This is a really pretty dining set in need of Some TLC. The table has a burlwood top that is stained scratched and chipped in molding trim and legs but has the potential to be a fabulous set. The table is 84" long X 41" across. The leaf is 18" so the table is 66" wihtout the leaf. The mechanics of the table as well as the chairs is in good condition. The chairs are very sturdy and very comfortable. The cane backs are intact and the forms are not broken. The wood needs stain or paint. They have wear spots in the coloring but would look great if they were painted or newly stained. The padded seats are also intact with a plain cotton cover waiting for your choice of fabric. You are looking at a stunning. Rare antique solid oak with Burl Walnut Jacobean refectory/dining table and chairs. The table is pre 1879 and is from England. It has Barley twist legs and self-enclosed leaves/extenders. It is in excellent condition. The chairs have only been recovered. But the finish is original to our knowledge(we've owned these pieces for over 40 years) Extending boards are in perfect working order. The table measures 40" wide and just under 64" long. Each extender is 28" long. Making this table a generous and spacious 120" 10 ft. long when extended! The chairs are 2 different designs. 3 of each design. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. Double pedestal table with leaf. 6 chairs. 2 arm(not pictured) and 4 regular dining chairs as pictured. China Cabinent is in stellar condition. Hutch is large and deep and. A few scratches on one side and one on one of the drawers has a gouged area. Table and chairs are not as sturdy as the other 2 pieces but dont need work for usage now. I have had and used for 20 yrs. Apartment livin now and no room. As you see. The hutch can be used as a tv stand or dresser. Is deep. All nicely finished. A few dog scratches in the dining hairs. This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. Antique Hoosier Style Expandable Dining Table with 4 Chairs- Needs Restoration
For sale I have this antique Hoosier style dining room set from the early 1900s. It has been passed down through the family many times but now in storage. Overall it's in good restorable condition. With lovely decorative painted color accents, all in a medium brown finish. It does have a few condition issues but could immediately be used if desired. It measures approximately 51 inches long on top by 35 in. across. It however when all wood leafs are in place be expanded to 73 inches in length. The finish is flaking away in places but the design work remains. All the screws in the table could use tightening and it does have a few cracks here and there but as as I said before it is usable. It is missing one of the wood support decorations. One of the chairs has tape on it and a crack on it and is a little rickety. I believe it is made of ... moreoak? I have left it the table untouched and ready for restoration. This is definite worthwhile project to use everyday, or could even be painted to create a one of a kind work of art! This one-of-a-kind set of a gorgeous mahogany dining table and 8 chairs that my great-grandfather had commissioned in the early 1930's. The table stands on 2 pedestals. Each with w/3 brass clawed feet. With the help of 2 leaves(included) the table expands to 12 feet in length! It is in EXCELLENT condition. The chairs are as follows: There are 8 chairs total. 6 regular and 2 for the head/foot of the table and they have arms. They are 100% hand made from the strongest mahogany, I've been sitting on these chairs for as long as I can remember(about 35 years) and they don't even creak! Notice the intricate carving on the tops of all the chair backs, it's unbelievable! This set should not be passed on. The actual date of the furniture is believed to be 1920's- 1930's. The current owners state that this was originally purchased from a very rich family in Cincinnati. OH. The table is 30" high. 34" wide, and 58" long without the leaves extended. It has 2 end self-storing leaves- each leaf being 19" Hence, with one leaf extended is ... more7" and with both extended is 96" or 8 feet long. The four side chairs are 16-1/2" wide and 16-1/2" deep. While the two larger end chairs are 22-1/4" wide by 18-1/2" deep. All have upholstered seats. The server/buffet is 33" high. 37" long and 18" deep. It contains storage compartments. The glass fronted china cabinet is 57-1/2' high. 37" wide, and 15" deep. Below the display area is a storage drawer for tablecloths, etc. The chairs and table have"787" and Russmore stamped.assume this is the model number and pattern name. The set was manufactured by the Grand Rapids Chair company of Grand Rapids. Michigan. That company was founded in 1872 and primarily produced chairs until 1880. Antique DINING ROOM SET - Table & 6 Needle Point Chairs - Nice! (Local Pick Up)
BEAUTIFUL Duncan Phyfe Style Antique dining room table& 6 needle point chairs- Overall Good Condition. 40" wide X 60" long- comes with 12" leaf that stores under table(making it 72" long) Table has 1 scratch that indents slightly into the wood(see photo) And a few surface scratches that are hardly noticeable. don't show up in photos) All chairs are cloth/embroidery covered(original) 2 maroon. 2 beige, 2 blue- 1 of the chairs is a Captain's chair- the back on the captain's chair is cracked- but doesn't show crack from the front. One of the side chairs has crack in back. See photos of back/front of both chairs) Neither of those cracks seem to affect performance of the chairs. Other four chairs are in excellent condition. It has two extra leaves which can be added and removed as required. The seats have been recently upholstered in Vintage Romantic Florals of red. Cottage greens, on a white ground, and is in excellent condition without any wear, stains, or other conditions. The added heart shaped back pads were done in easy breeze faux suede for easy cleaning. The round table has a center"basket" to hold flowers or your chic decor and will accomodate an umbrella. The 4 chairs are a delightful fan shape and I had them decorated in ribbons and bows over the holidays. oh so victorian and chic! Antique Early 1900's Empire Tiger Oak Kitchen Dining Room Table & 4 Lion Chairs
Click Here. Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery- Now FREE! Up for auction is a BEAUTIFUL. Fresh from the refinisher, tiger oak Empire Dining Room table and four lion face chairs. This is is so beautiful in the Empire style. The large column center post ends in four beautiful curled legs in a square base format. The top is SO nice! This is a 42" round but has two leaves to expand to 66" for dining. Although this was someone's fine dining table in the early 1900's. This also makes an elegant kitchen table, or game table! It is small enough for 2-4 people to sit around nicely but with the leaves you can add up to six people, maybe more. So versatile! Great for a lake cottage or NY city apartment. The finish is just wonderful. This is not a patch job. I see no damage to the table at all and the original sliding hardware ... morelocks tightly with a wood handled latch. The chairs were originally cained but someone has simply added a wood cut seat to each eliminating that whole broken cane issue. These are very sturdy and are marked Wiffmer MIlling& Mfg Co. PA. Signed by the woodworker. Chairs are gorgeous with lion faces on the backs of each! One thing to note is that the leaves are not original to the table. They are cut to size and refinished to match closely(slightly darker due to being from another table) but they are not exact. They match very well. They have dowels to lock into the circle shape. Lastly. The table has for nice wheels on the bottom that are removable but they allow your to roll the table wherever you want it. This table measures 42" round and extends to 66" with two leaves. It is 30" tall. The chairs are 39" tall x 20" wide x 19" deep. This is such an easy set to move around. The top come off and the base will fit through any door. You can transport this in an SUV. Beautiful Antique Queen Anne Dining Room Table with 6 Chairs. Great condition. Table is pick up only and is located in Rosedale. Mississippi. I am selling this for my mother who purchased this table and chairs nearly 40 years ago from and antique dealer. She thinks it is from the late 1800s but not sure. One chair needs to be tightened but other than that the table and chairs are in great condition. I will do my best to answer any questions. Thank you for your interest!
