The wood is beautifully grained. At the top(see photo 4) there is the little metal piece missing from the top right hinge that would go over the two screws on inside of the door. I went to our local hardware store. But they did not have such a part. I'll try Home Depot next; I'm sure the part can be located. There is a small chip to the wood on the left side of cabinet on the molding near the bottom(see photo 9) If the buyer so desires. I can add some wood putty, sand it and stain it. The cabinet door has an ornate solid drop pull and the drawer has two large decorative bail pulls. The skirt is arched on the side of the piece and there are scalloped brackets on the front. The interior is paneled and has two mounted hooks and 6 sliding hooks on the hanging bar. A very nice piece in remarkable condition for the age(circa 1890) this armoire is certain to become a cherished heirloom. Condition: It has some age appropriate signs of wear including scratches. Twelve Antique / Vintage American Eagle Brass Drawer Pulls With Drop Rings
Here are twelve vintage/antique drawer pulls. They are in the form of a handsome eagle. Well-cast and richly detailed. The pulls are non-magnetic and I presume them to be brass. They measure 2" high,1-3/4" across, and about 1/3" deep excluding the screw shafts. With the screw shaftes included they are 3/4" deep. The drops pulls are 1-1/2" in diameter. Nine of the pulls are single-screw and the remainder have two screws. The single-screw pulls have a sharp projectile above and below the shaft to more firmly imbed it into the wood. Stimpson company was that it opened in 1852 in Brooklyn and left that location 31 years later. You can see that it was shipped from Brooklyn to the International Hat Company in St. Louis. Missouri. Excellent hard to find figural metal statue of a medieval king on horseback about to plunge his lance into the enemy in the midst of battle. This antique action figure of King Arthur. Or someone like him, probably dates from the late 19th-century Victorian era and went on top of an Ansonia style mantle clock. It is cast in a dark bronze finished spelter metal with incredible artistry and detail- from the crown on his head to his suit of chain-mail. Even the lance is intact and sharply detailed. While the rearing horse jumping over the barricade gives this statue a sense of excitement. The statue stands 7" tall on a 8" by 3" metal base and weighs 3.5 lbs. I believe it can be repaired with liquid steel to function. the problem is that the aluminum lip around the nozzle. About 132 inch has frayed away and will not catch under the lip on the lid, which also has some degration. If you want this for a showpiece or to use. The nozzle could be liquid steeled to the lid. It would no longer be able to come apart but that shouldnt affect the funtionality or the looks of the item. These are fairly scarce and I have had this for some 25 years. A set of six mid to late 19th century drinking glasses. At their size they would have been used for sherry or similar strong wines and would also make good liqueur glasses. The glasses have cup shaped bowls which are cut with broad flutes to the lower section. The stems are hollow blown and cut and the feet have ground and polished pontils. They are made in good quality lead glass. These glasses are fine to use today and would make an interesting talking point at the dinner table.
