I believe they probably originally came off an armoire or something similar, they do have a lot of age to them. I think they might be as old as late 18th century. There are iron rods that run the length of the doors. You can obviously see in the pictures that they show some wear and one of the doors is missing a section on the bottom. I did it myself but would recommend two people. Nice lines and beautiful wood inside and out. I believe exterior is walnut and interior is southern pine. Has some minor flaws that could be ignored or repaired. Top is missing some veneer and abrasion to back corner. One piece of trim needs glue. This Ar-moire is in beautiful condition and has been passed down to me with the following info. The items actual date of manufacture is unknown. But has been stated as being 1890-1899. Material used for construction has been stated to be Burl Walnut. Item was originally purchased at an estate sale in Beverly Hills, CA. Weight of item has been stated to be in excess of 300 lbs. but never actually taken. Item is stated as being 100% original in hardware and materials used. Now for what we know for sure. This Ar moire is very large! Measures 76" tall(from bottom of legs to tallest point. Center) with 72 1/2" across(from left to right edge, center) and a depth of 19 1/2" Diagonally(from bottom left corner, across face, to top right corner) it measures 102" The wardrobe is sectioned into three pieces. The left two thirds share ... moretheir interior space and have a beautiful brass closet style rod spanning its length, with original brass hangers and hooks.The right most third of this wardrobe is partitioned, and has three adjustable shelves and an original glass mirror(48x14x1/4) mounted on inside of door. Above the mirror is one of the items two manufacturers stamps, MADE IN THE CITY OF BATH, ENGLAND(as pictured) The other is hand stamped on rear of door latches, and is a very clear"C& A" The construction is absolutely flawless and has absolutely no issues inside and out. Continental Harwood Kas/Armoire 18th/19th Century Primitive Country Disassembled
For the woodworking enthusiast. This is a gorgeous kas made of oak. Bought at auction a year ago and did a lot of work cleaning it and sanding but I no longer have the time to devote to this piece. Kas appears to have been disassembled a long time ago for storage. This was a barn find. All pieces are there. I have sanded and cleaned with oxalic acid the entire front including all doors, drawers, top and bottom, sides and backboard still need to be done. Pulls are made of cast iron and are present excepting a half one that was missing. There is also a nice piece of bone carving that fits into teh small door above drawers. Solid and sturdy piece, constructed with rose head nails, square nails, tongue and groove and dovetail construction. There are hand plane marks on the backboards. Wooden pegs are broken and need replacing. This is a primitive, ... morecountry piece and not a fine antique. It will make a beautiful piece once restoration is completed. UPDATED INFO Vintage Antique "Chifforobe" Wardrobe Armoire Early 20th Century
This is an early 1900's antique"chifforobe" wardrobe) with 5 drawers and a small mirrored door on one side. And a full size wardrobe door on the other side. Behind the full size door is a place for hanging garments with an iron hanging rod. A couple of the drawers need some work but everything else functions normally. Beautiful wood grain with wear and tear that would be expected for age of furniture. Has been in continual use for 75 to 95 years! The inside of the chifforobe is somewhat more rustic than the exterior. One drawer bottom is quite interesting(see photo# 6)I don't know if this wooden crating material was a replacement or if it originally came that way. Either way. It's been like that for as long as I can remember, and I'm 57 years old. Truly. This item would make a great display piece for an antique clothing ... moreboutique or for great storage for at home! Dimensions: approximately. 45" in width. 63" in height, and 22.35 in depth. A little bit of history: My grandparents were married in 1919. And my widowed grandmother continued to use it throughout her adult life up until her death in the early 1990s. So this is truly an original vintage item with quite a bit of age on it.

My mother bought this when she was expecting me in 1949. It was white lacquered with animal decals by the two knobs on the armoire. Repurposed when I out- grew it. Antique Late 18th Century French provincial Armoire Doors w/ Iron Flowers Basket
Even though these old doors show some wear and damage I absolutely love the look of them and think they would make a great decorative item. You could hang these on a wall. Put them in a garden that is protected from the weather(I wouldn't want to leave these outdoors and damage them) or just a number of things. I believe they probably originally came off an armoire or something similar, they do have a lot of age to them. I think they might be as old as late 18th century. There are iron rods that run the length of the doors. You can obviously see in the pictures that they show some wear and one of the doors is missing a section on the bottom. Beautifull airmoir made from walnut tree in the end of the 1700 century. It is compuse for two parts. Upper and lower. It is in very nice conditions and completly usefull. A great decoration for the kitchen, the reception or the sleeping room, used originally to store the dishes, cups and accesories, but you can use it for many different porpouse, as a wardrobe, etc. The drawers and the doors are completly funtional and the rack inside the doors are also fine.
