Most likely dates to the 19th century, the frame is decorated in hand painted, tole ware/ toleware enamel embellishments formed as flowers, wheat sheaths and foliage. This is an very large. Rare 2 gallon antique tea pot made primarily of brass. The bottom is copper and seems to have been welded on at some point as there is a weld line all the way around the bottom. The condition is a little rough; there are a few dings, the metal is dull, and the bottom is blackened from use, but it is still useable and would make a nice display piece because if its age and unique size. this is a stunning antique large handmade copper and iron food heater warmer with stand and burners. it is Swiss made and signed at the bottom of the pot"Alla Monda" the pot is very large and made from thick copper with a great hand hammered finish. has thick copper handles on the sides and on the lid which all have great hand engraved detail. they are hand riveted to the pot with heavy duty copper rivets. the lid has a domed shape and sits nicely over the bottom pot. the pot has a great patina from age and is a heavy piece. it has a great wrought iron footed stand with swirled legs and 3 slots for burners. it was made this way to be able to use two burners at one for high heat or just to use on in the middle for low heat. the burners are also made from thick copper and have a hammered finish and have handled lids. the other handle ... morethat is connected to the burner turns and opens and closes the holes on the siders to control flame and heat. the inside of the burners contain basically one large wick and after adding fluid will light up perfectly. the burners sit nicely recessed into the base and sit off of the surface it sits. it is in good shape with no dents or pieces missing and has a great patina from age, it measures 18 1/2 inches long by 9 3/4 inches tall by 11 inches wide. great extremely rare one of a kind piece. RARE SPHINX MARKED Antique Brass Copper Riv Jam Pan Pot Kettle Preserve Cauldron
For sale is a RARE BRASS JAM POT MARKED with a SPHINX and some writing that I am unable to decipher at this point. I have never seen a piece with this mark before and I can not find another online. I have spent hours researching this maker's mark and I'm coming up with nothing! PLEASE-if anyone has in formation about the origin of this mark. Let me know! I have listed this one at a higher price due this maker's mark. You know, anything with a mark/signature has higher value and is more collectible. I would think twice before putting a plant in this one! The pot is in the style of the 19th jam pans that I see listed from time to time on eBay, Etsy and Ruby Lane. It does contain some copper-so it's okay enough:The kettle is best described as a 19th Century Brass(possibly over copper) with Copper Rivets& Cast Iron Handle. No proof of this yet, just based on the clues from it's structure.Could have traditionally be used for making large quantities of jam, or casserole. It has been well used and has all the character and dings of a much loved piece. I'm not sure why so many preserve/jam pots in England are brass, but I am finding that most of the brass ones that are listed are from England? Some are brass over copper-not sure if this may be one of them. It is olds water with no leaks or holes. The bottom is dented, but it still sits flat. Handle is firmly secured with solid copper rivets!I have included a picture of this pot prior to polishing as well.I am NOT an expert on kitchenware, so please do your own research if you are purchasing this piece for cooking purposes! Antique Chinese Tea Kettle Pot Brass On Copper Scenic Old China Motif Bat Bamboo
Antique Chinese Brass Kettle Teapot 8 1/2" wide/ 11" From Spout/ 7" Deep/ 11" to Top of Handle Wonderful old brass tea kettle decorated with people in oriental garden setting with bamboo. Clouds, bats and lotus flowers etched, engraved, pounded and hammered with nice texture and beautiful detail. This has a dovetailed cover with notched turn and lock style lid, there is an applied Bat with 4" wide wing span surrounding the spout and it is marked with writing that says Made in China in fancy old style wide lettering. There are thick calcium deposits and build up inside, the bottom is a little warped at the base so it wobbles slightly, the black swag handle may have repairs and is attached with rivets. This was an estate sale purchase in the early 1970's from an antique dealer that passed away years ago, it has ... morenot been polished for at least 10 years and does show the age with light oxidation and natural patina. There are minor dents and dings around the lower section and base is pushed in a little on side under spout, maybe from tipping when full and some copper is showing through on base. Antique 19th C. French Copper Ladle/Saucepan/Pot with Spout and Wood Handle In this listing we offer a unique 19th Century copper pot with a spout and a copper& turned wood handle. It may have been used as a saucepan. Ladle or pot. For the three years our family lived in Paris. France in the very early 1960's. We usually went out for a drive outside the city on Sunday afternoons. My parents' purpose was not to go shopping. But to get their children out into the lovely countryside once a week. On one occasion. However, we stopped in a small town where there was an interesting little antique store. My parents saw a set of ten copper pieces. Some of which matched and some of which did not. And were told by the shopkeeper that everything was 19th Century French in origin- not much more than that. My parents made the poor shopkeeper ... moretake them all out back and fill them all up with water just to make 100% sure that none of them leaked, and then they bought them all. The items have never been used for cooking since. They have been hung on a wall in various places we have lived, with only a little polish once a year. Or so. This piece is one of those interesting pots. Most of which my parents have decided to place on the market at this time. This beautiful piece is in very good condition. Though it would require retinning before it could actually be used for cooking. The wood handle is very slightly loose where it is joined to the copper portion of the handle by two copper round-headed nails. A triangular plate with three rounded projections is attached to the pot by three copper rivets. And the handle is soldered to this with brass. The underside of the copper portion of the handle shows a brass soldered seam. There is a little green oxidation on the inside of the pot. Please note: This pot does not stand flat on its own and I am certain it never did. There is no evidence of scorching on the wood handle. The wire through the drilled hole at the end of the wooden handle was there when my parents b

Up for auction is a VINTAGE COPPER COFFEE POT ON ROD IRON STAND/ NORTHERN CAL. LOGGING CAMP. This item was found in an old redwood logging camp in Northern California. The pot measures 11 1/2 inches tall. It sits on a rod iron stand and the coffee pot sits on it and tips for pouring. I am not sure of the year. We found it in my Uncle's shed with most of his camp items. He was a logger from the 1930's 40's and early 50's. It was cleaned a few years ago. So 1 quart with room for boiling water/pouring. Tapered-form copper kettle with gently domed lid still fully water tight: lid is loose, part of hinge is missing but the pot is completely functional and can be displayed without repairing the hinge. Soldering evident in areas is possibly old repairs, possibly original fabrication. Finial has traces of what appears to be black paint: handle was likely painted black as well. This Swedish kettle is made for a wood burning stove. There are no cracks or breaks in it. The spout is isn't cracked either. The lid comes off and on as it should with no sticking. Interior shows signs of use. It has the SVEA insignia on the handle. Which moves with ease.

Antique copper tin lined dovetailed cooking pot with name on handle
This is a very nice pot in fantastic shape! It has the name. Mrs. Rose Shink, embeded on the underside of the handle. Measures 13 inches long to the tip of the handle. Handle itself is 7 inches long. It is just over 6 inches in diameter and just over 3 and 1/2 inches tall. Quite heavy. United States bidders only. I will ship on conformation of payment and insure it for the purchase price. Gorgeous vintage hand-crafted English footed copper pot. There are lions heads on each side with ring-handles in their mouths. There are 3 lions feet at the base. The brads at the seams of the piece and holding the lion heads in place jut out ornamentally on the exterior. And on the interior the brads are flat and flush with the surface. This is just a wonderful piece with lovely detailing. This pot could serve multiple purposes: You could use it as a wine cooler, as an ornate ... morewaste paper basket for your desk, or as a fancy planter. This item measures 7-3/4 inches high. It measures 7-7/8 inches across the top. The opening size is 7-3/8 inches. The bottom of the pot measures 5-7/8 inches across. The widest measurement from the tip of one lions claw to another is 7-1/4 inches. This pot weighs 443.7 grams. On the bottom of the pot it says impressed into the copper MADE IN ENGLAND and HANDMADE. There is glue remainder from an old label that is no longer present. There is also a gold foil label from the shop that sold the piece when it was new, that was Braukmans in Denver Colorado. I looked Braukmans up on the Internet and from what I could glean they closed many years ago. This pot is in overall very nice vintage condition. There is some minor age-appropriate scuffing and some small, light water stains, just the normal light wear that you would expect for an old piece of this type. There is one spot of verdigris above one of the lions paws, and it is not easily noticeable since it is so close to the bottom of the piece. The overall condition of the metal is very good. RARE. ANTIQUE LATE 1890s COPPER TEA KETTLE/ POT WITH BURNER STAND MADE BY S. STERNAU& CO. OF NEW YORK USA, SAME COMPANY THAT INVENTED& SELLS STERNO CANNED HEAT. Very nice. Original, as-found condition. Shows great color and patina to the exterior surface, with the tell tale signs of this piece once being used in 19th Century America. Has very light dings and dents in the exterior surface from use and storage all these years. Very heavy piece at about 3-1/2 pounds in weight. Comes with the original top cover, but it is missing the original wood handle/ finial. Inside of the pot also shows light tarnish, but nothing too bad. The burner stand is copper lined over a weighted iron base. Shows tarnish and rust on the bottom. Comes with the original cover for the burner and appears to be complete. It comes untested. If you so choose to try ... moreand use it, you will have to clean the burner& probably apply a new wick. Marked on the side of the burner with the patent date.
