Two leaves to expand the table to 7' are shown installed in one photo. Been told its was made around 1900 has Tell City Furnture sticker. Pictures show table with and without leaves(2) inserted. All chairs were reupholstered 2 years ago. No loose joints or structural issues on any of the 8 items. Note photo of one area on the table where the veneer has been partially sanded through. Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the ... moretable but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Notice that the chairs are in excellent shape and are all sturdy but do have some nicks and bumps with one of the chairs with the broken caning having damage on the backside as pictured. I have up for auction. An antique DINING ROOM SET. The set consists of a large table that opens out on either end, there are 8 chairs, 6 side chairs and 2 captains chairs for wither end. There is a matching buffet that has the same wood& pattern. I believe this is Mahogany. There is what is called a stretcher like pattern under the table and the buffet. The chairs are upholstered, there are a couple of different fabrics, could not decide what I wanted to do them in. This came from an estate of a very well known Benicia family. Benicia was the first capitol of Calif. I have had this for 46 years, need to down size. Table measures 30" tall, 38" wide and 6 62" to 94" Long. Antique Dining Set ~6 Larkin#1 Cane Pressed back Chairs ~42" Pedestal Table~ 3- 11inch leaves Table extends to 103.5" and could accommodate 2 more 11" leaves 29 1/2" tall 42" square pedestal with 5 legs Picture#5 looks like the wood is totally a different color on one end. This is due to being under the ceiling light at that end and is not a true representation of the color. Since the table is a pedestal. There are no legs in the way for seating. As you can see, all 6 chairs will fit at the table, even when it is closed to 42" square. These square, solid wood, pedestal tables are scarce. I don't know the maker of the table, but the chairs and table are all"golden oak" stain and from the same time period of early 1900's. These chairs are all matching. But some had different seats installed, however, ... morethey are all restored to cane, which was the original style. Expect some variation in the stain, as the oak have lots of character in the grain. The chairs were made by the Larkin(Soap) Co. of Buffalo, NY(1875-1941) Furniture production began between 1901 and 1909. You might want to do a search on this fascinating historical business. The china cabinet still has it's original glass with it's little bubbles in spots which makes it unique. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. I acquired this awesome set from a estate sale. The women and her husband bought the set new. She is a widow and was selling her home and belongings and moving into a retirement home. It was in dire need of a meticulous restoration. Someone attempted to do some restoration previously that was unacceptable and failing. I knew this set was a diamond in the rough. After much blood, sweat& tears this set was returned to full glory. I restored this set from top to bottom including new black vinyl upholstery(black vinyl was the original upholstery)on the chair seats including new foam under the black vinyl I restored the finish with many coats of hand rubbed ... morevarnish which showcases the beautiful wood grains. the finish is highly water resistant. Antique Oak Dining Room Set - Table and 6 Chairs and beautiful large Hutch
This is a truly beautiful dining room set. The table and hutch and all 6 chairs are solid oak and are from the early 1900s. All pieces were refinished several years ago and have very little use. The table is 42"x42" and has a 34" wide leaf set that extends the table to a full 76" long and is very solid. The table has some very nice intricate legs and structure underneath. There are 4 matching chairs and 2 matching captains chairs. All 6 chairs have beautiful matching cane bottoms. The cane was replaced at the same time they were refinished. The hutch was in very bad condition when I bought it in the mid 70s. It is 84" x 84" The base was totally rebuilt and has 2 repaired doors and 6 drawers with new slide mechanisms. The top can be removed for moving. I will sell separately($600 for the table or hutch) or together ... morefor $1000 firm. ANTIQUE VINTAGE 1940'S 50'S DINING ROOM SET TABLE AND 4 CHAIRS PLUS AN EXTENSION. THE TABLE IS 62" LONG WITH THE EXTENSION. 50" LONG WITHOUT AND 35" ACROSS. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Antique Early American Oak Dining Room Set Table Chairs Buffet Sideboard & Hutch
Being offered for sale. Is an early American oak dining room furniture set. The set is comprised of a dining table. 6 chairs, a sideboard/ buffet, and a hutch. Below is more detailed information as it pertains to each piece: Table: There is a maker's mark on the inside of the table which reads. B. Walter& Co. Inc. U.S. Patent No. 1736533 26229 Wabash, Indiana. I did not find a maker's mark on the sideboard or hutch so I can't say for sure if they came from the same manufacturer. The top of the table just lifts off. Perhaps was secured at some point. Would be simple to re-secure. Just a few nails/ screws. There are 2 hidden leafs on each side of the table. They pull out and raise up, or push down and retract into the table's body. With the leafs retracted into the body the table measures approximately 62" long, 38" ... morewide, and 30 1/2" tall. Each leaf adds another 17" in length to the table. Which means it can be made to extend up to 96" 8 ft in length. Chairs: There are a total of 6 chairs. One of the chairs has significant damage(broken dowel) Which the rest have light- moderate wear. Structurally, 5 out of the 6 of them are fine. The seats definitely need to be replaced/ re-fabricated though. One of the six chairs is a captain's chair. Sideboard: The sideboard measures approximately 66" wide. 36" tall, and 20" from front to back. It has ornate scrolling on it which matches that of the designs on the hutch. There is a light crack on the front right corner(can be seen in the photos) The doors stick a little bit and could be adjusted slightly. Hutch: The hutch measures approximately 62" tall. 38 wide, and 17" from front to back. The original handles are missing for the drawer on the bottom portion so I put a couple of pulls in their place. Obviously, you can change them out simply. It is in very nice condition aside. Due to the size and weight of all of the pieces. They are being offered for local pick-up only. Antique art deco dining room set with table, chairs, buffet and vitrine
Complete European Art Deco dining set including an extendable table with inlaid wood design. 6 chairs with mother of pearl inlays and velvet upholstery, and one burl wood buffet with ebony finishings and two level vitrine. All hand made and signed by De Coene. Ghent, Belgium. The set was restored and refinished in Belgium in 2006. Very rare complete Art Deco set!
