Skirted fronts and short cabriole legs lift it off the ground and keep the armoire from feeling heavy despite its size. This piece can be dismantled for moving. Overall. The armoire is in good condition. The two side mirrors have some noticable silver loss. Example pictured. There are also some small dents and dings to the wood. Beautifully finished in flame mahogany has a moulded cornice over a pair of fielded panel doors with Gothic arch design panels and is raised on a plinth base. The interior is free for hanging space so plenty of storage is available. As with all armoire's it flat packs for transportation so will access even the tightest stairwells. The front outer edging has an ebonised finish which contrast nicely with the walnut and highlights the fancy gilt mounts, It has a carved pediment at the top above a pair of panel doors which have walnut veneered and elaborate inlaid decoration. This stunning armoire is in excellent sturdy condition.The armoire will come completely flat so will go upstairs with ease. The cheeks of the armoire follow down to form the stylized swept feet and to the inside there are 3 shelves with the central one having a drawer below it. This is enclosed with a super pair of molded panel doors. A large wardrobe trunk made by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. This rare American trunk was beautifully made in the same style of the famous. Expensive ones. Extremely solid. And equipped with casters and great oak slats. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. This is complete. Incredible French Carved Single Door. Mirrored, Armoire/Wardrobe. Incredible detail all over. This one is from the mid 1800's, I do not believe it has been refinished ever, looks all original to me. You will see a few age marks here and there, and a few flecks of veneer off along the bottom of the door. In the last picture you will see the door is open to the piece and the left hand side is seperated, this is because a tightening bolt is missing. These pieces break down in several pieces and have to be attached, the bolt that attaches the left side to the crown, or topper, is missing, I will get a new one and have it in there before it is delivered to a customer. Stunning Antique French mirror wardrobe/armoire from the Belle Epoque Era
This has been in our spare room for several years and we absolutely love it- it is truly beautiful. Sadly we need to part with it to make way for a new member of the household. The top piece comes off above the mirrored door. And both drawers and shelves come off/out to make moving/transport easier. It is very sturdy, not a light piece. The paintwork is distressed and it was bought like this 11 years ago, and only the knobs and handles have been changed as they were in poor shape or not existent and 1 shelf added. It measures 252 cm high at middle point 124 cm wide. 46 cm deep plus the top piece sticks out another 25 cm as you can see from photo 2, but is removable. Solid pine antique wardrobe/ armoire. Beautiful. Has bags& bags of character, hand made hinges, still working lock complete with original key. It is still very sturdy. A testament to the craftsmen who made it. Has four shelves which can be removed if required. If you wish to add a hanger rail for longer garments. Would look stunning in a victorian or cottage home. Or in a chic shop as part of a display- very versatile indeed with the removable shelves. This item measures 39 inches wide by 19 inches deep by 69 inches high.
