This vintage chifforobe is a closet. Wardrobe, armoire all in one and is early 1900's bedroom furniture, as is evidenced by the mushroom drawer pulls, the sideways clothes hanging closet and brass Yale drawer lock. It is solid wood and uses half-blind dove tail joints. Measurements: Overall: 37 inches wide. 20 inches deep and 56 ¾ inches high. Knobs: 1 1/8 inches deep/ Drawers: 18 inches wide. 9 ¾ inches high-all except top drawer which is 6 ¾ inches high. Door: 15 ¾ inches wide and the inside is 19 inches deep and 15 ½ inches wide. Note that along the inside closet by the door hinges are cracks in the wood and the exterior has wear marks. Which can be seen in the photos. I don’t have a key for the lock. Thanks for looking. Set of 6 wooden hangers from an antique wardrobe trunk from the early 1900's. They are in need of some TLC. But will be great for anyone restoring an old trunk! The first picture shows the whole lot. The others include close ups of the wood hangers. Showing their condition. They all measure around 18" wide& 8" top to bottom. Some of them have a little damage on each side as shown it the photos. Here we go there is so much to say about this vintage Wheary Cushion Top Wardrobe which is fully fitted with key and in amazing condition for its age. The trunk is a dark green with beautiful hardware. I have included lots of photos so you can fully appreciate. It stands approx. 42" tall and 22" wide and 10" deep on each side. It has 5 drawers(1) 4" cushioned with side pockets. 3) 7" lined in Wheary fabric with ties and a large bottom drawer line in Wheary fabric that is 12" The fabric color is a light pink in the classic Wheary design with W's. The wardrobe side is lined in fabric with a fabric curtain that snaps back and has the original hangers and pant hangers. There is also a secret compartment on the bottom of the wardrobe. Antique wardrobe/armoire. I have owned this since the 1970's purchased from an antique dealer. Was told it is turn of the century. Knockdown type. Pictures really show the condition. Please be sure to use the"mouse over" function to evaluate the condition. It is solid, but you can see the bracing that was applied to the back and the hanging rod that was also added. Size: 79" Tall 17 1/2" deep 48 1/2" wide. It is a good base for a restoration. NOTE: If buyer is interested in arranging crating and shipping after purchase. Vintage Cedar wardrobe closet armoire, Lakeside Craft Shops, Sheboygan, Wis.
THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY A pre-owned cedar wardrobe tagged inside with a metallic label from Lakeside Craft Shops. Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It measures 35" wide x 75" tall x 25" deep. It is easily be taken apart for moving and I have done that more than a few times. I used it as a closet. A computer stand and for storing out-of-season bedding. It has been painted the color it is now which is Colonial Pear. When I used it as a computer stand, holes were drilled into the back to accommodate wiring. It would make a nice TV stand. The condition is mostly very good except that when breaking it down this last time, the floor of the closet spit along the grain lines in two places. It still fits together tightly because of the way it split. The door needs a catch. It has served me well over the years since I purchased it at Goodwill ... moremany years ago. Untitled Document RARE Vintage Blue with Yellow Stripe Wardrobe Steamer Trunk For auction. A truly stunning piece. This vintage trunk is unlike any we have ever seen! Deep royal blue with a striking yellow stripe and black leather accents. The interior is a pale green with white accents, a very stunning pattern by itself. Includes 5 drawers, 2 types of wooden hangers which are on an extendable rod, and a travel case. The top of the wardrobe opens for ease of access. The side says"Kenworthy, Glenside, PA. It measures 42" length x 22" width x 23" height. It weighs approximately 85lbs. It opens as you see in the pictures and when fully open measures 45" across. As far as condition issues. I have photographed what I have seen. Two of the rollerballs on the bottom have pushed through but still work and do not affect its ... moreability to stand upright. There is also another tear on the bottom(see picture) The bottom drawers metal accent has come loose, but could be fixed. There are a few tears on the bottom drawer and some age stains throughout the trunk(see pictures) There is no key for the lock however it does close, but must be reopened with a screwdriver. I'm sure it could be repaired at a locksmith if need be. That said. This piece is absolutely one of a kind. The colors, design, and uniqueness cannot be matched. Extremely Cool Old Wardrobe Steamer Trunk
Mandel Bros Wardrobe Steamer Trunk 1930’s( Chicago History or Your Future Equipment Case One side of this cool trunk flips up and has metal arms which extend to get at hanging clothes. The original wood hangers are still present. The other side has four pull-out drawers. Dimensions are roughly 22’ x 22” x 41’ I’d guess the weight at 80-90 lbs. Obviously this was designed as a travelling closet and was built to take a beating. Mandel Bros was one of the leading Chicago department stores from the mid-1800’s to the 1970’s. The trunk shows the expected scuffs and dings but is structurally solid. The vintage wear just adds to its rustic charm. The exterior is black. Though it looks lighter in some of the pictures. The lock has been popped and bent so is currently non-functional(and there is no key) but the trunk still securely latches shut. The ... moreinside and the drawers appear to have been recovered and/or painted. Several areas look stained but this is from the glue under the fabric. The drawer handle doesn't look original.
