The Alvin Manufacturing Company was founded in 1886 by William H. Jamouneau in Irvington. New Jersey. The company moved to Sag Harbor, Long Island in 1895 and later changed its name to the Alvin Silver Co. in 1919. The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was known for making fine sterling silver. The Gorham company of Providence, Rhode Island acquired the Alvin Company’s dies and patterns in 1928. It measures approximately 3 3/4" with original stopper. There is a monogram. In script, on the cartouche. It is marked" 999/1000 Fine" with the Alvin hallmark and numbers" 3 111" The Sterling overlay on this lovely bottle bears the hallmark of the Alvin Manufacturing Company. Which became Alvin Silver in erlay 1900. The art nouveau silver whips and swirls around the inverted tear-shape of the bottle. Forming flowers and stems. The condition of this bottle is near mint. The only problem is that sometime in the last century the stopper was bumped and has a slight chip and two small crack inside bottle neck(doesn't show when it is on. It sits properly and doesn't take away from the beauty of this bottle) Please note in the photos I show how the bottom of the bottle and the bottom of the stopper have matching etched numbers: 18. Beautiful Antique glass perfume bottle w Etched 5 petal flowers crystal stopper
This is a lovely etched perfume bottle that I found in my grandmother's attic in a trunk back in the 1990's. It has an etched floral design on two side of the bottle and the flower has 5 petals. The other two sides are the leaves for the flowers. It measures 6 3/4 inches tall including the stopper. The stopper is a wonderful round crystal piece with many facets. At the base of the stopper right before the part that fits into the bottle it has 7 panels. Right below the rim of the bottle there are also 7 panels. The stopper fits perfectly into the bottle and with the matching of the number of facets I believe they were meant to be together. The glass the bottle is made of has a wonderful feel to it as in fine glass. It has no chips or cracks and no staining.

I believe this to be Czech Bohemian Art Glass. Etched& Painted Art Deco Era. Red& Black Linear Decoration. It measures approx 9 inches in height including the stopper. There are two or so of the tiniest chip marks on the rim of the bottom of the stopper and there are two tiny ones on the rim of the bottle. Both are shown in photo. A cut and etched crystal perfume dresser bottle. It has as thistle and flower design etched on the side. This piece is 6 1/4" tall. The bottom is 2 1/4" across, and the top is 1 1/2" wide, outside edge to outside edge. There is 1/16" chip and scratches on the bottom. See photos. There are no other chips or cracks.

Gorgeous Ruby Red(not flash) Hand-blown and etched perfume bottle/decanter, with cut crystal stopper. Very early piece, estimated ca 1880s. In overall excellent condition, with very small fleabites on dauber end of stopper. Bottle and rest of stopper has no chips, cracks or fleabites. Bottom of bottle has typical wear scratches, as would be expected with an item that is well over 100 years old. Bottle has bubbles in glass, indicating age and hand-production, with pontil, as shown in photos. Finely etched design includes a band of flowers etched between two of the ribs on the glass, and another band with alternating design. See all photos for closeup of hand-etched decoration.
