SUPERB ART NOUVEAU ALVIN 999 SILVER OVERLAY GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE IRIS DESIGN Presented is a beautiful silver and glass stoppered bottle by Alvin. This piece dates to the Art Nouveau period. And is done very much in that style. The bottle is covered entirely with a thick layer of silver, with none of the interior glass visible from the outside, unlike most silver overlay bottles. The silver is fantastically engraved with iris flower designs, done in a flowing, sinuous style. This iris motif is continued on the silver of the stopper as well. The leaves and stems of the irises form an oval cartouche on the side of the bottle, which has never been monogrammed. Use this bottle to hold whatever fine perfume or eau de toilet you like, or simply as a lovely display piece. This ... morepiece is in great condition. The overlay has no splits or problems of any sort. The glass is not visible from the outside. But looking inside, you can see there are no cracks or breaks. The stopper fits snugly. Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Overlay Cranberry Perfume Bottle w/Stopper
You are bidding on a beautiful early 1900's Antique Art Nouveau Dark Cranberry Perfume Bottle with intricate silver lace decoration surrounding the entire bottle and a silver heart stopper. There is a silver cartouche with a fancy capital letter"D" engraved in the center of it. The word"STERLING" is stamped on the opposite side of the cartouche on one of the lower silver laces. Hard to see with the naked eye but it is visible. The bottle is in excellent condition except for some internal hairlines on one side of the inter neck of the bottle which we believe happened from the heat of the silver when it was being applied, there are no other defects. We do not believe the silver heart stopper is an original stopper to the bottle because most the bottles and stoppers we've seen on Ebay look like each other, at least ... morein this style, but it is a very nice stopper and it inserts into the bottle very well. The measurements of the bottle are: 2-9/16" tall, 2-1/16" wide. The measurements of the stopper are: 2" tall, 3/8" wide. With the stopper inserted in the bottle they are: 3-15/16" tall. We have started the bidding at a very reasonable price compared to what we have seen currently on Ebay and there is no reserve. The shipping cost is based on delivery in the USA only. You are viewing a lovely 1920's era Sterling Silver overlay perfume bottle. The bottle measures 7" high and with the stopper it measures 9" The bottom has a 3" diameter. The silver overlay pattern features a large bow on two sides. There is some cracking at the top inside;but. Does not leak or feel rough to the touch. The stopper has very tiny chips at the bottom from use, see photo, The bottom shows use around the perimeter. There is a light cloud on the bottom inside which we have not tried to remove. A fine quality late 19 th/early 20 th century extra large Bohemian faceted green glass dressing table scent bottle and stopper. Decoratively overlaid with silver floral scrolls and panels. It measures approximately 6 inches(15 cm) tall and 4.5 inches(11.5 cm) diameter at it’s widest point. There is a slight wobble to the stopper which is obviously original otherwise in good condition with no chips or cracks. Up for bids is an antique Art Nouveau style perfume bottle. It is made of glass with sterling silver overlay. I believe it is called squat shaped. The overlay is done in a very beautiful floral/leaf pattern. Overall the bottle is in good to great condition. As far as I could tell there is no loss of sterling. Repairs, or cracks/chips/breaks to the glass. The only mark I could find on it is Sterling. There is some minor residue inside from whatever was in it years ago. Also the sterling has a couple minor dings on the rim. It has a place for a monogram that is clear and ready for your personalization. It comes with its original matching stopper. The hand blown stopper would be in great shape if it wasn't for the one chip as seen in the pics. These 4 marks are on 3 different s/o bottles I own. They look like D X I This perfume is quite heavy weighing approximately 6.5 OZ. The silver stopper top is marked Vera. This piece also has a finely POLISHED PONTIL. In photos 5& 6 you can also see a Teardrop in the Stopper. Great chase work in the silver. This is a stunning perfume bottle featuring silver overlay at the base and a beautiful silver relief around the neck. The bottle is topped off with a silver screw-off top that also features some intricate scroll work. The bottle. In it's entirety measures 6 3/4" tall and is 3 1/2 inches at it's widest point. This bottle really is an amazing piece of artwork. The bottle top does show some age. As some of the silver paint on it has rubbed off over time. Antique Gorham Silver Overlay Glass Perfume Bottle --1871-- almost 6 inches tall
This auction if for a lovely antique Gorham silver overlay glass perfume bottle which was left to me by my dad's great aunt when she passed in 1998 at the age of 90. We believe this belonged to her mother. I have kept it with me over the years but never used or decorated with it. Its time for some one else to enjoy it. The bottle bears the Gorham's Lion- Anchor- G mark on the silver near the bottom(visible in photo. The silver is also marked with"D1558" From what I have researched. The letters indicate the year in which the piece was made. According to the website.925-1000.com the letter D indicates the year 1871. Please, I am in no way an expert on silver or Gorham. I have researched as best I can so that I may list this item as accurately as possible. I do not have expert knowledge and am only going based on what I was ... moreable to learn during researching. The condition of the bottle is as you would expect for its age. Unfortunately there are some cracks in the glass. There is a U shaped crack on the back of the bottle. There are some cracks on the interior of the neck of the bottle that are not visible unless the stopper is out. There is also a small flea bite in the glass on the bottom ridge of the stopper. None of these flaws are visible when the bottle is on display. I tried my best to picture them in the last three photos. The silver is in nice shape with a rich. Beautiful patina. The silver design creates lovely flower shapes over the glass. The height of the bottle, including the stopper, is almost 6 inches. The measurement around the widest part of the bottle is about 10.5 inches. The width of the bottom is about 2.5 inches. The width of the top of the stopper is a little over 2 inches. The bottle including the stopper weighs 15 ounces; just an ounce shy of 1 pound. Please view all of the photos as they are part of the description. Art Nouveau silver overlay glass perfume bottle and stopper circa 1910
This is a good example of the decorative perfume bottles being made during the early years of the 20th century in the Art Nouveau style. Please note there is some corrosion around the stopper and a small chip shown in the 3rd photo. The silver on the bottle needs polished but I will leave that to the buyer. Stands 6.75" tall with the widest diameter of the bottle at 4.5" Really a beautiful piece. Florida residents please add 7% sales tax.

Perfume Bottle For your consideration is an antique perfume bottle. The bottle is made out of glass and has a sterling silver overly with a floral design. The silver at the bottom is marked"D1887" and then a lion. An anchor, and another hallmark I cannot identify. The silver on the top stopper is marked"DEC" It stands roughly 4.25 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. There are a couple small chips on the bottom of the stopper where it goes into the bottle. Other than the that there are no chips. Cracks, breaks, repairs, or damage that I can see. I am not sure the exact age of this but it is definitely older. Possibly from the 1800s. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE ORNATE STERLING SILVER OVERLAY GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE
I am selling a family estate and will be listing many fantastic antiques. Art and estate items. This is a lovely antique glass perfume bottle with ornate sterling silver overlay. It is in good antique condition with extremely minor dings to the top and a tiny flaw on the bottom of the stopper. I cannot really feel a chip to the glass so it appears to be inside. Size is 6"x 6" No silver loss. Displays beautifully. The inside of the bottle could use a cleaning. I always list all items as found. Antique RUBY RED GLASS Perfume Bottle & Clear Stopper STERLING SILVER OVERLAY
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a ruby red glass perfume bottle with sterling silver overlay. It needs a little polishing as it is straight from storage to eBay. No cracks to the bottle neck. No chips or cracks to the glass bottle. The stopper is clear with sterling silver overlay but likely not the original stopper. It does fit the bottle well and has only a few fleabites to the end. The sterling silver is of a good thickness. As you can see in the photos, and I do not find any breaks or missing sterling overlay. The sterling overlay to the stopper is likewise in excellent condition. The red glass appears clear and clean- no haziness at all. There is a cartouche in front that is monogramed. The silver at the bottle lip does have a few light scratches and it could use a bit of ... morepolish. The pattern is a stylish Art Nouveau design. Just gorgeous! It is has a nice shape and is what I would call a medium sized bottle. With the stopper in place it is 3 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. I always encourage my customers to shop around on eBay(and then come back) You will find many bottles of this quality and size listed for $200-$300.
