This large hand hammered brass oval tray measures 24 1/4" from handle to handle and 13 1/2" wide. Solid cast brass handles secured with copper button rivets. No marking. HANDSOME VICTORIAN ERA KITCHEN COPPER BAKING PAN ~ HAND HAMMERED ~ 19th c.
This is a handsome antique copper baking pan. Our feeling is that it is English or American and produced in the second half of the 19th century. It measures approximately 13 ½” in diameter and a little over 2” deep. The pan weighs 2 lbs. It is handmade and has a hand hammered body with the rim hand rolled over an iron rod for shape and strength which is characteristic of older pieces. The pan has a steel hanging ring which is held by a small metal plate attached to the body by a copper rivet. The pan has a tinned interior. It has no maker’s mark which is generally the case on old functional copper items. This pan was formerly displayed with other pieces of antique kitchen copper many years ago in a Los Angeles area restaurant which ultimately went bankrupt. This specific pan was later exhibited in Mary Frank Gaston’s book“ANTIQUE BRASS& ... moreCOPPER– IDENTIFICATION& VALUE GUIDE” Collector books 1992) It is shown on page 150(pl. 534) The baking pan is in good original condition with only normal use wear. A handle is sodded to the side of the cream dish and both measure about 2 inches tall. There is some tarnish and rubbing on both pieces. Arts Crafts Hand Hammered Finely Planished Copper Brass Trumpet Vase Erp-Style
Lovely Arts and Crafts Trumpet/Tulip Vase. This piece is finely hand-hammered out of fairly heavy-gauge brass and has some very fine planishing in the workmanship-it has a mellow brass copper patina with just a touch of sienna and a smidgen of earth green. It is 7 1/4inch high.The mouth of the vase and the base/foot of the piece are both an equal 4 inches across.I'm no expert but i have owned some old A&C Metalwork-a couple of Van Erps and two Roycrofts,and as a as a guesstimate i'd say this piece was at least pre 1940's and most likely 20's-30's or before.There are no cracks or noticeable dings,soldering on bottom seems fairly tight. This piece is unsigned and was probably created at a Vocational School or by someone in an apprenticeship program.

Antique Hand Hammered Copper Bowl W/ Lid (urn) - Maker's Mark on Bottom
I have up for auction a small antique hand Hammered copper bowl w/ lid. I am assuming this could also be considered an urn. The bowl with the lid is 4" tall and 4-1/2" wide. There are a few small dents(pushed in a tad) that can easily be pushed out BUT I prefer to sell it as found and let the new owner push out the slight indentations if so desired. I find them part of the character of this piece. On the bottom I have taken two(2) photos so that maybe you can identify the maker. I will start the bidding off very low and maybe you will get lucky and me a little unlucky.

But the egg poacher it may be copper plated over very soft metal- Ladle measures 21-3/4" x almost 6" wide. The strainer paddle measures 24" long x 7" wide- The egg poacher measures 8" wide x 10-1/2" between the tips of the handles. They have some wear and tarnishing. ANTIQUE HAND HAMMERED COPPER SAUCE PAN ~ DOVETAILED ~ 18th/19th c.
This is an antique copper sauce pan for the collector of old kitchen copper. It is approximately 4 ¼” in height with a top diameter of 8” and a handle length of 8 ½” The pan is heavy and weighs approx. 3 lbs. It holds a little over 3 quarts in liquid. The sauce pan is entirely handmade and has a tinned interior and a handmade copper handle which is secured to the body by a heart shaped mounting with three copper rivets. The pan is of dovetailed construction. However. Where generally the body is joined by a single vertical brass braised dovetailed seam, this piece is seamed vertically on two sides. This is not particularly common. The bottom is also dovetailed as you would expect. In addition, the pan bottom has an old dovetailed patch where it was once repaired. This is a country piece and would have been too valuable to discard ... moreif there were a hole in the bottom. Instead it was more cost effective to have the pan repaired by a smith or traveling tinker. The repair on this pan is nearly as old as the pan itself. Having lasted all this time it has become part of the bona fides of the pan. Overall. This sauce pan is in good condition for its’ age. It has all of the usual dings of generations of use and wear but no dents. The handle is tight and the rivets are secure. The body of the pan still plainly shows the planishing or hammer marks used to create it. The item is not marked as to who made it or when. Most antique kitchen copper is not marked so this is no surprise. The fact that the pan is a country piece and handmade complicates the issue since the construction techniques were the same for generations. Based on our own experience, we would think that this sauce pan was made in the late 18th or early 19th century. This is a nice old item which has been displayed in our home for many, many years.
