A tiny chatelaine style scent bottle made of ruby red glass with a metal hinged lid. It measures 1-7/8 inches tall by 1-1/4 inches in diameter. Glass is in good condition. No chips cracks or damage. There is some old perfume inside that will be up to the new owner to clean. The inner stopper is gone. Originally this would have had 2 little rings on the collar for a chain to hang from a chatelaine. They are gone. The lid has a couple tiny dents. Shipping cost includes insurance.

Antique English Double Ended Ruby Red Perfume Bottle - Victorian Sterling Silver
A really pretty and charming perfume or scent bottle in a fabulous rich ruby red colour. This is a slightly more unusual example of a Victorian double ended bottle. This one having a cylindrical form rather than the more often seen faceted type. The lids too are a little more unusual, again made from sterling(unmarked as most of these bottles were not) silver with a pretty floral embossed decoration. One end is hinged, with the little glass stopper intact and the other end is a screw-top with the cork to the inside of the lid to keep the liquid from evaporation. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is Ruby Red cut glass perfume bottle with atomizer and jewel accent. The glass appears to actually be red glass with clear cut circular panels. The ruby red coloring is not"flashed" It is in excellent condition and I really can't find anything wrong with it. No chips. Cracks or repairs noted. The metal atomizer and collar are shiny gold tone and I do not see any dents to the metal. The glass syphon tube is intact but feels a little rough on the end so there is perhaps a fleabite I can't see. It is very clean inside and out. i have also created a little jewel accent for the place where you would normally attach the bulb. It is a red bead with gold accents and it screws on and off so you can remove it when you find a bulb. Just a little ... moresomething new and fun to dress up your bottles if you don't have a bulb. If you own a copy of the reference book"Perfume Cologne& Scent Bottles" By Jacquelyne Y. Jones-North, this scent bottle is pictured on page 24. The neck and lower edge of the one piece bottle are done in red glass. The actual neck of the bottle is cut into 10 equal sides. The glass on the entire body of the bottle has been acid etched to give it a frosted appearance. The surface of the glass was then carved with a combination of fern leaves and red flowers. Ruby Red Cased Glass Perfume Bottle, Crystal Stopper w Scent Dauber, Large, Rare
This listing is for a stunning Antique- Vintage Ruby Red Cased in Crystal Perfume Bottle with the Original Crystal Stopper and Scent Dauber. The bottle has an Art Deco shape with a broad base and arched panels. The piece has a red glass interior cased in crystal. The crystal casing is most apparent at the bottom and top rim. But is also visible on the edges from the proper angle. The base is ground flat and highly polished. The neck is ground and etched to fit the glass stopper. The stopper top is polished crystal with three rows of six panels. The crystal is amazing creating a prism effect with sunlight. The scent dauber is attached on the interior of the stopper with a white material. We've not seen this method of attaching the rod and are unsure what material is holding it in place. The dauber is very secure but does have slight wiggle ... morewith proper force. We've never seen this bottle style before with such stunning color. Quality, clarity and craftsmanship. The crystal portion glows slightly green under UV light. The red glows a bright orange. We'd guess the piece dates to the early 1900's due to the style, but could certainly be older. The quality, clarity and craftsmanship of the piece is indicative of French or Bohemian glass of the period, though there were artisans in America, England, Italy and others using similar techniques during the suspected period of production. The bottle measures 4 1/2" by 2 1/4" at the base. And 4 1/8" high without the stopper. The dauber measures 2 7/8" long. The stopper 6 1/4" from the rod to tip and 2 1/4" high when in place. With the stopper in place the bottle measures nearly 6 1/2" high and weighs 1 lb 2.1 oz. The stopper and dauber are in pristine condition with no cracks or chips. The grinding process on the stopper where it makes contact with the bottle is excellent with slight unevenness along the top edge. The crystal is impeccably clear. Minus the etched stopper portion of course. The dauber is fantastic and complete.

But what makes this one so special are the Red Color glass jewels. the center stones are round and a darker red color the triangle shaped stones are brighter red.
