Including some small chips to the veneer, surface scratches, and wear to the wood and other signs of age as pictured below. The back to the interior middle section is missing, as well as the lock to one of the drawers. The shelves are not original, as can be seen, and are a later addition. Stunning Vintage Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl Embellished Wardrobe
Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl 1920's Wardrobe I am selling my Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl 1920's Korean Wardrobe. As you can see from the photos even after 94 years the finish is near mirror like. The interior is Red Lacquer With brass. This is a very large wardrobe Measuring 6' 6" wide by 2' 1" deep by 6' 5" tall. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble and requires no tools. It breaks down to 5 pieces. It is all held together by blocks and wood pegs and is really cool. The top and bottom piece run the full length of the wardrobe and on the base you place the right cabinet(27" wide) Center cabinet(46" wide) and left cabinet(27" wide) then put the top on which drops onto the pegs on the left and right cabinets and holds it all together. It is Beautiful to look at and is a conversation ... morepiece. It dates by pattern to Korea in the 1920's. The outer cabinets are single door and the center cabinet has double doors. All the doors have ornate brass locks which I have keys for. It is covered, floor to ceiling in tons of mother of pearl, and all of the mother of pearl in intact. There is some damage to it but mainly in the corners. I have tried to take pictures of the damage. The photos really do not do it justice. it just explodes into thousands of shimmering lights when the light hits it. I had to turn off the flash for most of the pictures. A very nice piece of travel history. A 1925 Belber steamer trunk with original drawers and wood hangers. The stickers are original to the period Cunard and some have the Queen Mary on them with an original Queen Mary pennant included. The size is 41" high by 21 1/4"x 20 1/2" There are a few nicks and minor dings. There is no key. A rare and beautiful looking trunk. You'll have a hard time finding another one in this condition. Item is a Wheary Cushioned Top Wardrobe Trunk. Trunk is approximately 23” deep x 23” tall x 41” long. Trunk opens in half. As shown in pictures. The right half has 4 drawers on the inside, and the left half when opened has a hanging rack for clothes. Top also is cushioned and pivots up and out the way. It has a small drawer on the bottom for additional storage. Trunk is in very good condition, with the exception of the latch receptacle which is missing. The female receptacle is missing, which can be found on EBay. The inside of the trunk is in good condition for the age. Leather strap/handle on one end(as shown in pictures) is in good shape. Brass hardware and corner pieces are in great condition. Trunk would be a nice addition for the collector and would take very little work to replace latch. Now offering, Circa 1920s Antique Belber Traveling Goods wardrobe steamer trunk/dresser. It still has the original hangers. All the drawers and original pulls, a special shoebox insert in the bottom drawer(which has the only damage to report which is detailed in our last picture) the original laundry/garment drawstring bag(almost impossible to find these days) it also has two drawer dividers in the very top drawer, the original Belber instruction manual, also included is the lock down metal mechanism for the left side of the chest, but no key. It is clearly marked Belber and the outside is in very good condition. It does have some dings and scratches that are consistent with its"worldly travels" There is a metal plaque on it that states patent dates from Feb.13, 1907- Aug. 21, 1928. The leather carrying handle is intact and not ... morebroken. The original inspector tag still hangs from one pull. Vintage (1900-1950) Chifferobe Armoire Wardrobe
I've own this wardrobe for 30 years. It was given to me by a neighbor. I've used it for all kinds of storage: linens. Seasonal clothes, accessories, etc. It measures approx. 54" H x 39" W x 18.5" deep. Four drawers, a shelf, and a hanging rod that slides in and out. I tried to capture the exterior condition. I've never refinished it. It has some small issues on front and side bottom(see pics 5& 6) And the varnish"beads" in a few places. The top probably needs to be refinished, it has some marks. Structurally it's sound. My 13 yo told me when she was small, she played Narnia with it. The inside looks good. And to me it has a nice"peppery" smell. The drawers are dove-tailed. UPDATED INFO Vintage Antique "Chifforobe" Wardrobe Armoire Early 20th Century
This is an early 1900's antique"chifforobe" wardrobe) with 5 drawers and a small mirrored door on one side. And a full size wardrobe door on the other side. Behind the full size door is a place for hanging garments with an iron hanging rod. A couple of the drawers need some work but everything else functions normally. Beautiful wood grain with wear and tear that would be expected for age of furniture. Has been in continual use for 75 to 95 years! The inside of the chifforobe is somewhat more rustic than the exterior. One drawer bottom is quite interesting(see photo# 6)I don't know if this wooden crating material was a replacement or if it originally came that way. Either way. It's been like that for as long as I can remember, and I'm 57 years old. Truly. This item would make a great display piece for an antique clothing ... moreboutique or for great storage for at home! Dimensions: approximately. 45" in width. 63" in height, and 22.35 in depth. A little bit of history: My grandparents were married in 1919. This chifforobe very likely dates from the very beginning of their marriage. If not. They certainly acquired it sometime soon thereafter. It was a fixture in their home for decades. And my widowed grandmother continued to use it throughout her adult life up until her death in the early 1990s. So this is truly an original vintage item with quite a bit of age on it.

A large wardrobe trunk made by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. Extremely solid. And equipped with casters and great oak slats. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. This is complete. Fully functional, and in excellent vintage condition. It comes with the original key. This rare American trunk was beautifully made in the same style of the famous expensive ones.
