These are extremely rare to find anymore and one in it's original presentation case is truly an exceptional find. This Omega Desk clock has an inscription on the reverse side of the case showing at some time in the past it was serviced by a jeweler. The center of case has the stamped Omega logo showing it was fabricated in Switzerland and has a serial number of 7550549. We are not collectors or experts on clocks however. It appears from a brief inspection that it's missing the slow/fast adjustment pin. Please check all the photos and determine the condition for yourself. At the present time we tried to wind the clock and it turns but does not hold. The winder for the hands seem to function properly. Being that this Omega Desk Clock is nearly 100 years old and most likely needs to be serviced again before using we are offering no guarantees or refunds. You don't find lasting quality like this anymore! The desk has three drawers on one side and two drawers on the other side. One in the center and a flat pull out on each side for writing or whatever. This desk is very solid and heavy and in very good vintage condition, with normal wear for its age. It does normal wear and tear, but can easily be sanded down or chemically dipped and refinished to bring it back to good as new. All drawers are in great condition and pulls out good, but will need a light cleaning. No dents or major damage that I can see. I DO have the key for this desk. Awesome vintage desk. I acquired this desk with the intention of refinishing it. And using it in my cabin but I simply do not have time to do that. Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony. The desk is a reproduction made by the Maddox Table Co. of Jamestown, New York. This desk comes right out of the New England estate. The desk has those wonderful features most folks are looking for, such as all-wood drawers with dovetail corners, and clawed feet. The hardware and locks are the originals that came with the desk, not replacements. The desk was in my family for around 60 or so years, so the desk dates to at least 1950, and it may be older than that- I'm just not sure. The desk is the slant-front style, hinged at the bottom, so it opens up and the front lays flat to become the writing surface; the desk front can be locked. When the desk front is opened and lowered into the writing position, two arms come out automatically to support the writing surface. Inside the desk there are 3 small drawers, and holders for stashing letters and so forth. In the center of the opened desk, inside, there is a closed compartment with no lock; the compartment door is scratched. There are 3 drawers below the writing surface that extend almost the full width of the desk, and each one of them can be locked. These drawers have a graceful bow front(see photos) Above the desk itself is a prominent feature, a bookcase with 2 shelves covered by hinged glass doors that swing out and can be locked. The bookcase doors do not line up 100% vertically when closed, a common problem with these desks. It is also finished on the back so it can be used as a floating desk and it will look great from every angle. It is solid oak with a blonde wood veneer and it is very heavy. The desk measure 29-1/2" tall, it is 46-1/4" long and 23-1/4" wide. The chair is 32" tall, 18" wide and 17" deep. The seat is 17-3/4" tall and 15-1/2" deep. The desk has 7 drawers including one large file drawer. It is in excellent condition, on close inspection it may show a few vintage scuffs or bumps but nothing outstanding, it has been well cared for. The insides of the drawers show some normal use marks. Looks like it was once a darker brown mahogany type color. No brand name or number could be found.It was re-finished after looking over the drawers. Hardware appears original. Desk is about 42 inches long. 20 inches wide. Stands 29 1/2 with the legs. If removed, height would be about 26 inches. 9 drawers! Center drawer is 15" wide, side drawers are 9" inches wide. All single-desk photos refer to the auctioned desk, save for the last photo, which shows the desktop of the second desk. This is a petite. Probably circa 1970s, classically midcentury-Danish modern teak(veneer) desk, by Domino Mobler, made in Denmark. Stylish and restrained. It's constructed of teak solids and veneers(primarily veneer) over hardwood and particle board, The legs and drawer unit are attached ... moreby machine screws and can be removed for transport(and I think but am not certain that the drawer unit can be moved to either the left or right side(floating" drawers) The desk has three equally-sized drawers. The topmost of which has a lock. I do not have the key. It was easy to pick- I would think you might be able to get a skeleton key that would work, or get a key made if you really want one. Condition: For their probable age. I think the desks are in nice vintage condition. They have the minor nicks, superficial scratches, blemishes, minor imperfections, etc. that come with vintage furniture and are part of their character and appeal. The are solid and sturdy. Flaws: As I acquired these. They were in generally nice shape but appeared dry and had faint water marks. I very lightly sanded the tops(veneer) and gave each table a treatment of Watco Teak Oil finish per the instructions. I don't have a lot of experience with teak. Overall, I think they look pretty nice, but the tops I think absorbed the oil a little unevenly, most notably on the right side and corner of the first desk. Still, I think they look nice, but might benefit from another pass with
