You are bidding on a Union National Fine Furniture dining room set that is in exquisite condition. The set consists of a dining room table. Hutch and buffet built in the early 1900s. The dining room table has two leaves with the original storage“crate” and custom fitted table top pads. The buffet measures 72” wide by 21” deep and 38” high. The pull on the left cupboard door of the buffet is broken. The hutch has four hidden silverware drawers in the side locking panel with original skeleton key and measures 42” wide by 18” deep by 69” high. There is one nick on the front of the hutch. All pieces have beautifully detailed carvings and“mirrored” paneling. Original shipping tags from Union National to first owner in Pennsylvania are intact. This dining set was appraised ten years ago by a reputable antique dealer at $14.000.00. American Chippendale Walnut Drop Leaf Dining Table. Pennsylvania or Delaware c. 1760-80 Probably Delaware River Valley. Originally One of a Pair Straight Marlborough Legs Item# 130002IWT18 The drop leaf dining table was a very prominent form in homes of the higher classes during the Chippendale and Federal periods. A working solution to the problem of balancing space with flexibility in a home that entertained company regularly. It allowed for tables to be posed as pier or serving tables against the wall, making the room large and inviting during a social engagement, these being brought out as needed to recreate a dining room. This table was almost certainly part of a pair originally. Two sets of bracket holes on one leaf evidence of clasps that would have attached to the leaves of the other table to create a solid surface. A pair of tables ... morevery similar in form, though crafted with solid board leaves, was offered at Christies in 2003( Lot 322. Sale 1189, sold as a pair for $13,145) Intact pairs of this form are rather uncommon as these were regularly broken up as they were passed down in families. The top is crafted of five boards butt-jointed with tongue-in-groove joinery assisting in all but one leaf. This probably a later solution to the uneven shrinking of the boards, secured from the underside with butterfly dovetails. The leaves hang over ruled joints, lifting on two swinging gate legs, the frame and knuckle crafted of solid oak double pinned to the square Marlborough leg. The oak rails are affixed with scattered rosehead nails to the poplar frame rails coupled with one original hand filed screw set in wells into the top on both sides, these boards joined to the mahogany front and back rails with exposed dovetails behind the gate legs. Three dovetailed walnut braces join the frame to the top, these absent several screws, the top likewise secured with three hand filed screws set evenly in wells through the mahogany front and back rails. Large Heavy Hand Carved Wooden Antique Dining Room Set Estimated Early 1900's
This Dining Set has been in my family for well over 40 plus years. I have searched the internet and have never been able to find another on like it. This dining table is incredibly heavy. Seats 8, 2 of which are armed chairs. The engraving on this table is spectacular and it is possible it predates the early 1900's. I have done my best to show its imperfections. It could use some TLC and refinishing, especially where my dog from years ago had a table leg fitish as shows in the pixs. This table can be valued far more than I have it listed for. Like I mentioned, I have never been able to find one of the same style before. The carved would is so equisit and the seats seem to be a crushed velvet. This listing is for the beautiful antique Victorian golden oak sidebar/buffet/china cabinet one piece unit with 7 drawer s that I have pictured for you. We have used it in our home for many years as an entertainment center and bookshelves/doll display area. The drawers have been used to store DVDs. VHS tapes, books, DVD player, as well as other things. The unit is 79 inches wide at the top. The end panels extend out from the wall 17 inches. The shelf where the TV is placed is 23 inches wide and it bows out in the center(pictured for you) The TV pic tur ed is a 32 inch flat screen and allows for the opening of both bookcase doors. There are 4 applied trim pieces formed of plaster along the top of the unit and I have pictured each one for you so you can see where there is damage to 3 of them. The pulls on the drawers are original to the piece ... moreas are the two latches to the doors of the bookcases. The bookcase doors are each 50" high by 16 1/2" wide. Both bookcase doors have the original wavy glass. The back of both bookcase sections is wains cote oak as is the inside piece of each bookcase. kAs pictured. There are two shelves in each bookcase; there are two additional shelves stored in the bottom center drawer of the unit. Dimensions of the drawers follows: two are 11" by 17" three are 24 1/2" by 17" and two are 16 1/2" by 13 1/4" The bevel edge mirror is in an area 24 1/2" wide. There are small holes drilled at the back of this area to allow the wiring for the TV and the DVD player and the USB cord for the TV to be brought in from the backside. The center section shelf extends outward from the base display case 5 inches at each sides and approximately 7 inches in the center(due to the bowed design) The piece is very heavy and will require 2 men to remove it from our residence after the drawers and glass doors are removed from the unit. Antique Vintage Maple Drop Leaf Dining Table.
Pick up only. Much to heavy and large to ship. Antique maple wood drop leaf dining table. The wood is very pretty. There is a leg underneath the table that swings out on both sides to make this a very large table. The table does show some wear and is not new or perfect but is very usable the way it is. On top of the table on one side a small area of the wood seems to be a little seperated. Not bad at all in my opinion, but I wanted to mention. I prefer cash at the time of pickup but will accept paypal too.

Antique dining table. Red oak. Table doesn't have leafs but it can take them if some are made for it. When we got it it was painted bright blue with another layer of white buttermilk paint underneath which preserved the wood. It was made by Watertown Table Elite Co. Made sometime between 6-13-1899 to 10-1-1912. Made in Watertown Wisconsin. We had it stripped and restrained. We had a glass top made for it to make it level as one leaf sags just a hair.
