This oversized piece is extremely high quality, and remains in great condition. This piece features a full-length bevel glass mirror in the center door. Three hand-cut dovetail drawers on the bottom of the piece, and triple door access. This piece also has a beautiful cross-grain mahogany veneer with burl panel highlights. The bronze finished brass ormolu embellishment is completely intact. And the crest is crown molded with a brass cut out center. The two outside serpentine doors retain their original brass Victorian style hardware and mirror the two outside doors. Which are also in the serpentine fashion. Antique. Walnut, wardrobe. Beautiful piece. It is all walnut wood so it's quite heavy. Dated mid to late 1800's. it was in my grandparents living room for as long as I can remember. With overall dimensions of only 62 inches tall by 30 inches wide and 18 inches deep, front to back. In addition to the gorgeous burl walnut veneer on all sides but the back, the fabulous hand carved handles really make this wardrobe special. I do have a key for the lock on the door which will be included though I never vouch for a long lifetime on an already old lock set. This wonderful piece is in very nice condition inside and out with a top large shelf across the inside 28 inch width and measures 15 1/2 inches deep with 8 1/2 inches clearance above. Here is a fine very late 19th century mostly solid walnut and very tall at 8 and 1/2 feet bookcase. I love the simple architectural features of the carved arches over each glass door which combines the look of solid walnut and It would be fantastic in a library setting or even as a display cabinet as working locksets are being replaced as I write this so both doors will easily lock. It is perfect for the room a the top of a narrow stairwell as it dismantles and sets up very easily. The base with the two drawers is the first level to set up. This base section retains the original porcelain castors. Each of the side panels is screwed to a rear panel. It is easiest to handle these steps like this. Add one side and then the other. Then the center piece for the shelves slips in. Add the shelves and the front center piece to Which each of the doors ... morewill lock. Add the crown and then it is time to hang the doors. The left door top hinge has been moved to a lower point on the door at some point. This is shown close up in the photos. A Queen Anne Style Bur Walnut Single Door Wardrobe A Queen Anne Style Bur Walnut Single Door Wardrobe. An Edwardian Queen Anne style bur walnut single door wardrobe raised on squat cabriole supports. The wardrobe is formed with a full-length central door; around the outside of the whole wardrobe it has mahogany banding. The grain of the wood on the wardrobe is excellent. With various bur sections on it. Opening the door of the wardrobe it has a full length-dressing mirror on the inside. The inside is set with a shelf, various cloths hooks and a shoe rack in the base. The wardrobe dates to around 1910-20. The wardrobe would spit into section if needed. Size Height 75.5” Width 49.5” Depth 19.5” Condition The condition of the wardrobe is excellent with light scratches and marks all commensurate to age. C. 1800'S ANTIQUE SALESMANS SAMPLE WALNUT DOLL ARMOIRE WARDROBE JEWELRY CABINET
Fresh out of a local estate is this very early 1800's walnut miniature armoire. I believe this to be either a salesmans sample or doll armoire. It was used by the previous owner as a jewelry box/ cabinet and hung on the wall. The construction is as you would expect a full size piece to be made.tongue and groove etc. The piece has panel doors and sits on four bun feet. The interior has shelves and two drawers. At some point the interior was painted. I do not have a key for the original lock that is present. There is hardware attached to the back for hanging. The condition is very good with no chips. Cracks or damage. A few light scratches from handling over the years. The armoire measures 25" tall 15 3/4" wide and 10 1/4" deep and weighs almost 15 pounds. Sold without a reserve.
