This is a beautiful Walnut Armoire. Louis XV era, circa 1800-1899. It has a single beveled mirror door and has intricate carving on the top and on the bottom drawer. The inside has 5 shelfs measuring 3' x 13" and an inside lockable drawer measuring 27 1/2" x 19 1/2" 4" deep. The inside of the armoire is lined with birdseye maple. The armoire measures 95" to the top of the filigree. And is 40" wide. The beveled mirror measures 25 7/8" wide and is 57 5/8" high. The door is also lockable. Below the door/mirror is another drawer measuring 31 3/4" x 14" x 3 5/8" deep. It is in excellent original condition. It comes apart in 4 sections for easy shipping. A beautiful addition to anyones antique collection.

Up for sale is a turn of the century American made antique armoire/ wardrobe. Armoire is in pretty good overall condition and can be used the way it is. Needs a little refurbishment to be in perfect shape. Everything is missing from the inside except the lock. Which is missing the key. There are places where pieces of the veneer has come off. Armoire was originally built using tongue and groove and the back was held on with wood dowels. The dowels are missing and the back has been nailed on. The hinges have been replaced. 19th Century Burled Walnut 3 Piece Armoire/Wardrobe (English)
This Ar-moire is in beautiful condition and has been passed down to me with the following info. The items actual date of manufacture is unknown. But has been stated as being 1890-1899. Material used for construction has been stated to be Burl Walnut. Item was originally purchased at an estate sale in Beverly Hills, CA. Weight of item has been stated to be in excess of 300 lbs. but never actually taken. Item is stated as being 100% original in hardware and materials used. Now for what we know for sure. This Ar moire is very large! Measures 76" tall(from bottom of legs to tallest point. Center) with 72 1/2" across(from left to right edge, center) and a depth of 19 1/2" Diagonally(from bottom left corner, across face, to top right corner) it measures 102" The wardrobe is sectioned into three pieces. The left two thirds share ... moretheir interior space and have a beautiful brass closet style rod spanning its length, with original brass hangers and hooks.The right most third of this wardrobe is partitioned, and has three adjustable shelves and an original glass mirror(48x14x1/4) mounted on inside of door. Above the mirror is one of the items two manufacturers stamps, MADE IN THE CITY OF BATH, ENGLAND(as pictured) The other is hand stamped on rear of door latches, and is a very clear"C& A" The construction is absolutely flawless and has absolutely no issues inside and out. The WARDROBE is in good overall used condition and are ready to place in the setting of your choice. It is a very ornate piece and has a lovely French feel. The front outer edging has an ebonised finish which contrast nicely with the walnut and highlights the fancy gilt mounts, It has a carved pediment at the top above a pair of panel doors which have walnut veneered and elaborate inlaid decoration. Each door has a vase of flowers inlaid in the centre, they also have ornate gilt metal handles and the wardrobe comes with lock& key in working order, It has a mahogany lined interior which is very clean& ... moretidy. There is a single internal shelf and 2 hanging rails which run from left to right, it also has a mirror to the reverse of the R H door, The Wardrobe splits in 2 large sections for ease when transporting. Sturdy& 100% free from woodworm, it has 1 nick to the veneer on both back corners, it also has a couple of slight indentations to the ebonised detail on the front L H side and one very faint scratch, the rest of the woodwork is in good used condition which is commensurate with a Vintage used item. Like new excellent condition 2007 Louis Shanks Armoire! Drexel Heritage walnut model. Dimensions: 80 5/8" tall x 45" wide x 23" deep Removable foot pegs are an additional 4 1/8" tall Armoire is 85" tall with foot pegs. There are two removable shelves. A clothes bar, as well as 6 shelves. 4 shelves are inside the French doors. 2 shelves are visible when doors are closed. Doors are double hinged to allow them to fold all the way back. My wife and I recently moved into a house with low ceilings and it simply is not practical for us to keep. It is in great shape and we wouldn't be selling it if we had higher ceilings.
