Beautiful Fine furniture Wardrobe armoire 1954 Walnut Veneer Fronts Sides
Beautiful veneer front wardrobe armoire maker is Fine furniture stamped 1954. Dimensions are 73" height x 48 1/4" width x 20 3/4" depth approximate weight 125-150 pounds. All veneer on front is intact with a great glossy finish. Doors do lock and comes with key. Very small imperfections. On the top left of the piece looks like a piece of veneer is gone but it's at the very top and can easily be colored. Minimal small scratches one being on front but again can be covered. All in all this is a gorgeous piece. Shipping will have to be freight arranged by buyer. I will help all I can. I do have a packing store who can pack an box at buyers expense. There is a faded bit of about a square foot at the bottom half of the left door. It doesn't show very well in pictures. But I'm happy to supply more images. Beauiful Mid-1800's Walnut Wardrobe
This antique walnut wardrobe is beautiful and versatile. The front and sides of the wardrobe and doors are solid 7/8” walnut(not veneer) It has square nails and a smooth 8“ crease on its right side(saw mark? visible in direct light. There are 2 matched grain. Arched pattern doors that open from the center. The right door is secured to the bottom of the wardrobe by an inside wood clasp. The left door has what appears to be an original lock, but no key. When closed there is a 1/8"3/8" vertical gap between the front of one door and the back of the other door. There is one bottom dovetailed drawer with original, chipped round knobs. The interior, is painted pale blue, has cord openings, and 3 glass shelves to hold a tv, china, and other treasures. This beautiful Victorian walnut Armoire. Has been in my family since 1910. It was purchased by my grandfather, at an estate sale in Philadelphia. All the items in this estate dated from the 1870's. Antique Armoire / Wardrobe - Solid Walnut - VGC
Buyer will have to pick up personally in Williamsburg. VA because of bulk and weight. Measures 7'4" x 5'6" x 2' Solid walnut antique armoire. Currently configured with shelves but was originally used for hanging clothes. Includes two large drawers at bottom of piece. I have the swinging-arm walnut peg brackets that I assume were the original clothes hangers. All panels are solid walnut. I treated the armoire originally with tung oil for a soft patina. A two-foot section of crown molding on right top end came off during moving and needs to be reattached. Otherwise. The piece is solid and in very good condition. I love this Walnut Wardrobe! 7' 1" tall and 4' 5" tall. 21 1/2" deep( 19 1/2" inside depth) Solid panels throughout. Square nails and shamfered panels on doors and on side walls. It is Scottish and is dated circa 1870. The primary wood is walnut with burl-walnut decorative elements on the doors. The mirrors are hand-beveled as well as the glass medallions in the side doors. Each drawer is 6-1/2 inches high. 18 inches wide and 15-1/2 inches deep. They have machined dovetailed drawer fronts and nailed backs. They are as found with some minor nicks and dents on the surface and one drawer shows more wear to the bottom of the sides, used more. Each drawer is drilled for 3 inch center hardware. The grained finish is worn but original. There are no major cracks or bows and they both need a good cleaning. The left hand door features two latches, which keep the door closed whilst the right hand door is open. Inside the wardrobe are four-quarter circle internal shelves to the right.
