There are dings here and there to the metal, lightly bumped corners, light oxidation and patina. The lid doesn't quite shut all the way. This is a lovely sculpture of a beautiful French lady sitting on a marble base or plinth. The woman is made of white metal and gilded and is in the art nouveau style. The sculpture is perched on a green and black marble plinth. The sculpture itself is 4 ½ inches high and it is 5 ¼ inches on the plinth. The sculpture likely started life as an ornament on a 19 th century French clock. The base was chipped in order to make the woman sit properly. The chips can not be seen when the sculpture is in place. There is some gilding loss to the woman. The woman may have been holding a spear or something when on the clock.

This is an antique Art Nouveau cast iron tray with attached match box holder made by Bradley and Hubbard. On one side is a profile of a woman with flowing hair and her arm extended along the bottom of the tray. On the opposite side of the ashtray is a flower partially cut out of the iron. The tray measures 8" long. 4" in wide and 3 1/4" high. It is in excellent condition. It has a lovely rich brown patina with a hint of rust. The photos make it appear rusted all over. Nice original warm patina on this authentic period piece. Excellent craftsmanship in the joining of the base to the stem. Great detail in the incised lines in the horn/trumpet shape of the vase. Very solid and heavy. There is a very small flaw in the base. Noted in one of the photos with the pencil pointing to it. Look closely at the photos for more details and descriptions. My late grand parents had quite a few items to burn incense& I remember they used little"cones" that they would light and the smoke came out of the holes in the top. Very similar to a"Vantine Pastille Burner" I sold previously. I tried to wipe soot off to get a photo of the words inside the base. HOWEVER I cannot find any makers trademark. Only the words"MADE IN FRANCE 1053" and I am fairly sure it is from the early 1900's based on provenance. My grandmother had to give up her home and move in with her daughter in 1965. Up for auction we have a Circa 1888 Antique Art Nouveau"Dancing Toad" bronzed iron casting. This is a double dancing toad with top hat. Original use is a glass fishbowl holder. These are difficult to find and this one is in very solid. Heavy, strong and in very clean condition. Great eye appeal and striking to look at. The size is 9 1/4 lenght,7 3/4 high by 7 inches deep. Antique Pewter Tea Pot Art Nouveau Design European in as found condition
Antique pewter teapot with embossed Art Nouveau designs on it and a cast bunch of strawberries on the top. It has numbers on the bottom 462 and a 4 below it. It is in good used condition for an antique. It has been professionally repaired. I feel that the hinge on the top has been replaced and there is a repair on the bottom under the handle that can be seen on the inside. the cast final is held on with a wing nut so it may be a replacement. Again I don't know. These repairs are the norm with pewter that is used. The little insulators are ceramic not ivory or bone as many are. There is a built in strainer on the pot on the spout exit. I say it is European because the spout is higher than the top of the pot, with American they are even. I would guess at a Low Country origin.

Antique BRONZE CHERUB Angel SCULPTURE Child Statue BOOK END Art Deco / Nouveau
Great antique solid bronze sculpture depicting an angel. Or cherub, sitting and writing peacefully. This piece stands 8" tall and would make a great bookend, or just as decor on a mantle or something. Statue is 4" wide, and 4" deep. Minor patina in places but overall in great shape! I was not able to find a signature unless it is signed underneath the felt bottom. I bought this piece at an estate sale that was chalked full of old fancy stuff.
