This Black Walnut Dresser/ Armoire is looking for a home and some TLC. It came out of my mother's home. Was used for storing linens. It measures 80" tall x 44" wide and 20 1/2"deep. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. It was originally in the Master Bedroom as a face to a his and hers closet front with a built in vanity in the center. The vanity is recessed. Backed with a beveled mirror with 3 drawers and a small cabinet below the washstand. To either side are double doors that access the closets. Each door has a long flat panel with raised moldings around. There is a drawer below each set of doors. The pediment goes the whole way across and has a crown molding at the top. It measures 120.25 inches wide. By 88.75 tall. It disassembles to load into a van or pick up truck. The original vanity could not be salvaged so we married another one to this one. Looks great. Overall. It is in decent condition. There are misc. scratches ... moreand dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. Most of the hardware needs to be replaced. This beautiful antique walnut armoire is from Paris. France. It is great for storage. I had a trim carpenter make extra shelves so I could hold more folded clothing. It is such a great clean style I hate to part with it. I paid $2600 for the armoir and purchased it at an antique store in Denton TX 16 years ago or in 1998. It has beautiful beveled original mirrors and a key lock. It also has a drawer on the bottom but the lock does not work. Should not be a big deal to fix. I have all the original pieces in the drawer. This base is made of solid Walnut wood with burled walnut on the front. It has a white Italian marble top with gray graining. The marble top has a beveled edge. There is a drawer front with keyhole in the front but the drawer itself is missing. It measures approximately 15 inches tall. 37.5 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. French Carved Walnut& Burl 1875 Antique Armoire. Hand carved in France about 1875. This amazingly detailed armoire is solid French walnut with intricate burl panels. Every kind of carving is artistic on this historic piece with columns. Shell and Gothic motifs. The old finish is very well preserved with golden patina and just enough mars at the edges for antique character. Waxed and polished, all that is needed to maintain its warm glow is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. The interior is 19" deep and empty. A closet pole or shelves could be installed if desired. There is slight warp to the doors, see photos. Original lift off hinges and the elaborate lock still works with a key.
