Vintage Oak Chifferobe Wardrobe with mirror Pick up in Virginia
This is an old oak chifferobe or wardrobe. Condition is very good with a nick. A veneer chip or scratch here and there but nothing bad, all minor. Beveled mirror has varnish around the edge but will scrape off easy, I tried it. I didn't scrape off because I'm selling for someone else. The original hanger rod is still in place or has oak shelves that lift out. No door key. Must pick up near Roanoke Virginia.

Antique 1890- 1900 oak wardrobe. With two doors and two drawers. in good as found condition, at no reserve. There are two imperfections on middle and bottom left door that look like they were knots in the wood. Left door very slightly warped- door does close, right side has seven wood pegs added plus two wood pegs broken off, brass lock cover is loose- I do have the original brass lock cover, nice original finish. The wardrobe is all oak wood. Has two doors, two dovetailed drawers, all brass hardware present, comes with key and working lock, and very sturdy. The wardrobe is 76 1/2" high, 42" wide, 15 1/2" deep. It is 46" wide at molding. Please look at pictures carefully and email with questions. This is a pick up only item. Thank you for looking. antique English dark oak art nouveau ARMOIRE ~ wardrobe ~ CLOSET with mirror Greater Chicagoland-area local pick up/delivery only(Saint Charles. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still

Up for sale is a turn of the century American made antique armoire/ wardrobe. Armoire is in pretty good overall condition and can be used the way it is. Needs a little refurbishment to be in perfect shape. Everything is missing from the inside except the lock. Which is missing the key. There are places where pieces of the veneer has come off. Armoire was originally built using tongue and groove and the back was held on with wood dowels. The dowels are missing and the back has been nailed on. The hinges have been replaced. Double door Tiger Oak vintage wardrobe. Wardrobe has inside mirror and shelf on right side as you are facing the wardrobe. Overall measurements(approximate) are 73" tall at center of wardrobe. 21 1/2" deep and 48" wide. The inside measurements are 63" tall and 20 1/4" deep. The shelf is approx. 9" below the inside top of the wardrobe. The rods for hanging clothes and the hardware are original. The mirror measures 12" x 23 1/2" This is a nice piece of furniture and has no deep scratches and there are no cracks in the wood. The wardrobe has a shoe box to the bottom which is enclosed with a drop down door complete with working lock and key. To the inside there is a new single shelf fitted with a telescopic hanging rail below it. This is enclosed with a mirror door complete with working lock and key. The glass in this door is good but does have some smearing and foxing around it's edges which can be seen in the photo. To the top there is a panel of marquetry inlay depicting a nautical scene. This is all complimented with a stylized cornice with decorative brackets. For sale is this beautiful 1950s Oak Wardrobe/ Armoire with stunning Art Deco details/carvings. For sale on a buy it now or best offer basis is this well-preserved. Excellent quality and very beautiful double wardrobe/ armoire in oak and oak veneer. The front of the wardrobe has really gorgeous vintage details including dramatic cylindrical columns and ornate carved floral decorations. The lock works and the original key and cast doorhandles are present. The wardrobe is split 60/ 40 between hanging and shelving. The hanging rail is front-to-back and there are four shelves to the right. I had intended on swapping the haning rail to a side-to-side one to give more haning room and make the most of the large internal space of this piece. This really is even more impressive in the flesh than the pics do justice to. An antique Arts& Crafts style solid oak Hall Wardrobe of American origin. We are pleased to present this antique Hall Wardrobe for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood. And is of American origin with an Arts& Crafts or Mission style look. Unusual for an American piece, it has a mechanism for disassembly to simplify the task of moving it from one place to another. A single door is found on the front, and hooks(not original to the piece) are found on the back, near the top, for hanging garments. Limited depth on the inside is not sufficient for a hanger to fit front-to-back. So this piece is better suited for use as a Hall Wardrobe, rather than a full armoire. Other possibilities, with the addition of shelves, would be use as a Bookcase, Spice Cabinet, or Kitchen Pantry. The outside measurements are 69 inches high. 33-1/2 ... moreinches wide, and 15-1/2 inches deep. There are four(4) pieces of sliding wood locks on the inside. When slid towards the front and removed, they allow the top and bottom to be removed for transport(see three close up pictures to get an idea of how the mechanism works) On the inside. Measurements are 63 inches high, 28-1/2 inches wide, and 12-3/4 inches deep of usable space. Five(5) sturdy hooks are available at the top for hanging jackets, hats, or similar items. The Hall Wardrobe is in great shape. The finish on the outside looks fresh with minimal wear. There are a few water stains on the interior. But the wood is solid. The hinges on the front door have a heavy patina from age, but are quiet and in good mechanical condition. We rate the overall condition as very good. This is a charming Arts& Crafts style piece that would make a great Hall Wardrobe. With the addition of some shelves.
