There are 4 interior shelves and the fixed bottom board to use for storage. This piece was originally a wardrobe and the shelving was added later. Along with what looks like hooks for cups to hang on. There are 4 hooks that go with the piece. Please note; there is one hook missing(5 holes, 4 hooks) All surfaces are painted, except for the very top which appears to be a 14" wide oak plank. Up for sale is this Beautiful Rose Painted Jewelry Armoire. It stands approximately 17"L x 12"W x 39 1/2"H. It has 8 drawers. Which includes the lid which lifts to reveal a ring tray and smaller earring separators. The mirror that was mounted on the underside of the lid has broken. Two doors open on either side to reveal hooks on which to hang necklaces. The drawers open and shut wonderfully, the bottom drawer does need another brace, as once completely shut it leans downward, leaving the bottom of the face of the drawer to pivot upwards(please see pictures for further information) This is an easy fix. English 1890 Carved Triple Armoire Dressing Closet Combination. A marvelous triple armoire from about 1890 is a combination closet. Dressing cabinet and chest of drawers. Hand carved of solid walnut in England. This hand crafted furniture disassembles for delivery. The original finish is well preserved with various touchups over the years. Waxed and polished. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to preserve its antique patina. There are minor mars at the edges plus shrinkage separations from age. Embossed brasses are original, drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joinery. Mirrors are beveled. The right closet has a later hanging pole. Both sides could be fitted with shelves or poles as desired. Locks do not work, modern magnetic catches secure both doors. Three dimensional carved panels are masterful. Large vintage jewelry armoire/ box is 17.5" wide by 9" tall and 7" deep. Made by Acsons Imports Company in Japan. This is a STURDY. Well made piece. Nice detailing and hardware. Has 2 doors on each end with brass plated hooks inside for hanging necklaces. 4 pull out drawers in middle(2 are open, 1 has several sections and 1 has 2 sections) The interior is yellow velvet(felt) The box is in good overall condition for age. All hardware(hinges, pulls and hooks) are secure and undamaged. There are nicks in the wood and discoloration along the front bottom. There are scratches and stains on the top. The finish is remarkably well preserved with glowing antique patina and a few mars at the edges. Drawers have hand cut dovetails, locks and key still work. Inside shelves and a drawer are adjustable on wooden supports, interior depth is 16. The paneled back is cherry on this refined American made furniture. There is just enough"smoke" in the mirror for character. This classical cabinet with a gracefully arched pediment disassembles for moving. Hand cut dovetail joints are visible on the backside.
