OLD 1800'S CUT GLASS LAY DOWN PERFUME BOTTLE, MARKED STERLING LID, HALLMARKS
Old circa late 1800's beautiful cut glass lay down perfume with marked sterling top with sterling hallmarks(please see attached pictures) Item is 4&5/8" long. The glass is all hand cut, and the lid intricately detailed as shown. Under the lid hinge it is marked STERLING as shown and the hallmarks across from the sterling mark are as follows: C&S(not sure about the C definitely an S, though) lion facing left, an n or an h, and a sideways anchor. Condition is as follows: There are some tiny pinhead flakes on the glass and the sterling is tarnished as shown. Beautiful perfume, very nicely done cutting and sterling top, would make a great addition to any collection. Requires $6.00 shipping and US sale only. Antique French Opaline Perfume or Cologne Bottle, Souvenir Painting in Lid
This lovely old French opaline perfume or cologne bottle covered in perforated lattice ormolu. Is in very nice condition considering the age and delicate nature of the item. It's a mid to late 1800s Paris souvenir item for Grand Tour travelers. Set into the cap and protected under glass is a small painting of a palace. There is a small chip in the glass but it is on the underside because the top is smooth. There is no moisture damage and the picture is clear. Raised on a 1 1/4" diameter brass ormolu plinth, the oval body of the perfume flask, bottle is 3" tall. The bottle is 4 3/4" high in total. The base is etched in beautiful floral sprays. The handles have small female figures on them. The lid opens and closes easily. The top is slightly dented. The entire lid is unglued and comes off from the base. Rare Antique Amethyst Perfume Bottle Marked France - With Lid 2.75" Early 1900's
Auction features very early(would guess early 1900's age) amethyst perfume bottle with glass lid. I'm not sure of the fragrance or line of perfume but the bottle is very high quality and was obviously a very high end item for it's day. Height of bottle from bast to the top of lid when attached is approximately 2.6" and width measures just over 1.5" Miniature perfume bottle when held to the light is visibly purple. Unfortunately the jar is missing. They could very likely have been produced by Moser or any of the top quality European Glass houses of the day. Both the Lid and the Perfume bottle have heavy gold stylized Grapes& Leafing. The green is a beautiful deep emerald. Condition: There is very little gold loss. the bottom end of the glass siphon has broken off. The atomizer looks like it may be brass. The glass is in excellent condition with no damage. The bottle is 3-3/8" tall. 2-1/2" wide and about 1" deep. It is beautifully cut by hand. The cap is marked with tiny French sterling marks and the carnelian in the lid measures about 1/2" by 3/8" wide. The bottle's stopper is intact. It still has it's original red velvet lines box with a metal latch. The box is worn but very sturdy. I imagine it is a wooden box that has been covered in the red textured paper to give it the look of leather. The corners of the box are where you will see the most wear to the red paper. The hinges and little latch are also very secure to the box. No stains to the velvet interior. The little bottle is a very dark brown color. The gem in the lid is purple colored. The decorative metal band around the lid is in good condition with no breaks in the metal. No chips. Cracks or repairs to the bottle. The bottle is very clean inside and out.
