The walnut is hand finger carved with scrolls. Flares and indentions od fine etched carvings.Small repair on upper left side. I do not know if it works.no key,I do have the second hand,it is broken and brass also. The brass repousse is in excellent condition.the# 2 enamell on the dial is worn. The winged putti in the shell at the top is heavy brass attached with brass mounts. No marks that I can find? The back cover of the clock works is zinc on a swing pin. A very fine antique. Circa 1920's- 1930's, French regulator wall clock with Westminster chimes. The hardwood case has quartersawn oak veneers with mother of pearl inlays, gilt trim. There are brass ornaments applied. The pendulum glass is beveled, the white metal dial is satin finished. Includes the brass pendulum, no key. It is in working order: tells the time, quarter Westminter chimes with rods, and chimes the hours. Clockworks are marked: Fontenoy, Made in France. It measures 34" tall by 13-1/2" wide by 7" deep. Excellent condition: case without chips or cracks, original finish unworn, glass without damage. Mother of pearl inlays ane brass ornaments all present.

This is a very nice and rare Odo Clock made in France. It has the Greek( figure with a hammer that hits the bell once every half hour and on the hour(on the hour it hits it the number of the hour) On the back of the figure it says Modele Depose which I believe means"registered design" There are initials and what appear to be a date on the back. Not sure if it was by a maker or an owner. All in all this is a very beautiful clock. I have used it for several days and it seems to keep good time and the chimes are nice. antique French brass morbier wall clock Soulier a'Sancoins working condition
about 60 inch top to bottom. It is in good running condition time strike bell hour and half hour. the bell is mounted on top. there is a very very fine line on the face above the 6 like a hair but need to be on top of it to see. I am not expert in this field but estate has clocks so we will do our best. the clock has been running a week with no issued to what degree accurate running just a few minutes fast. I know that the pendulum is where you make adjustment for that. the pendulum is 12 1/2 inch wide at widest point. the clock itself is 15 inch top down to bottom. the weights are 8 lb each If you do not know anything about clocks I suggest you do not buy antique clocks as they run one day and not the next. just because of no reason. sometimes just a vibration will stop a pendulum from swing. but as stated the clock is running now and has ... morebeen for a bit over a week. estate did not use on regular basis but would run it every few weeks. email any questions there is no reserve and a reasonable start price. look over photos carefully. The clock is old and there are numerous little dings and some residue tucked into the nooks and crannies of the detail work. But on the overall it is a very impressive clock. ~ French- Circa 1880 ~. ~~ Excellent condition. Fully overhauled ~~. A very large(3 ft in height) and stunning original antique French cartel wall clock. It is beautifully modelled in gilt bronze. In the baroque style with elaborate, stylised architectural detail including the fancy broken arch pediment, columns to the sides and profuse acanthus decoration. It is formed as a large back plate onto which the clock is fixed, mounted with a shield shaped dial surround. The large dial itself is formed as part of the case and is 8" 20 cm in diameter) It is mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouche letters. The hands are fretted and blued steel. The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. This wall mounted clock has a marble face with gold Dore framed enameled Roman numeral characters. The case is hinged and opens from the bottom so you can wind and access the atcual clock. Dust, dings and normal normal signs of age. Missing the screws that hold the face onto the back at the hinges. Missing the pendulum and key. Missing three nuts that hold the face onto the movement. Otherwise has no apparent damage or repairs. I tested it with my spare key and both springs wound properly and did not feel like they were sprung or wound too tight. The chime feature functions properly when the hour hand is rotated, however the hammer is not lined up with the chime rode. I could not test the ability to keep time because of the missing pendulum. Antique French Carved Wall Clock. Circa 1870, working perfectly Impressive wall clock completely made of solid oak wood. With carvings and moldings performed by hand. It is a French clock with 8-day Paris movement that chimes the hours and the halves. Though being quite old, this clock is in excellent condition: the movement is original and has been fine-tuned so it currently works like new. The box boasts a wonderful walnut color, with the oak’s deep veneer and the decorative carvings standing out in the design. The clock’s box is shaped like a shield. With a central circular face directly carved in the wood. The black Roman numbers are painted on white-enameled brass plates embedded in the wood. The hands are beautiful, quite stylized and with a nice medieval-inspired design. The face bears an inscription in white lettering that has been ... morepartially erased. Surrounding the circular face we can see a series of low-relief recess panels that separate it from the carved border. The box’s border is quite attractive. As stated before. The square clock has been made from metal that has been decorated with a chromolithograph Art Deco motif. It measures 13 inches square. In vintage condition with wear to the imagery and light rusting overall. Made in Saint-Etinne(trademark on the face of the clock) Clock mechanism is still intact within a round metal case on the backside. Dark blue on the backside of clock. Original winding key is included. However, clock has not been cleaned and appears to be not be working. New owner may choose to have it professionally cleaned to work. We have looked at other examples being offered on eBay and none are in such a fine state of preservation as this one. The face is not oxidized or damaged in any way. And the wooden cabinet has been very well maintained and shows only the most minor of wear. What makes this clock particularly appealing is the richness of the sound of the chimes, as well as the little man at the top who appears to be banging the bell with a hammer.
