I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa 1920s- 40s Cedar Chest. The chest is in very clean original condition! It measures approx 45-1/4" long. 20" deep, approx 19-1/2" tall which includes the 1" castor height. The chest is in Excellent Condition- nice clean original finish- strong& sturdy- has a flat top which would be strong enough to sit on- that is unless you are over 300 lbs then I would not advise it. Some normal light age wear as one would expect. The only damage to note is a fairly inconspicuous chip/ slivered off piece- located on the front lower right. Shown up close in pics 10& 12. This is not something that is very noticeable at all, the sliver was done many years back and it has been stained over and the only way you will notice it, is if you look upclose with scrutiny. What a beautiful set you've found! It’s a neo-classical high-quality mahogany five-piece bedroom set by the Northern Furniture Company of Sheboygan. Wisconsin, dating from the 1930s or‘40s. If this was period neo-classical, you’d be looking at paying in the high thousands, but this is a very unique copy, complete with the ebonized pillars, the simulated brass ormolu trim, and the diamond point ebony inlay, with brass ormolu style stars. A hard. Close-grained wood, mahogany can be strikingly veined or mottled, as observed in these pieces. The set consists of a four-drawer tall chest. Two single beds, a matching three-drawer chest, and a matching mirror. All finished in a dark reddish-brown color, with two glass tops, and the whole set is all ready to find a place in your home. The set retains the feel of its original neo-classical style ... morehardware. The gilding and black ebonized paint is intact. It’s really stunning. The overall sizes of the pieces, beginning with the tall chest, are 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 46 inches high. This is a complete matched bedroom set handmade in New York sometime. We think, between the 30's and 50's. The maker was H. Herrmann Furniture Company, who had been in business hand making furniture since the 1800's. We've had several offers over the years but have finally decided to part with it. There are six pieces in total, all shown in pictures above. There are normal scratches one might associate with a set of this age. The inlaid design is spectacular. I'm a wood worker, and I have never seen its equal. I can provide detailed pictures and answer any questions as needed. Two mirrors in the pictures are also included.

Friends. Absolutely wonderful antique dollhouse bedroom with two twin beds, night table and vanity with stool. There is no mirror piece for inside the vanity, that would have to be replaced. Lower drawer of vanity opens. I have added a round table and one good chair and another broken chair, mainly because they are painted the same color. They might have once been all in the same room, with a sitting area in the bedroom. These pieces are in hard to find condition for age. Mauvey lilac color and a floral tapestry type fabric on the chairs and vanity stool. Beds measure 3 x 5.5" vanity is 5.5" tall. All wood. There are no breaks in any of these particular pieces, except for the one chair that is missing the front legs piece. Picked them up at an estate sale where the estate owners took fantastic care of their possessions. I don't kn ow the scale. All i can give is the size of the items. 1) The Bed is 5" x 6-1/4" x 4-3/ 4" T all at the headboard, mattress. Comforter and pillows all are hand stitched material. 2) The Dresser with the mirror is 3-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 6" Tall, the mirror no longer shows your reflection and the middle drawer is missing both knobs. 3) 2nd dresser with the scroll back board is 3-1/4" x 1-7/8" x 3-3/4" tall. 4) 3rd small dresser that looks like its missing its mirror is 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" x 3-1/2" tall. 5) Brass Lamp ... moreis 1-3/8" diameter x 3" Tall. Here is a very nice 3 drawer bedroom dresser. It has a marble top that can be removed. Has 3 holes on the back that looks like something was attached to it at one point in time. The drawer handles are hand carved grapes or berries with leaves. All handles are intact. None are broke or repaired. Looks like it's a tiger maple on the drawer fronts. Overall the set is in very good condition, with some scratches on the sides of the end table, and maybe light scratch here and there.
