Wonderful antique step back cupboard. Was perhaps an old child's toy or doll toy. Heavily varnished pine(I believe) wood with deep blue painted interior. The paint looks more recent. Not original but displays beautifully. Would be fabulous filled with old pottery doll dishes or a child's pewter or tin tea set. The colonial blue really sets it off. A scratch on the back shows the original old green paint underneath. 2 Adorable little white porcelain knobs. Some screws have been replaced and one of the bottom doors doesn't open very far. GORGEOUS HOOSIER CABINET- LATE 1800'S OR EARLY 1900s! This lovely antique. Hoosier cabinet is in my home and gets the most compliments ever! IT IS A RARE FIND: LARGE PULL OUT BOTTOM BARREL DRUM DRAWER. PULL OUT MIDDLE BARREL DRUM DRAWER(Terrific bread box) JUST UNDER THE ANTIQUE GLASS DOORS* ORIGINAL. ANTIQUE GLASS IN THE DOORS. THE BOTTOM SECTION: The total length of bottom is 48” inches across x 30¼” inches tall x 26 ¾” inches deep. There is a right side barrel. Pull out drawer that is 17” wide and extra deep at 15 ¾” at its deepest while on its left side there is a swing open door with two shelves inside for storage. There is a pull out. 16” wide cutting board that is directly on top of the side drawer mentioned above. THE TOP IS JUST TOO NEAT: The top is total of 41” wide x 12 inches deep x 40” tall. It has three shelves with plate indents in the back. The shelves are adjustable all the way from bottom to top. The bottom piece is 36" high. 58" across, 23" deep. The front drops down to display green felt on the base and storage in the back all of which could be used as a writing table or for sorting dishes and flatware- green felt has some marks- see pictures. The bottom doors open and has"saw tooth. There are no shelves for the bottom piece. I haven't seen them during the 45 years that mom had the piece. It requires repair: The bottom bar of the roll front needs to be re-attached to the roll front. The roll-front rolls down from the top to close at the bottom and covers the entire front of the cabinet. It has two handles and a working lock. The key is in the keyhole in the photos. The top section has ten drawers arranged as two columns and five rows. The bottom section is cabinet with two doors designed to look like more drawers. The lock mechanism for the doors is missing; we don't have it or the key. The original handles(Brass Library Drawer Pull tab Handles& Label Card Holders) of the drawers and the top handle of each door have been replaced with pivoting brass handles that were easier to operate. This beautiful antique cabinet is a great example of the fine work done by Asian artisans. This cabinet dates to the late 1920's- early 1930's. It bears a tag on th eback that reads as follows: Art No XZ-19-1/ Xian Arts& Crafts/ Made In China The cabinet stands 28" high x 17" wide x 15" deep. Painted with a thick black laquer. The cabinet is still shiny. The altar style top has an etched design boasting vibrantly painted peonies with flowing vibrant blue water and trees. The side panels have a similar etched and painted floral motif. The doors have an oval concave section on each. Within this concave area. The left door has an etched and vibrantly painted stem with a bud and a butterfly above it. The right side has vibrant flower flowing from a foliated stem. Framing each of the ovals are foliate chains with vibrant ... morebuds interspersed throughout the chains. There is a single drawer above the two doors. The floral and butterfly motif is carried over onto the face of the drawer. The center of the drawer boasts a decorative etched medallion back with a pull style handle. The cabinet has decorative brass hinges and hardware. The pieces that back the pulls on the doors have an etched design on them as well. The doors open to reveal a storage space with a shelf in the middle. The entire interior is painted with the same thick black lacquer. There are age and use associated dings. This is a stunning 9 1/2" cabinet plate made at the Coalport factory in England circa 1860. It is well marked with the gold ampersand mark. the painting of fruit and a flower is in the style of William Cook. A noted Coalport artist. The turquoise jewels are intact. The reticulated border is enhanced with gold, gold beads, and turquoise jeweling. This plate shows the excellence of Coalport craftsmanship. The condition of the body is excellent- no chips. Cracks or repairs. It rings like a bell. There is a 1/4" scratch in the pink ground. The outer most edge of the plate has gold wear; there is also some interior gold wear. Up for auction is a nice set of Antique Ornate 3 drawers Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet Drawers& Frames.They are in good shape for how old they are as the pictures indicate.One set of 3 drawers is in real nice condition.The second set is sturdy but 2 drawers are missing the wood design on front and some slight seperation of veneer side as well a a small section of veneer loss on the side see pics.I think these are 2 of the sames sides they were on an old machine and i removed them.
