leafs up it can seat 8 comfortably, 10 possible. There is one watermark on a leaf(see pic 4) And the top of one leg has some splitting that needs repairing(see last pic) Other than that there are some light scuffs and scratches, normal for a table of this age. I have a full set of custom table pads that will be included. This is a nice antique dining room table with extra leaves. Made of solid mahogany wood. It's very heavy. The legs are connected at each end and then down the center for stability and wonderful looks. Large pineapple style carvings on each leg. The corners of the table are cut diagonally for an attractive hexagon shape. Edges are slightly beveled. Lower edges have some inlaid wood. It measures 45 inches across x 60 inches long. There are 2 12 inch leaves to make it measure approximately 84 inches. Table has gears underneath that make it slide easily to open for adding leaves. It is in good condition. So we put it through our professional restoration shop to hand strip, sand, stain it a reddish brown mahogany color and put multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. The table when closed is 60 inches long, 42 inches deep and 30 inches high. When you insert the 13 inch leaf it opens to be 73 inches long and will easily accommodate a set of 6 chairs around it. The round corner top has a dainty skirted trim underneath the top and the 13 inch leaf is also skirted so there is no ugly gap when the leaf is in the table. The table top sits upon two multi-turn vase type columns that have three cabriole carved ball and claw carved footed legs on each pedestal. They are quite attractive and are hard to find on a draw leaf table and even harder to find with such an elegant stretcher between them. Originally this table was made in England sometime around 1920 and is made from solid mahogany wood. The mahogany has aged well and displays a wonderful patina that everyone will enjoy. A fine English Victorian dining room table with six balloon back matching chairs. Circa 1850-1870's. Made of Mahogany. The table measures approximately 55 inches long x 52 inches wide x 29 inches high. There are two 20 inch leaves(look at the picture with the added leaves showing some warpage) that can be added via a crank mechanism making a maximum length of 95 inches(nearly eight feet long) The rectangular top has rounded corners and a beveled edge. The four legs have a turned bulbous design at the top and bottom with a vertical fluted design between. Porcelain and brass castors are at the bottom. Moving overseas and have to part with an immaculate antique dining room table made by the Louis F. Nonnast and Sons company from Chicago. IL sometime around 1914- 1923. Made of solid Mahogany. Table still has the original manufacturers tag. Has a built in slide extension for adding in leaf sections. Comes with three leaf extensions made later due to the great depression which forced most families to burn furniture for heat during the winter months. Leafs fit great but do not match the exact grain or wood stain of the original table, however they work great with a table-cloth when you need to accomodate a larger group. Table has very minor surface scuffs on it's surface, way less than would be expected from a table this old that was actually used day to day. An old and dense tree was used for this table top, the whole surface shaped from two planks to span the total depth of 36 1/4" the first board is 31 1/4" wide, the second 5" The edge of the table top is reeded of the solid, completing the design of the top with clean lines that flow harmoniously with that of the legs. It is a tilting top, allowing it to be stored easily, usually in the corner of a room in a way that is visually delightful, the ... morethird leg pointing into the corner with the board facing the room. A stretched frame beneath the table forms a box of the crossbars, locking together using through-tenon joinery. Original screws lock this undisturbed frame to the underside of the table, holding the wooden dowels from the pedestal inside for a smooth rotation. Stunning set of six Chippendale ladder back chairs with a custom-made mahogany pedestal dining table. Included in the chair set are two arm or"captain's" chairs and four side chairs. Each chair had four elegant curved and pierced slats with a ribbon like shape. The front legs are straight and fluted and are connected to the back legs with a classic H stretcher. These chairs are believed to date from the late 18th century. The chairs are being sold as a set with a later pedestal dining table. Custom made to go with them. This rectangular table has tripod legs with capped paw feet in the federal or regency style of the early 1800's. The table top has a border around the top, beautifully applied in contrasting woods. This stunning colour can only be found in furniture with its original polish; it cannot be recreated with new polish. The table has a reeded fore edge in the typical style of the Regency period. The table can be extended to fit a separate leaf. The table is 5ft 1½” long as standard but can be extended to 6ft 11½” The leaf is fixed in place by four sliding brass clips. The table is supported by two elegant splayed central pillar pedestal supports. The legs feature the original brass caps and castors. The table can therefore seat between six to eight people comfortably; it is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table. The frames of the chairs feature a rich dark mahogany colour. As they boast the original polish.
