Up for sale is a antique wardrobe. Made by Nicholls and Janes of High Wycombe they were furniture makers from 1869-1970. There is a web page set up for the company. The wardrobe is a knockdown type. It has a top, bottom, and the 2 side join together then screws are used to hold it tight. The wardrobe is 75inches tall,48inches wide,21inches deep. It has been sitting for some years. It has 2 holes drilled in the back of it. One large chip of wood on the right rear corner. Some cracking and stain is coming off. I will be listing this item plus other oak piece from a local estate. Here is an absolutely gorgeous quartersawn oak carved wardrobe with finials. Much like the style of Eastlake, purchased through the estate auction of an old Charleston family member, so I'm not sure if it is American made or perhaps English. It is certainly late 19th century to early 20th century solid oak(primary and secondary) with lovely carvings and dentition across the top, a large clear beveled dressing mirror, dovetailed drawers, original old hardware and an incredible amount of storage space within a solid wood cabinet that's made to travel in separate smaller components(base, closet, bonnet) so it could be easily maneuvered through the traditionally smaller hallways and stairwells of those now antique homes. This wonderful large functional wardrobe stands 87 inches tall by 53 inches wide by 21 inches front to back. Offering ... morean amazing amount of storage in a gorgeous quartersawn oak cabinet. This terrific Victorian wardrobe has 3 large sliding shelves and 3 nice deep drawers on one side with open closet space on the opposing side, still equipped with cloak hooks affixed to the walls as well as a hanging rod across it's width, added later. If the new owner desired, the open cabinet space for hanging clothes can of course be easily converted into any type storage you may need with the variety of storage system unit options available in most retail stores. Very Nice Matching Quarter Sawn Oak Dresser and Wardrobe
I am not sure of the age but would guess very early 1900s. The manufacturer's tag inside the wardrobe says the company was established in 1890. I am also not sure if this American as it has some looks of English. It is quarter sawn oak. Has the original mirrors and pulls. I bought this set from my brother in Dallas 15 years ago and he bought it from a dealer in Oklahoma City 20 years prior to that. Wardrobe measures 75"h x 46"w x 17 1/2"deep. Dresser measures 32"h to top of dresser x 38 1/2"w x 17 1/2" deep. From floor to top of mirror is 60"h.

People will love it! The two sides need the work. At the bottom(see Pictures) Shoot not be a too big of a project it you are handy. The sIde that faces the wall. I have the horizontals were the wood goes in, not the vertical wood, but that would be a cheap replacement. Shipping depends on the miles. Antique wardrobe/armoire. I have owned this since the 1970's purchased from an antique dealer. Was told it is turn of the century. Knockdown type. Pictures really show the condition. Please be sure to use the"mouse over" function to evaluate the condition. It is solid, but you can see the bracing that was applied to the back and the hanging rod that was also added. Size: 79" Tall 17 1/2" deep 48 1/2" wide. It is a good base for a restoration. NOTE: If buyer is interested in arranging crating and shipping after purchase. I am pleased to offer for sale a wonderful 19th century Victorian Oak Wardrobe grand and delicious to the eye. The Wardrobe measures 93 inches high. 24 inches deep and 60 inches wide. It is in excellent condition and very rich looking. The wardrobe is in oak and the secondary woods are birdseye maple and tulip wood. It has wonderful applied carvings and other hand detailed carvings. The wardrobe has two drawers at the bottom and a shelf inside and a large shelf on top for storage. This large antique English Country oak armoire. Manufactured during the early 1900's and recently imported from the UK, offers lovely organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This large early 20th century wardrobe offers two hanging closets, each with a hanging bar and one has a 10 inch deep campaign drawer in the bottom for storing shoes or boots and a full size beveled dressing mirror on the central closet door; three large blind pull out tray shelves, behind that door along with a dresser with three large drawers. The inside of all the closets and shelving is lined in a yellow fabric which is overall clean and in good condition for it's age, adding a finished touch. The design of the piece includes an interesting construction technique that highlights the quartersawn oak wood and decorative metal hardware. This is a high ... morequality piece with dovetailed drawers and brass drawer pulls and I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, condition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. This large wardrobe stands 86 inches long by 80 inches tall and 26 1/2 inches deep. Front to back. The two side closets are each 25 inches wide by 20 inches front to back by 73 inches tall. In the left side facing closet there is 68 inches clearance below the hanging bar. In the right side facing closet there is a 10 inch deep campaign drawer, leaving 58 inches clearance to the floor below the hanging bar. This large piece could of course be easily fitted with one of the many more modern storage systems available to maximize it's internal space. The 3 large drawers in the lower bottom section of the center closet are each 24 inches wide by 18 inches front to back and gradually increase in depth. This is a really nice single door quarter sawn oak wardrobe. Very nice cabinet with applied carving. Paneled door with shaped and beveled mirror. Note the serpentine drawer in the base with fancy front legs. Paneled sides and a fluted column on either side of the door. Very sturdy construction-this was a'knockdown' style-piece has been professionally refinished and has a smooth and even finish. There are currently shelves on the interior although they could simple be lifted out and removed if so desired. Overall size of the wardrobe is 38 wide, 83 high, and 22 deep. The wardrobe comes with three doors, which are all picture frame molded and shows an unbelievable display of high quality quarter sawn oak. It comes with its own key, but the locks usually need to be adjusted and cleaned so unfortunately we are unable to guarantee locks. The best thing about this wardrobe is its size. It is 64 inches wide on the inside, 23 inches deep and 70 inches high. It has a hanging rod on the top as well as a place where you could put shelves if you so desire. This gorgeous wardrobe has plenty of space and an added bonus to it is that it is extra deep. When you close it all up, it displays wonderful tiger sawn oak panels, and picture frame molded doors which are beautiful. The three drawers underneath are all dovetailed, picture frame molded and raised paneled. The sides, as you would expect them, are all raised panel, which is a sure sign of high quality, with each side having three large panels and two small panels. This wardrobe has a lovely block front, a crown molded top, a block front crown molded base and the center drawer in the base is double wide compared to the two outside drawers.
