Up for sale is a turn of the century American made antique armoire/ wardrobe. Armoire is in pretty good overall condition and can be used the way it is. Needs a little refurbishment to be in perfect shape. Everything is missing from the inside except the lock. Which is missing the key. There are places where pieces of the veneer has come off. Armoire was originally built using tongue and groove and the back was held on with wood dowels. The dowels are missing and the back has been nailed on. The hinges have been replaced. Most oak armoires are boring. Bulky pieces of furniture with little style or excitement. Here's one that will change your opinion. The beveled mirrors are in excellent condition as is the finish. Note the hooded gallery with reflective mirror as well as the mirrored door. The closet part as well as the drawer interiors are clean as a whistle. All of the applied carvings are there, no losses. The re-finisher decided not to take the time to polish the original hardware so he just used replacements, however, I do have all the originals(you can polish them) I've added pictures of the original hardware that was originally on the piece showing the detail. Please note, the pieces are still dark. I changed the setting on my camera to show all of the pieces and how they might look polished up. Amish Built Oak Computer Armoire
Amish built all wood Dimensions 72"H x 46"W x 22"D. Bi-fold doors. Fold down table(37"L x 16"W) 5 Adjustable shelves and 1 fixed shelf. Pull out shelf for printer and pull out shelf for keyboard. 2 Drawers(1 is a file drawer) Note: One repair had to be made when the fold down table came down unexpectedly(someone didn't latch it) without the legs extended. This caused it to crack the edge of the desk where the table joins the desk. The break is not visible from the top but 4 filled holes can be seen from the front when the table is up. Beautiful Dark Oak Armoire
This is a pre-owned 8 drawer tv armoire. Made of solid heavy oak wood- it is in great condition. All drawers are dovetail construction. The doors are double hinged to allow them to open flush to the sides. You can close them to conceal the inside or open them fully. There are electrical outlets making it easier to set up a tv with dvr and/or game boxes. There is also an adjustable shelf for the inside. The back has a wooden door that slides open or closed. Near perfect condition. It has a distressed but clean look. It has gorgeous hand carved details with gold leaf overlay. All drawers work perfectly- Very expensive furniture. HALL WARDROBE Antique American ARTS & CRAFTS / MISSION Armoire SOLID OAK WOOD
An antique Arts& Crafts style solid oak Hall Wardrobe of American origin. We are pleased to present this antique Hall Wardrobe for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood. And is of American origin with an Arts& Crafts or Mission style look. Unusual for an American piece, it has a mechanism for disassembly to simplify the task of moving it from one place to another. A single door is found on the front, and hooks(not original to the piece) are found on the back, near the top, for hanging garments. Limited depth on the inside is not sufficient for a hanger to fit front-to-back. So this piece is better suited for use as a Hall Wardrobe, rather than a full armoire. Other possibilities, with the addition of shelves, would be use as a Bookcase, Spice Cabinet, or Kitchen Pantry. The outside measurements are 69 inches high. 33-1/2 ... moreinches wide, and 15-1/2 inches deep. There are four(4) pieces of sliding wood locks on the inside. When slid towards the front and removed, they allow the top and bottom to be removed for transport(see three close up pictures to get an idea of how the mechanism works) On the inside. Measurements are 63 inches high, 28-1/2 inches wide, and 12-3/4 inches deep of usable space. Five(5) sturdy hooks are available at the top for hanging jackets, hats, or similar items. The Hall Wardrobe is in great shape. The finish on the outside looks fresh with minimal wear. There are a few water stains on the interior. But the wood is solid. The hinges on the front door have a heavy patina from age, but are quiet and in good mechanical condition. We rate the overall condition as very good. This is a charming Arts& Crafts style piece that would make a great Hall Wardrobe. With the addition of some shelves. Antique Museum Quality Quartersawn Oak Bedroom Set Armoire Matching Dresser Bed
This is a real beauty like nothing I have ever seen. The wood is in extremely good condition no bad spots on the outside considering it is over a hundred years old. Everything works good no stains. No real issues except maybe the mirrors are a little foggy and some of the back panel has been replaced on the dresser which is not a big deal. It was a real professional job There is a small hole in the inside of the armoire on the left top as shown in picture. Please ask question and you must come and pick them up or arrange delivery with a person I have here locally he enjoys traveling. Please ask questions.
