Set the mood in your vintage home or artsy apartment with this antique pewter, pear shaped, (1850s?) Queen Anne coffee pot. It's in great condition, heavy, ... moresolid, not cracked or rusted, although the finial is filed down. Purchased in Massachusetts 25+ years ago. Purposely never polished. 7" high, 8" wide, opening 3". Hinged lid. Weighs 1 lb 8 oz before packing. We think it is English. As for the finial, perhaps a replacement can be made by a metalworker. The original might have been shaped like a beehive, because the pewter mark on the bottom is that of a bee -- though we can't identify the maker. Nice for a shelf or mantle, closed for display, or opened to hold pens or dried flowers.

Large antique handwrought antique pewter coffee pot American? 18/19th century
Description: Beautiful large handwrought pewter coffee pot with a handle that terminates in a heart at the bottom. Great flowing design. Substantial and well made. Appears to be handwrought, but I am not an expert. Not marked as to maker or country of origin. I always assumed this was late 19th century, along the lines of the Arts and Crafts and turn of the century English designers, but I saw a very similar one in a period film set in the Georgian period, so perhaps it's earlier. I am sure someone on ebay knows. Most of my items are vintage or antique and may have normal wear commensurate with age. Use and materials. I will mention any damage or flaws I see. Please review the pictures; they are an important part of the description. Please email me if you have any questions. Payment: Payment is due within 3 days of auction’s end. Paypal ... moreonly. Antique 1800s Cartwright & Son Pewter (Brittania Metal) Footed Coffee Pot Teapot
Up for auction is an antique pewter footed pot for tea or coffee made by G. Cartwright and Son in the mid- to late 1800s. This striking piece stands 10" tall and measures 10" across from handle to spout. Its finial is comprised of two acorns on a leaf. And it rests on ornate feet. The bottom is marked"G. Cartwright& Son 95" above which is imprinted"WG" The years have been relatively kind to this teapot. Although it is not without its flaws-most noticeably a small dent near the bottom and scratching on either side of the spout(near the pouring end) There are stains on the inside of the pot and the lid looks like it sits a bit off. Set of Reed&Barton Antique Pewter Coffee Tea Pot Sugar Bowl Creamer Pitcher 1765
Set of Reed&Barton Antique Pewter Coffee Tea Pot Sugar Bowl Creamer Pitcher 1765 Both of the large pots have been repaired at some point in time- see pix. There are a total of six pieces here. I do not believe that the lid to the sugar bowl is original to the set but it is how I purchased it so I'm keeping them together. There is an unusual two piece lid that is sculptural and very lovely. I am not certain as to which piece it is intended to fit upon. Tall pot measures 10.5" tall ~ This is a heavy substantial set that could use a good cleaning though some prefer to display it with an aged patina. I'll leave that up to you. You should know: Ebay is not just a hobby for me. It is how I support my family and I take my work and the satisfaction of my customers very seriously. I scour New England buying items at auctions. Estate sales(sometimes even yard sales) and from individuals looking to downsize. I keep some items for myself(we live in a 200 year old Colonial here in New Englan d) and I sell the rest. It's an incredibly enjoyable way to make a living and I love it! I price my items to sell ... moreas I am not a collector and I am not trying to make a killing- just trying to make a living. I know a little about a lot of different things and a lot about very few things. Each time I list an unfamiliar item I do a bit of homework and I develop a listing price. W ithout wasting a whole lot of time I get the item in the store on eBay. Many items I offer have a"make an offer" option on them as I am open to reasonable and serious offers on most everything I have in the store. Thus far all buyers of everything I have offered have been pleased with their experience here and their purchases from me. We do have a generous return policy as well so you may purchase any of my items with the utmost confidence- take a moment to review my hard-earned excellent feedback profile. It's all good here. Thank you for your consideration.

Antique Leonard Reed & Barton Coffee/Tea Pot ~ Pewter / Britannia ~ 1840 Tea Pot
Up for consideration is a fine example of early American Pewter/ Britannia. This coffee pot by Leonard Reed& Barton( 1835- 1840. Taunton, MA. is in its original, unpolished condition. It measures approx. 12 1/4" high, 12 1/2" wide spout to handle. Both the finial and the handle are wooden, giving the pot a wonderful look. The hinged lid reveals a stained interior due to use. The bottom is clearly marked"Leonard Reed& Barton, 3000, 10" Someone also engraved some numbers 115-769-99 and marked the bottom with a 47. Considering the fact that this item is approx. 180 years old it is in very good condition. Some black paint is worn on the top and bottom of handle and there is a small ship on the bottom of the wood finial. This piece would be a great edition to your collection.
