All of the hardware is original to the piece (iron hinges and porcelain drawer pulls). It is one piece and stands 80” tall, 54 & 1/2” wide and 22” deep. It is of square nailed construction. We've owned and used it for 30 years and I can attest that it holds a lot. I haven't done a thing to it since I've owned it other than used it for its intended purpose. The upper door panels are split and the back legs are thin but other than that it shows only typical wear from use. It appears to be completely original and will give many, many more years of service. Pick up only.

The roller stamp reads: UPHOLSTERER FINE FURNITURE CHARLES RITTMANN 61 HIGH STREET PAWTUCKET DRAPERY AND LACES; CABINET MAKER and FINISHER; Shades& Fixtures; Interior Decorator; Mattresses Spring Beds The width of the wooden roller is: 3 1/2" The diameter of the wooden roller is: 3 1/4" The wooden handle measures 6" long. Over length of the roller stamp is 11 3/4" Overall width of the roller stamp is 4" The lettering of the rubber stamp is adhered to the wooden roller. The lettering is in very good and legible condition. The roller is spring loaded to return to it's original starting position for the next manufacturing label inking. The wooden handle is attached to a metal Y-shaped metal arm. This metal arm supports the rubber stamp roller ... moreand internal spring-loaded mechanism. The ends of the Y-shaped metal arm have various groves to rest on the inking tray. This is a very rare Charles Rittmann upholstery/furniture stamp from circa early 1800's. Gilded bronze hardware, great sense of taste and proportions- a real masterpiece. When we found it the bibliotheque was used as a buffet and for this transformation ... morea mirror was added to the back of the top section and the wooden shelves were replaced with two glass shelves. I am selling it as found. With one key, two glass shelves for the top section which are not original to this item, and one wooden shelf for the bottom section.
