These are a matched pair of cast brass antique 1880's keyhole covers in a teardrop or tassle shape. With draft cover. They measure 2 1/8" tall x 7/8" wide. The keyhole opening is 5/8" tall. They come with 4 old brass screws, all slot- 3 slightly round head, and 1 flat. The escutcheons have been cleaned on a buffing wheel, but have retained much of their patina. These are a matched set of 4 ornate. Thick brass keyhole covers, measuring 2 3/4" wide x 2" high x 1/8" thick. They have a medium dark, almost pebbly finish, and are stamped on the back- N6641 N6642 700 KBC. I believe these date about 1940. They have a hole at the top to screw in from the front, and a threaded 1/8" post on the back. The keyhole itself is 1/2" tall. VINTAGE REPOUSSE BRASS ESCUTCHEONS. UNUSED FOR WOOD CASKET, JEWELRY BOX. Vintage repousse metal(looks like brass) keyhole escutcheons. Unused, for wood casket, trinket, jewelry box. More vintage hardware is listed at my auctions or store. 8- 2 1/8" long x almost 1" height. Very good unused condition. Two sets wrapped in cord measure 1 7/8" long x 1 3/16" height. After taking photos. I untied these two sets. The set without the oxidation at the top contains 36 with only the outside one with a tarnished spot. The others in this set are like new. The one set that has oxidation at the top contains 36. They all have oxidation in the same place as the outside one in the photo, but still look unused. I took one(not included in the count) and used BarKeepers Friend to remove some of the tarnish. The tarnish did not come off completely, ... morebut where it does it looks nice. You may have a cleaning product you like better to remove the oxidation/tarnish. All measurements are approximate. Very good condition. No cracks or chips. The tarnished ones need cleaning and/or polishing. If you are looking for more similar items like this. 2 old vintage ornate brass escutcheon key hole backplates. They're in good used vintage condition with some surface wear and tarnish.no dents/dings/cracks or breaks. But one of them seems to have been cut on one side probably to fit a specific space. The vertical one measures just over 2 3/4" tall x just over 5/8" wide, the horizontal one measures just under 2 1/4" wide x just over 1" tall and has a very interesting shape and design. 10 cast brass Antique ornate victorian escutcheons,key hole covers door hardware
This is a beautiful set of 10 matching antique cast brass escutcheons. They were probably originally used on interior doors. Each is 7/8" wide and 1- 7/8" tall. The keyhole is 11/16" long and a little more than 5/16" across. The slot portion of the hole will accept a key that is 1/8" wide. The clear finish on these is chipped and worn. On one. It is nearly gone. There is some discoloration from oxidation. The photos were taken in natural light, so the escutcheons look a little washed out. They have a brighter brass tone, but they still look old and a little weathered. They are very nice. If you have any questions. Please ask.

3 Antique Solid Brass Escutcheons/Key Hole Covers. These are 2-15/16" in width and 2" in height. These were purchased from an estate where most everything was from Keeler Brass Company from at least the 1960's however I am not sure if these are Keeler hardware. They have never been used and are in good condition but may need a little cleaning/polishing from being stored so long. If you have any questions please let me know.
