It is a dark green cut glass. facetted sides. a small one actually. the larger white metal end is a little dented and knocked and I can see NO silver hallmarks on it anywhere. this of course does not mean to say its not silver as alot of similar items are not marked.MY PRICE has nothing to do with the metal content.its the ANTIQUE VALUE of the item. So this larger end. you simple unscrew it to see the inner cork of the lid and a nice gilt thread collar around the bottle. a nice mouth too. no damage. The other end is a FLAT top. you can see the square hinge at the back.so simply lift the lid. hinge it up to see the gilt interior grill which has been fine chip carved engraved. looks like a little pepper pot. now then be carefull here. quite often this little grill hinges off or pulls up.this one you MUST unscrew the whole top lid. see the photographs. inside it has the small sponge. ANTIQUE Silver & Cobalt GLASS PERFUME Scent Snuff BOTTLE made in FRANCE 1850s
French made snuff or parfume bottle circa 1850-1870. It is made of blue cobalt glass and silver. I used to think that the top had a bit of turquoise on it. But I cannot be sure that it is turquoise. I am sure that it is silver fretwork that encases the cobalt glass.I seriously doubt that it's a right enough grade to be considered sterling. There are no marks on the silver to indicate what it is. The top screws on, it's not a"cork top" as many of them are of the day. There is no damage to the exterior of the bottle. However the spoon has detached due to the adhesive failure. That is a spoon and not a perfume dabber. The new owner can decide whether or not they wish to have it cleaned. It will need to go to a legitimate jewelry or restoration expert. However. I never cleaned it because frankly I'm afraid I don't know ... morehow. It is about 1.25" tall and 3/4 of an inch in width. Please see the photos for exact examples. I've had this for about 15 years and I cannot remember where I purchased it. It was probably at an antique shop. There for a while, I thought that I would start collecting snuff bottles because of the variety of materials and mediums there are in one subject type. They are interesting. However, I purchased another snuff bottle within a couple of months after this one and it turns out to be a"reproduction" the likes of those listed that fetch under $5. After that finding out exactly what I purchased and that I paid quite a bit for, I lost interest in collecting them. So this is the only one that I have and it belongs in a collection. Antique Silver Scent Perfume Bottle, Mid-19th C, Exquisite!
This is a beautiful. Mid-19th century, solid silver perfume bottle. It is decorated with bright-cut designs in an overall stripped pattern alternating around the eight sides. This item is 2 1/8 inches tall. The overall condition is excellent, with very light wear noted. There is a tiny dark stain on one side, which can be seen in the photo. There are no other flaws to the body, which was tested and found to be.800 silver or higher. The hinge works well. The inside of the lid is lined with a thin piece of cork. The stopper is ground, unmarked, and without chips or cracks. The hinge is stamped with one hallmark on the top and bottom. It is the same hallmark, and although it is indistinct, it may be the French Poicon for sterling. We do believe this item was made in France but cannot confirm that. It weighs 1.3 ounce.

Sterling silver_ This piece is unique for its double ended design that is done in a vibrant ruby red color. Inside the bottle on one side is what looks like a cotton ball- my guess is that its original to the piece but I don't know for sure. The glass has some surface wear and scratching. Some small nicks and tiny chips along the edges and corners but its a modest amount and the glass still has a nice sheen to the surface. This lovely bottle is in great condition. There are some chips that you can see in the second photo. They are on the left side of the photo on the corners. It doesn't affect the way it sits and you can't see them when the bottle is sitting. On two corners on the upper part of the jar you can feel a small chip. Again you can't see them. Antique 1904 Sheffield Cut Crystal Sterling Silver .925 Scent Perfume Bottle
This beautiful antique cut crystal and sterling silver.925 perfume bottle was made in Sheffield. England, in 1904, by brothers John and William Deakin. The gorgeous repousse lid is detailed with scrolls and flowers and a center shield. Which is un-monogrammed. The hallmark, showing JD over WD, Sheffield, 925, and 1904, is on the collar of the lid. It is in excellent antique condition. With very minor wear, considering its age. Details: The exterior cut glass has no damage, chips or cracks that I see. Very minor shelf wear on the bottom. The silver collar inside the bottle has a small dent, visible in the photos, and only seen when the sterling top is off. The inside edge of the bottle has a thumbnail size hairline crack, which is stable(see photos) The multi-faceted stopper has one fleabite chip on a facet, and a couple of fleabites on the ... moretop and bottom edges, commensurate with use. The repousse part of the sterling lid is almost flawless. With no dents or damage seen. There are a few pin-prick size dents on the collar of the lid. Only noticeable upon close inspection. Scent bottle/vinaigrette is in very good condition, see photos to judge condition for yourself. Approx. 3 7/8" x 1 5/8" Over the course of the next twelve months or so. We are pleased to offer this rare antique original French signed Daum Nancy cameo glass perfume scent bottle travel decanter. It has a hinged. Sterling silver, attached top and the original acid etched crystal stopper. This is an estate fresh piece and we have not attempted to clean or polish it. It features a river valley scene with conifers. Perhaps an early spring scene. It also has beautiful Lily of the Valley flowers on the sides of the bottle. There is a dripping icicle design all along the top. Rim of the bottle and this is repeated along the top of the original stopper. Further emphasizing the early spring motif. There are 2 small French hallmarks on the sides of the sterling silver top; I can make out one which is a helmeted head in profile. The top has a vermeil gold wash on the inside. On the top of the closure is a young maiden ... moreand a floral design. The bottom of the bottle is signed in gold enamel Daum Nancy( France) along with the Cross of Lorraine. There is a small amount of loss to the decorative gold gild on the bottle and the stopper. There are no cracks or other major damage. The silver top is tight on the bottle. The closure stays closed nicely. The stopper fits well and is not loose. The stopper has some small flakes along the edge as shown in the photo. The inner top edge of the bottle has some roughness. Please note the ruler in some photos for your size reference. The bottle is approximately 3 3/4 inches tall. The end with the hinged top was actually for smelling salts. The other end with the stopper was for the perfume. The hinged cap is tight and works perfectly. It is initialed at the top. It has English hallmarks. One being the lion for Sterling. The two middle ones I can not make out. The end mark looks like the Queen. It also has makers initials JH. There are marking inside the lid but they are too small for me to see. The embossed end is screwed on. It does have one dent you can see in the photo. It also looks to have some kind of very light 1/2" seam line. Very unimportant and I almost didn't mention it because I only noticed it with magnification. The bottle still has the original ... moreglass stopper. The green faceted glass itself is in excellent condition. There are no real stretches or chips to the outside of the bottle. There are a few little chips to the inner rim of the cap side. The silver could use a little more polishing. Please check the photos carefully for all conditions and ask any questions.

Antique /Vintage STERLING SILVER CHATELAINE Perfume Scent Bottle DAISIES ? MOSER
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! More photos to come… Up for auction is a beautiful art glass chatelaine with repousse sterling silver lid. I don't see a sterling mark but it did test as sterling with my home kit. It is decorated with delicate white daisies around the top half. There is still some gold highlights to the center of the daisies. I think the daisies were connected with thin gold lines but those have mostly worn away. If you hold it just right to the light you can see the faint outlines of where the gold stems were. The color of the glass is very light gray color. The glass is blown as you will notice a slight bulge toward the bottom tip. The very tip has been smoothed to a gentle point. I only found 1 nibble to the glass but is it among the daisies and hard to find. You will have ... moreto inspect it closely. I could not get it to show up when photographed. There is also a small. Shallow chip along the rim inside the lid which I think you can see in the photos. The sterling lid is hinged and the hinge is in excellent condition. The lid snaps closed and there is a little ring under the hinge for connecting to a chatelaine. I note a few tiny dents to the lid, nothing major. The bottle is very clean with just a tad of sediment or dust inside. It is 4 1/2 inches long/tall and about 3/4 inches wide up at the top, just under the lid. Up for sale is this gorgeous perfume bottle with the stopper. This is made of a crystal glass with a Sterling Silver overlay design in the Art Nouveau style. Antique Emerald Glass With Sterling Silver Overlay Scent Bottle. I am pretty sure this is an Alvin. But the name Alvin does not appear on the bottle. There are some very hard to read inscriptions which appear to say patented 70 and 99 fine. The stopper has small chips and the bottom shows age appropriate wear. But the piece is in excellent condition. Also there are numbers; 069 crossed out and 717 same with the stopper. The bottle is 4.25" tall by 2.5" wide.

POSSIBLY 18TH CENTURY CRYSTAL AND SILVER TOPPED SCENT BOTTLE, PROBABLY DUTCH This is a superb very early scent perfume bottle. It dates to the early 1800s or possibly the 1700s. It is a stunning piece of silversmithing and workmanship. It really is everything that you look for in very early silver and Perfume bottles. The glass is faceted with 6 sides. The Silver top has repousse work. Beautiful engraving and lovely details. It opens and closes securely. There is another silver piece that sits on top of the globe which has engraved and openwork designs. There is no stopper. One in one of the sections of the top and slight denting near the base. The silverwork at the top neck of the bottle has bits of several of the tips that run along the facets missing. The front of the bottle shows a butterfly pollinating a peony flower and small buds about to blossom. The reverse shows the flower in luxurious full bloom for all to see its wonder and majesty. The bottle appears to be silver plate and perhaps was once part of a chatelaine. The bottle is in great condition for it’s age and shows appropriate use thereof. It measures 4 1/8” x 7/8” at its widest point. The bottle weighs 29.84 grams for sake of reference.

The bottle is 3-3/8" tall. 2-1/2" wide and about 1" deep. It is beautifully cut by hand. The cap is marked with tiny French sterling marks and the carnelian in the lid measures about 1/2" by 3/8" wide. The bottle's stopper is intact.
